The Way Out West Fest originally got started out as a meeting ground for pin-up/punk rock photographers and models to hangout and play some games of the always Classic American sport, Bowling. Now, its become about more then just Models vs. Photographers. This year's Way Out West Fest is going to take place in the historic ghost town of Pioneertown, California. The town was built in 1946 as a film set for westerns, including the flicks of Gene Autry, The Cisco Kid, with Duncan Renaldo, Annie Oakley with Gail Davis, Judge Roy Bean with Edgar Buchanan, and many more. The movie set was to provide a place for the cast & crew to live, and have their homes used as part of the natural rustic scenery. Some of the original investors in the town were Roy Rogers, who also built the Pioneer Bowl, which is now host to our 1st Annual Bowling Tournament. Immediately after this years tournament we will take a quick walk over to Pappy & Harriet's, which will be host to this years Way Out West Fest featuring the self- proclaimed greatest band of all time- The Supersuckers!!!
BOWLING:
*Bowling will consist of a 5 person team and the admission fee is $175.00 which includes admission to both the Pre-Party at Pappy & Harriets on Friday Nigh the 17tht with a very special Mystery Guest band, the bowling tournament on Saturday, and admission to the Way Out West Fest.
* The Deadline for Bowling Team Submissions is- Saturday, October 4th 2008

DIRECTIONS:
Pioneertown is about 130 miles east of Hollywood. Take Interstate 10 about 100 miles to Highway 62 (29 Palms Highway - Joshua Tree National Park). Go About 20 miles NE on Highway 62 to Yucca Valley. The second light you come to in Yucca Valley is Pioneertown Road. Look for the sign; 'Pioneertown' and the Water Canyon Coffee Company on the NW corner. Turn left (north) on Pioneertown Road and go about 3 and a half miles. First, you'll see the sign; 'Pioneertown 1946', then look for Pappy & Harriet's Pioneertown Palace.
