So another year almost over and we are still alive and kicking, actually in fact this has been are most successful time ever! Thanks to you all of our fans. I guess music is somewhat recession proof. Its been just over 13 months since our last Album release but since then we've played a lot of shows all over the world most of them sold out, playing to an estimated 30,000 fans. We also passed the 100,000 combined record sales mark, even broke into the Last.fm top 90 artists of the year and played to a few million people live on Turkish TV!

So we have been busy upgrading our Studio for the last couple of weeks, we finally finished the upgrade last week to the new Pro Tools HD3 system. For you recording techie types we can record 64 simultaneous tracks of audio and playback 196 tracks, plus endless midi options and an obscene amount of plugins and yes it's more than we could ever use.

We also are currently upgrading the live show to the new Digidesign venue system so we can have the best live sound possible, it's a similar system to what NIN was using recently. We are the first band in Ireland to buy the new SC48 live mixing console. Thanks to everyone in Big Bear Sound for all their help in both the studio and live!

We will be testing out the new live system and show in the Roisin Dubh in Glaway on January 15th and will have it for all our ground tours from now on. Will there be any other big changes? I guess you will have to come and see.

Unfortunately all this has delayed the new album quite a bit, we have written most of the songs and recorded half of them, we should have a new single in February or there about and reveal the new album artwork in March. But it looks like we will only have it finished and released by Summer 2010.

As for Touring, we will be back on the road in February in the U.K. and Ireland, more shows in March/April/May but depending on how the new album is progressing, the album will take priority over touring. We will be back to mainland Europe and the USA in Autumn to promote the new album. It's a long way off but we are planning to put the US tour together with both Caspian and Irepress. We have just signed a worldwide deal with The Agency Group, one of the worlds biggest live booking agents.

Here is the upcoming live shows so far for 2010:

15 Jan 2010 8:30P Roisin Dubh Galway, Ireland - Tickets
16 Feb 2010 7:00P Corporation, Sheffield, U.K. - Tickets
17 Feb 2010 8:00P ICA, London, U.K. - Tickets
18 Feb 2010 8:00P Sumo, Leicester, U.K. - Tickets
19 Feb 2010 (Free! if anyone wants to book us, contact rich(AT)sleepsoundagency . com
20 Feb 2010 7:30P Brudenell Social Club, Leeds, U.K. - Tickets
21 Feb 2010 7:30P Islington Mill, Manchester, U.K.
22 Feb 2010 7:00P Bongo Club Edinburgh, Scotland
23 Feb 2010 7:00P Oran Mor Glasgow, Scotland - Tickets
26 Feb 2010 7:30P The Academy, Dublin, Ireland - Tickets

Also the new "Butterfly Explosion" record "Lost Trails" which Torsten produced will be available from February, check out some the new songs on their myspace now. They will be playing with us on all our upcoming shows.

So that's it for now. Happy New Year to Everyone!

Thanks to all our fans who managed to see us live in Istanbul, another sold out show, we promise to play a bigger place next time so everyone can see the show more easily.

Special thanks to Ceylan Sayin for making the show happen and to Erdem Capar

Thanks to everyone who came to see us, we sold out our 3 shows, we never expected that and you guys were awesome. We promise to return again next year. Sorry for the lack of merchandise, we were unfortunately limited to how much we could bring because of the airline weight restrictions and we sold out most of the merch in Helsinki.

We would like to than Esa, Anu and all the crew at Blow Up That Gramaphone
for making the shows possible and looking after us very well and of course Ghost Brigade for playing the shows with us, check them out they are on tour in Europe at the moment.

A shout out to Sean Foster from O'Connells irish pub in Tampere, thanks for the after party and free drinks!

It was nice to see some snow again.

So another belated tour report, sorry we have been tired and the alcohol has just about drained out of our bodies, Polish vodka is great!

Super thanks to everyone who came out to see us again, Poland was awesome! (I honestly never thought we would have Bras thrown at us). Special thanks to all the organizers, promoters and all the behind the scenes people.

Also we would like to thank all the bands who played with us on the shows. They were Caspian, Tides From Nebula, Daturah, Atlantis, Kasan, Kokomo, Radare and Holz.

Caspian are on a monster tour through Europe in support of their new album, if they come nearby you, go see them!

OK, I uploaded lots of photos on our Myspace and Facebook, mainly fan photos, thanks for those! Also there is lots of fan video bootlegs below.

So we have only a few shows left this year, we will be in Cork on October 16th, this will be most likely our last show in Ireland this year. We will be off to Finland in early November for three shows and there will be three shows in Russia in late November, we will have details on that soon. Maybe one or two more shows elsewhere but nothing we can confirm yet.

Further a field, we will have a U.K. tour in February, we should have those dates announced in late October. There is more touring in the planning stages for 2010 but nothing we can confirm yet. It will depend on when we have the new album ready. We have 5 new songs written and recorded already but the new album won't be ready until late April 2010 at the very earliest.

First of all a big thank you to everybody who came out to see us in Southern Europe, we really enjoyed playing all the shows and the crowd reaction was just awesome! We drove 8000 km, played 8 shows and sold out 7 of them. Our apologies to the hundreds of fans who were turned away at the shows, especially in Rome, next time out we promise to play much bigger venues!

Special thanks to all the promoters and to the bands who we shared the stage with!

We will be taking a break from touring for a while but we will be back on the road in Europe in September and in the meantime we will be playing one or two summer festivals. We should be announcing some more one off shows for the Autumn too.

On the music front we will be writing and recording more songs but we won't be releasing any new music this year, a new album won't be released until late 2010 at the earliest. Torsten is busy finishing the new "Butterfly Explosion" record, that should be ready in the next month or two.

We will have new vinyl of "All is Violent, All is Bright" and our current s/t album in the next few weeks plus the last few copies of the "Far From Refuge" vinyl will be available from our website next week. Also we have two new t-shirt's, they will be available soon just waiting on some new stock as we sold out of most sizes on the last tour.

Finally loads more photos (more photos) to see, some funny ones in Pisa, that was the hottest show ever and yes that is sweat! Also lots of stuff on youtube. Some of the shows were filmed and recorded, we hope to have some of that ready in the next few months.

Take Care, be aware!
