Ever stop to think about how fast life goes? It seems when you're a kid--life passes pretty slow, your years at school, seems like forever before you can ever be independant, drive a car, graduate, get a place of your own. And then you get there and wonder what the rush was. I don't think anyone would disagree that life goes by fast. There were many people who touched my life along the way...and many that I miss. So, I thought I'd mention a few here.
Thanks to: Karen M., Nancy S., Sue L., Nathan D. and Donna B. who made my high school years fun. No, I haven't forgotten a single one of you.
Let's not forget my wild years: Jean F. and Davi L...thanks for getting me through them!
Thanks to people I have worked with over the years: Vivian E., Michelle, and particularly those at Hawk's...Jason T. (G 'n' R rules...how's Florida?), Nick M. (I still say the vampires win!), Thomas, Deb N., Alice L., Amy F. I miss working with you guys! And Clark, too, of course.
And please--any of you above that feel you want to touch base, email me via my web site: http://www.patriciarasey.com I'd love to hear from you.
To those who have passed on: Debbie M., Tim D., John B., Sue H., Little Gram, Aunt Mary and Ashley H. I miss the heck out of you and I will one day see you again! I will carry special memories of you forever and I will always love you.
And to those of you still in my life but I don't get to see as often as I like: Barb A., Teresa M., Evie L, Denise A., Suz O., Bev, Cheri and Sue...call me and smack me side the head. Life is too short! Love you, guys!
Any of you I may have not mentioned here--you know who you are--thank you for touching my life.
Never stop taking time to smell the roses! And to think only yesterday I was learning to ride my bike.

I know I haven't posted a new blog in, well, I can't even tell you how long without going back and looking at the dates. Probably because I don't think I have an interesting thing to say...most days. We had our fair share of fun and frustrations over the past couple of weeks. We went to the New England States to see my good friend Lara Adrian...thanks to hubby for the tour! I had never seen the ocean and now I have. It's gorgeous! Thanks to Lara and her dh for showing us a GREAT time and for the excellent food. We'll be back to go hiking! Now...if you haven't read her books, you are missing out! Her latest comes out December 29th! So catch up... http://www.laraadrian.comGetting back we put new carpet in the living room, so we spent the following weekend moving all the stuff we accumulated over the years (imagine the 4 book shelves alone, and hubby asked if I needed to go through them...get rid of books?), tearing up carpet, replacing some floor boards...then moving it all back when the carpet was done. Need I say...it looks GREAT! Love it. In the middle of all that, my dh says, "Honey, your computer isn't working." WHAT? It was the blue screen of death. Grrr...my son, (thanks, Nick!) restored it, then got us Windows 7 instead of Vista. Let's hope that nightmare is behind us. BTW--if you were in my email address book--you need to email me. I lost all my addies. Now if that wasn't enough, my husband later says, 'Honey, there's a black box on our TV screen (right in the middle)." Uh, oh! We did get that fixed as well...but enough already! Hopefully, life is back on track, got new carpet, the computer and tv are fixed...and I may delay the writing of CHARRED REMAINS in favor of writing a new project Lara Adrian and I spoke about. Thanks, Lara! Stay tuned... BTW--anyone read that INXS fired/did not fire JD Fortune and he royally screwed up and is no longer in the band? WHAT? And I looked forward to a second project with him. Can't you guys forgive and forget? I love JD's voice...say it ain't so! And Ill finish with...I just got a new Sony Reader...the pocket one. May I say I LOVE it! Thanks, hubby!! Have I told you today I love you? Have a great week and I am off to work... Patricia Follow me on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/patriciarasey

...who the Lovehammers are. Check them out at http://www.lovehammers.com or at http://www.martycasey.com I've gotten the pleasure of seeing them live twice. They are phenomenal. Like you haven't gotten that off my blog. Anyway...last day I will post on the subject, as I must move on. One of the best concerts I have had the pleasure of going to was the 'Hammer Cruise' in Louisville, KY a couple of years ago. It was a three hour cruise on the Ohio River with the Lovehammers playing acoustic. What a great time! Below is a picture of me and Marty (he's adorable and me...ugh! Maybe I should photo shop me out of there and put in a hot blonde, huh?). Hopefully I get to see them live again soon. Okay...commercial break is over. Hey...gotta help the guys sell some CDs! Now back to writing Chapter 4 of CHARRED REMAINS! Have a great and creative day... Patricia

