Comedy Central has closed a deal with comedian Ron White for an animated project titled "Hounds."

Blue Collar Comedy veteran White will voice the lead and co-executive produce "Hounds," with Chris Thompson ("Ladies Man") set to write.

"Hounds" is described as a blue-collar Southern neo-gothic comedy. White will voice Chicken, "a countrified Yoda with a bottle of Jack and a bag of weed, an opinionated Southern philosopher who considers himself the center of the universe." In the show, Chicken mentors his relatives and roommates in an eccentric small town.

White is repped by APA and MacDonald/Murray Management.

*We'll keep you posted on the details.

I want to thank you guys for stopping by to check out what's goin' on. I'm gonna go ahead and take this time to introduce myself and come out of the proverbial closet, if you will. My name is Shea White and I'm Ron's little sister.

I maintain most of his website information for him and from here on out I'll be keeping you privy to the latest information on tour dates, the newest videos and whatever else is going on in the world of Ron. That is, when I can get him to answer his damn phone.

As you can imagine, between booking the shows, getting to the shows, performing the shows, partying after the shows, drinking when he can and relaxing between gigs with a few rounds of golf, Ron's a pretty busy guy - so that's why I'm here. I have been bestowed with the familial duty of gathering all the information I can and passing it directly to YOU.

First up, thanks for watching Behavioral Problems on Comedy Central. You guys helped make it the highest rated stand-up special premier of the year with 3.3 Million viewers. That Rocks!

Go get your uncensored version of the CD or DVD now at
Amazon.com and iTunes.

Then go ahead and check out this review by the cool cats over at PunchlineMagazine.com too.

Next, I'd like to invite you to join Ron's fanclub. Many of you out there don't have time to scan through bulletins or hope that you're logged in the second someone you give a damn about just posted a status update. If you're subscribed to the blog, then, yay, keep doing that...BUT if you go to TaterSalad.com and click "Contact Ron" at the bottom of the page (enter your email address and blah, blah, blah), it will automatically sign you up for the Mailing List where you'll receive our Newsletters. It's an update on everything we can pull together that's emailed directly to your inbox. It's that simple.

But before you go rattling off with some shit I already answered 847 times today, let me go ahead and answer some of the most frequently asked questions HERE:

"Does Ron really drink on stage or is that tea?"

Alright, even if it was tea he'd still be physically consuming it so the answer would be "yes," although the more appropriate question to ask would be "What is it that Ron's drinking?" Your answer, friends, is scotch. Every time.

"What kind of cigars does Ron smoke?"

Davidoff Millenium Blend

"We're havin' a barbeque next weekend and think it'd be really neat if Ron could stop by and do a show for us! I'll even give you our phone number and directions to the house!"

Granted, this is not a question but is a scenario frequently posed. I've lived in the same house for 12 years and he's never even been to MINE, so please don't take it personally when Ron doesn't show up knockin' on your door. He's just got other shit to do.

"Can you send me some free tickets to the show?"

Um, no. If Ron gave free tickets to everyone who wanted to see his show, he wouldn't have money to send me for new shoes. And I like shoes.

*Also, please keep in mind that this is my Brother. I don't need to hear from random chicks how hot he is all day because it kinda makes me gag a little. I know people want to touch his penis, but I don't need to hear about it. Please.

Another note: please don't send nasty messages - if you don't think Ron's funny, I don't understand why you would take time out of your day to tell anyone. Go back to your mother's basement and finish watching that Dane Cook video. I also don't need to hear that he looks like an aging, overweight alcoholic. Nobody's lettin' a cat outta the bag on that one. Ron doesn't give a damn and things like that only hurt MY feelings, and when you hurt MY feelings, you shall incurr my wrath. Ron can be pretty sharp-tongued, but he doesn't get PMS. Play nice, kids...that's all I'm sayin'.

Thank you all for tuning in.

Cheers,
Shea White

Ron White - Maybe he can’t fix stupid, but stand up Ron White delivers in his brand-new stand-up special, "Behavioral Problems" which premieres on Sunday, April 19 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
The sick and wrong Texan of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour who bragged that his home state had put an express lane in for death row inmates, and shared anecdotes about his champion bulldog's "happy ending" visits at the veterinarian is coming back to Comedy Central.

It's another excellent follow up to his successful "They Call Me Tater Salad" tour.
In this special, White riffs on such wide-ranging topics such as the unintended consequences of excessive drinking, his unique approach to funding the war and the joys of a bidet.
White proves that he still hasn’t solved his "behavioral problems."
Encore presentations air Sunday, April 19 at 10:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 21 at 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. and Saturday, May 2 at 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.
"Ron White: Behavioral Problems – Live, Extended And Uncensored" DVD will be available in stores nationwide on Tuesday, April 21.
From Comedy Central:
Comedian Ron “Tater Salad” White is best known as the cigar smoking, scotch drinking funnyman from the “Blue Collar Comedy” phenomenon. But with two Grammy nominations, a Gold record, top-rated one-hour specials on COMEDY CENTRAL, a book that appeared on The New York Times best seller list and CD and DVD sales of over 10 million units, White has established himself as a star in his own right. Capitol Records Nashville will release White’s third solo comedy album “Behavioral Problems” on Tuesday, April 21.

By ROBERT W. BUTLER
The Kansas City Star
Comic Ron White first came to national attention as part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour featuring Southern funnymen Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy.
But White — who typically performs with a lighted cigar, ice bucket and decanter of scotch — never really seemed at home with the other Blue Collar fellas. They were playing to a family audience, while White seemed to be fighting to keep it PG-13.
He was like the reprobate uncle struggling to behave at a wedding.
Now we have “Behavioral Problems,” a concert that airs Sunday on cable’s Comedy Central. The DVD that came out this week has much of the same material, except that it’s 40 minutes longer and a whole lot dirtier. Which is to say it’s pure, undiluted White. Families need not apply.
The guy’s stage persona fascinates me. He may speak with a Texas drawl, but White feels more like a jaded hipster than a good ol’ boy. (If you’re old enough to remember the Southern-cool comic Brother Dave Gardner you have a head start.)
Between sips of hooch and puffs of smoke, White ruminates on moments from his life, which sounds like hell on wheels.
He devotes one priceless bit to how he fell in love with the bidet in his hotel room: “Fifty million gay men can’t be wrong.”
He tells a funny story about his bust for possessing 7/8 of a gram of marijuana: “When I have 7/8 of a gram of marijuana, I consider myself to be out of marijuana.”
White describes an electronic airport check-in system that allows passengers to choose their seats on a computer monitor: “What would make that a great idea is if there was a photo of the person sitting in the next chair.”
He pays tribute to Norman Mailer, who died at 84 after a life in which the writer drank daily, smoked pot, was married six times and stabbed his second wife: “I’ve never read one of his books but I gotta tell you — I’m a huge fan.”
White observes the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain, and suggests that for all the stupidity on display it should be renamed “The Thinning of the Herd.”
And he finds great irony in the fact that “the stuff I spray on my sofa to protect it should I spill a drink is actually called Scotchgard.”
He’s frequently politically incorrect, complaining that airport security guards will frisk 10 grandmas so it won’t seem like they’re picking on a guy in a turban (“Buy a John Deere cap for travel days,” White suggests), and talks about sex with an eye for ribald detail equal to that of Richard Pryor.
And then, just when you think the guy is all leers and lewdness, he describes a visit to an Army hospital filled with Iraq war vets — and moves you to tears.
In short, Ron White is nobody’s idea of a role model. But I’m glad he’s doing his thing. In fact, I’ll drink to it.
