Most of you know this already, but I'll repeat it here for posterity's sake - you guys crashed the FiXT Store!! There was so much traffic on the release of Chapter 01 that the store literally locked everyone (including us) out. Management has been dealing with the situation almost non-stop since yesterday. We've already upgraded servers and it looks like we may have to upgrade again bc we're still getting shut down. Pretty cool, in a punk rock sorta way.

CHAPTER 01 ARTWORK SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENSION

Wow, that's a mouthful. (That's what she said...) I AM extending the submission deadline for artwork to be considered for Chapter 01 of "Wish Upon a Blackstar." The deadline was yesterday, but I'm going to extend submissions til August 1st. Read details at the link above. Also, just to clarify, I am not asking you guys for the album cover, so you won't want to include "Wish Upon a Blackstar" or "Chapter 01" or "Celldweller" in your art piece. I just want you guys to create something you feel is cool and submit it. Speaking of album art, Sam at Dose Productions has been slaving away on the art for Chapter 01 and I FREAKIN' LOVE IT. Can't wait to get this Chapter wrapped up and off my back and into your eardrums and eyeballs - mine need a break.

LIVE VIDEO STREAM OF "LOUDER THAN WORDS" MIXDOWN?

I almost uploaded some video today of the building progress of my future studio, but I think I'll wait til after Chapter 01 drops to do that. I DO have a video question though: Anyone interested in seeing video streaming live from the studio in the next week or 2 during mixdown of "Louder Than Words?" Anyone? Bueller? Well, you can post in the comments but Google Blogger has been a bugger lately and many of you have tweeted that you can't leave comments. So until Google solves this problem and world hunger and finds a cure for cancer, I'll repost at Myspace and you can comment there if you REALLY want to. I guess if nobody is interested, it makes my life easier anyway - I won't have to shower of fix my hair that day. Sweet.

I took this pic of myself right before I got so dizzy from spinning that I fell down and puked. Ok, not really - but I *did* take the pic and I *was* spinning, but I didn't really fall down or puke. I just added that for some added editorial excitement. I do have a somewhat disoriented look on my face though, so it's kinda believable. The still is actually from some raw video I shot on my laptop. I am heading off-world again, so i'm taking some footage with me. I want to *try* to edit together some in-studio stuff of me playing the different instruments for either "Louder Than Words" and/or "So Long Sentiment." We'll see how it goes...

And now for a question that only you can answer: If (and only if) there were a Celldweller iPhone app, what features would you guys want to see in it? I already know (Apple won't allow nudity, so your imminent suggestions to "upload pics of naked farm animals" isn't gonna fly. Just letting you know in advance.) Post suggestions in the comments, and even if you don't have an iPhone, you never know if some of these ideas and features could be incorporated into the web for all to see and share. Here's your chance to shine, so shine on you crazy diamonds.
