Current mood:  inspired
Category: Writing and Poetry
i am in holland sitting in a garden and i decided to write a poem...

sometimes i lie in the snow
to see if i can smell
the musty gray days
of dusk
and watch the moon
fall into the water
scratched by the glass
from the balloons window.

i held on tight to the string
and blew from the lamppost
glittering with warm candlelight...
took me to the earth's heart
where i drank from the shadows
in the elixar bottle
made from the syrup of your stories

it tasted like the meadows
in their sleep
tossing like the shores of
the sea...
like the phantoms in your
dreams.

you held me
pale with fright
sang me a lullaby
so the flowers would warm
my weathered hands
from the 40 days of rain
that caught me in the web
of a widowed night

i can look thru the glass
and see the emeralds
that lie in the fields
with the magpie nests
and think of what
the dark is like
in the tree of the cavern.
and think of what
the dark is like
in the ashes
of the ambers.

The second paragraph reads as follows:
"Lenee sings with a theatrical 'child like' voice, reminding us of Joanna Newsom and Bjork. Often her songs breath a sigh and a whipser, sometimes she lashes out passionately. Twelve songs, more than forty minutes, her songs come with a dreamlike, melancholic ambience alongside with poetic lyrics, sometimes hard to understand, regarding the beaty of love with all the hangovers that come with it, spirituality and nature."
