So Em took off her pamper and when I tried to put it back on her she walked off towards the bathroom saying "pee". I asked her "You have to go pee?" and she just nodded her head.  (That's her new thing. Shaking her head yes. So cute) So we went to the bathroom and she tries to belly up (like brother does) and I said no no no like this. I put her on the potty and held her steady and she peeks between her legs waiting. All in all only about 2 drops came out but she was trying! I busted out Zave's old little potty and then he decided to teach her while going potty himself. So cute! He made me leave the bathroom but I could still hear him... "No Emry sit down. Ok Emry go pee. Just push" She's growing up so fast! She's only 19 months old! Zave didn't potty train til almost 3 years old!

So proud!

Zave is getting too freaking smart and too cute. Here's a few conversations I've had with him recently.....

X: MaMa where's my Robin? (batman and robin toy)
Me: Umm.....I think Emry took it in the batman helicopter to my bathroom.

X: I found it. Robin wasn't in the helicopter. He was just on the ground.
Me: Maybe he got scared and jumped out.

X: (with the most serious face I've ever seen)MaMa! This is only a toy! It's for pretend! It does not walk around by itself!
Me: How do you know? Remember Toy story?.....

X: MaMa! I KNOW! It's only a toy!

He was so serious during this conversation. It was so funny.

And then the other day

Me: Did you wake Em up the other day? Did you get her out?
X: No. She took her pamper off all by herself.

Me: Oh no! What did you do?
X: I tried to put her on the shelf. (the changing table) Cause that's where babies go when they have a poopy pamper or when they take their pampers off all by themselves.

Me: And did you get her up there?
X: Yeah. And she fell on my face in the crib.

Me: Oh no! She sat on your face?
X: No she did this (spins a car around and lands it face down)

Me: Oh! She landed on HER face.
X: yeah.

He knows too much. It's all downhill from here!

This weekend pretty much had a lot of sucky moments!

We (the kiddos and I) went to Bedford Splash again this weekend. We pretty much go every weekend b/c the kids love it and it's cheap and it's HOT!!! Anyways, I was real excited b/c my friend from work was supposed to meet us there and I could finally go on the slides with Zave. Now I don't really care if I go on the slides or not but Zave begs me every time to go with him and I never can b/c I have Em and 2 people can't go on the slide at the same time and I can't just leave her by herself cause she'd drown! Zave is always disappointed b/c he has to go by himself and it's sad. But this weekend was going to be different. She would meet us there and she could chill with Em and I could go with Zave. He was WAY excited but... she flaked. I was looking for her for the first hour we were there and Zave kept asking and asking but....nothing.

Then, Em was following some birds in the corner of the waterpark and ended up stepping on an extremely HOT metal grate/cover and burned her foot. It blistered up immediately and she cried for 45 min before passing out (sleeping)in her bed. The on call nurse said it was a 2nd degree burn all across the ball of her left foot and down the side a little. Poor baby girl! She's hardcore though. When she woke up it was like it never happened.

Then we went to Monkey Business and got there like 30 min before they closed so the kids didn't get to play very long. And they LOVE that place!

We ended the day on a good note with Bud's snow cones. Best snow cones ever.

Sunday... not much better. Beginning of the day was great. Took the kids to Bear park early in the morning and spent 1 1/2 hours there. The kids had a blast. Things going good.

Later I went to a birthday party for a former coworker's son at Pump It Up Party. I really like this girl. She's a great girl and super nice. But there were other former coworkers there that I would have rather not seen ever again. People that either entirely droped me when I left and made NO effort whatsoever to contact me and people that I just didn't know or like that much. But whatever. It's not my party. It just made it hard to talk to the hostess cause they didn't leave her for 2 seconds. Then, near the end, another one of my good friends, another former coworker, showed up. She's a REALLY good friend that I actually still talk to but the same thing happened. They girls all surrounded her and talked work so I couldn't really converse with her either. At least Em needed alot of supervision there so I wasn't just standing around. It also sucked because I know I invited all of them to my son's 3rd b-day party and only 1 showed up but they all made it to this one so that sucks. Anyway the whole party was AWKWARD.

And after that party Zave was extra booty and annoying.

That's pretty much why I don't have friends. It's too much work and they don't really have anything vested in it so they don't care if they disappoint you (or your kids). I have enough going on with my family so I have decided I don't need them.

Anyways that's my story. So you know.