...okay, so I bought the Lovehammers new CD Heavy Crown and all I can say is the wait was worth it. I LOVE it. My dear hubby had it purchased on iTunes and loaded in my iPod for my run tonight when I got home from work. Bless his heart. I'll still be buying the CD itself. Got to have a copy I can hold in my hands as well.
Anyway--some of the songs are perfect for running to: Neverfall...loved it. Heavy Crown...a song that hits home, nearly brought me to tears.
Really, guys...I'm not going to crit every song. I feel like that Mary Murphy of 'So you Think You Can Dance'...I want to stand up and screem. Okay...well maybe not. Just go support the guys and buy their CD. You'll love it.
Have a great night...I need to go shower now from my run on the treadmill. LOL Patricia

Okay, so I haven't posted a new blog in...ah...weeks. I guess I didn't have a whole lot to say, or maybe I figured what I had to say I just figured would bore everyone to tears. Well, the Lovehammers coming out with a new CD has me given me something to write about. I run on my treadmill to Marty and the boys. They keep me going. So I am happy to have a new CD to put on my iPod. Okay...so I am predictable. Yep...same CD...every time. I could sing the tunes by heart...but you seriously wouldn't want to hear that. I'll stick to writing. Well...I could continue here or start on chapter 4...hmmm...no brainer. I'd bore you here. So, off I go...well, shower first, then write. Have a great night! Oh...and go buy their new CD HEAVY CROWN! Hugs.... Patricia

Current mood: happy
I just wanted to wish you all a great Memorial Day weekend...stay safe! We'll be heading for the camper Friday and I won't have Internet access until late Tuesday when we get back. (I'll be taking my laptop to get some writing in!) But...I'll be able to Twitter. Anyone here doing that? If so...link up if you will. My addy is http://www.twitter.com/patriciarasey I'm not sure about the new phenomenon yet, but I'm testing the waters. At least I can keep in touch via cell phone when there is no Internet connection for me. But what exactly do you type in these things? I keep thinking no one will care what I have to say. Anyway--if you Twitter...head on over. Okay Idol fans? What say you about the finale? Kris won? Okay...the kid can sing, but he doesn't have the pipes Adam has. On the other hand...I'm glad Adam didn't win. Actually--after hearing the song they would have to sing likely as their first single, I knew Adam shouldn't win. No offence to Kara, but the song wasn't exactly Adam's style. So sorry, Adam--I decided not to vote at all the last night. Adam proved he could sing with KISS and QUEEN. He handled all the high notes with his and Kris' preformance with the legendary band. Good thing...Kris wouldn't have been able to hit those notes. In my opinion, both gentlemen are winners and should do very well for themselves. As for me...I'll be following Adam's carreer, though. His voice is outstanding and he's more my style of music. Last nights show was probably the best finale of Idol ever. I loved seeing KISS and Queen preform, not to mention all the other greats! Cyndi Lauper and Allison...loved it! Rod Stewart? The man still has it. And the list could go on...but this gal...needs to get to work. And speaking of, yes, Tim...you won that round. Have a great weekend! Patricia

Current mood: pleased
Can you say Brady Quinn? Yep...the same hottie that won my latest obsession contest. I finally got to see this fine looking young man in person. Let me tell you he is just as hot in person, ladies. He'll make your heart skip a beat. Pictures? Yes, ma'am. I do have them. Keep an eye out here in a day or so and I'll post.
Also...I was lucky enough to get some pictures with a few on my FAV fighters. Yes, I'm talking UFC. I'm a huge fan. We went to the Arnold Classic on Saturday. We had a blast...well, for the most part. I seriously don't think they can pile any more people into one venue. There were times when you were in the middle of thousands of people, not moving, wondering if you could possibly get out if you had to. Trust--the answer would be no. But hey, we'll be there next year. Again...and happily so.
The downside to my weekend...no Dan Henderson. I was so hoping that I would finally get to meet him in person. I looked the entire building, hoping for a glimpse because his web calander had a Clinch Gear booth at the Classic. If it was there--I didn't find it. So Dan...give this poor woman a break. LOL PLEASE check in next year on Saturday. I'd love to meet you. Can't wait for TUF to start with Coach Henderson!
Signing out this rainy day and I promise to post pictures ASAP. Hugs... Patricia