We went to the Ft Worth Stockyards Eggstravaganza easter egg hunt today and it was horrible!
So we left a little late because that's how it goes with kids and we got there with about 5 min to spare. At least we got good parking and it was free. The only 2 good things about the whole adventure! We find the 2-3 year old section and it was about 5 people deep around the whole roped off area. I told Zave to squeeze up near the front and when they say go, to go get candies. I thought it would be ok because these are 2-3 year olds and they can do this pretty much on their own. WAY WRONG. Every parent went into the roped off section to help their kid get all of the candy. This eventually made a tight circle closing in on itself. I stayed outside of the roped section holding Emry (Thank God). About 1 min later people started breaking up cause there was no candy left.
It was at that moment that I realized I couldn't see Zave anywhere! I walked around with Em for what felt like forever looking everywhere but no Zave. I was feeling WAY paniky and finally found someone working there and described him and what he was wearing. No more than 2 min later he was found. ThankGod! I almost started crying and Zave was close to crying too. That was one of the scariest moments of my life! I felt like he was gone forever. We left shortly afterwards b/c it was too crowded and we weren't having any fun. And to top it off, the candy was those marshmellow/candy eggs which, come to find out, Zave doesn't even like! At least Em likes them though.
At least we found a nice park and playground to go to and it was a nice day. No more big easter egg hunts for us! Too many people!

Donkin donuts Known by adults as Dunkin Donuts. Pronounced by my kid as donkin which makes me think of "badonk-adonk" which, for those who don't know is another word for booty. I guess it's appropriate.

Humeur actuelle :PROUD!!!!

We went to a free little carnival thing today at an Arlington YMCA. Just me, Zave, and Em. It was ran by some big brother/father-son organization and had alot to do with indians- it reminded me of boy scouts-creepy! Anyway it was free and since we're always strapped for cash, free anything is always good. So it had little carnival games like bean bag toss and the likes. The kids won little beads to put on a string of leather to make bracelets (gay i know but at least it wasn't all about the prizes, but about the fun). There was a dunking booth which my son loved! He was actually pretty good and loved seeing other kids get dunked in water.

About half-way through, Zave says "Mama, I want to do the music thing". We go over to the Karioke booth (which hed had NOT witnessed anyone singing at) and he walks right up to the mike, angles it down to his mouth, and just stands there and waits. The men running the booth were a little shocked, as was I, to see such a little guy up there ready to sing. They put on "Old MacDonald" (which my son doesn't REALLY know the words to)and stood back to watch.

It was the cutest thing ever!He just stood up there, with his mouth pressed right to the mike, and sang along. Now, mind you, he mostly only sang the e-i-e-i-o part but he did so good! He also did this weird pinching motion thing with his fingers (when he wasn't molesting his penis) which mad him look kind-of "special" but it was so funny all the same. I bet no other 3 year old got up there to strut his/her stuff! I would never go up in front of people to sing. This kid has balls!

My kid is awesome!

Whoever knew he was such a karioke star????

So let's begin with this: my son is absolutely obsessed with monster trucks. He has 12-15 of them. We have 3 dvds that we have to watch....daily. My sis and I saw that monster truck jam was coming to our town and we knew we would have to sacrifice our non-white trashiness and go.

It made his day, week, year. He had so much fun. It actually made me tear up to see how excited and happy he was. I love that kid so much. So it was about the loudest damn thing I've ever heard. Even louder than my husband's snoring!!! He didn't want to wear ear plugs or let me cover his ears or anything. Now remember, this is the kid that screams all day, at the top of his lungs, without tiring, for no damn reason. So I guess it's not really a surprise that he loved the sound. I, however, probably had blood streaming out of my ears. I'll never tell him this but, thank god daddy listens to his stereo on full volume in his car when I'm not there.

We saw a lot of couples going to see the show but they had no kids with them. Really? I would NEVER have gone to see monster truck jam if my son didn't love it so much. That's white trash. Isn't there a nascar event on or something?

Anyway, it was a great day and we all had a good time.

Professor X took his morning bottle at about 530. He had completely wet himself with last night's debauchery (or was it urine?....it all blends together). His faithful maid stripped him of his lounge wear and freshened him up, but she failed to re-clothe his delicate skin (that nitwit!!!). Good help is so hard to find. X dozed back into a peaceful slumber.

When he awoke several hours later he cried out but the maid failed to come. She must have snuck out while he slept. How many times had he told her...she is not allowed to leave!! He had a plan brewing in him to get back at her. It came out all of the sudden, brown and stinking. The maid hadn't covered him up! It was the perfect opportunity!!!

X quickly ripped his diaper off and proceeded to redecorate the inside of his sleeping chamber. He had never really liked the Winnie-the-Pooh decorations and besides brown suited him so much better. It wasn't an entire makeover...he stayed within the "Pooh" theme. Pleased with his work he wiped his hands on his legs and stomach and proceded to jumping up and down and causing a comotion.

Several minutes later the maid opened the door....but wait! It wasn't the maid at all but rather the butler! Oh well! A servent is a servent and the surprise would not fall on blind eyes. Victory was his!!!  All in a day's work, he thought. Now on to plans of ruling the world.....

Today's Moral: NEVER let Professor X run around in just a diaper
