okay, so i don't think 99% of you will even care about this, but here's a review of a concert i went to last night i just emailed to my best friend charles up in seattle. he's the only one i know who'd really appreciate this: omigod, it was unreal! LOL i took a nap and overslept by one hour, so i was totally gonna miss the first 20 minutes of her set. turns out, she went on late and i was actually there EARLY. the deutsch gods were with me that night LOL the whisky is fucking TINY and it wasn't terribly crowded, either (who knows who doro is in the US?). so any spot in the venue is a great spot where you can see the stage (back of the floor, side of the stage, upstairs by the railing). but first things first: doro still looks amazing! she's obviously taken care of herself. she's still thin and her arms had muscles. she didn't stand still for the entire set. she's a ball of energy: headbanging with her blonde mane, shaking hands with the front row, etc. she still wears lots of leather and metal studs. her voice was still as powerful as it was 20 years ago (i told her that later), just like on the albums. when she first came out she yelled "how's your power?!" LOL love her thick german accent. she introduced almost every song and sometimes it was even hard to understand her. the set was heavy on classics from her old warlock days, with about half being from her solo years (and newer songs). they all rucking rocked. her band was great. lots of energy. there were plenty of sing-alongs for the crowd (as all heavy metal shows should have LOL ). the awsome drum solo even had a sing-along (to the tune of the intro to KISS' "i love it loud"). doro really knows how to work the crowd, whether it's letting the fans sing into her mic during the chorus (which she did often) or encouraging them to throw their fists in the air or clap. she's got great stage presence. i can see why she's still so popular in europe. she still puts her heart and soul into the music and live show. pretty good for a lady who just turned 43 earlier this month and has been touring for 24 years (since 1983! security was really cool and friendly. they let everyone stay after the show to meet doro. i bought a $25 shirt with warlock's "triumph & agony" cover art. my drinks were only $9 (while they'd be $12-$13 at the dance clubs i frequent). earlier, i chatted with a cool guy i'd seen at the iron maidens shows who used to be the singer of an aerosmith tribute band. doro really took the time out to meet her fans after the show. she crouched down by front stage and signed autographs for about 15 minutes, and then walked over by the exit door for about another 20 minutes taking pictures & signing more autographs. and she didn't rush the fans along. she chatted with each and everyone for at least a couple minutes (to everyone else's dismay that were waiting in line and afraid security was gonna give us the boot LOL ). i yelled "schnell!" a couple of times LOL when i finally got to meet her, i noticed her piercing baby blue eyes. they're like the ocean. i told her i'd been waiting 20 years (since i was 14) to see her live! she told me the hasn't been to the states since 2000, when she toured with dio & yngwie Malmsteen. i told her i saw dio with iron maiden and that he was shorter than i was LOL she seemed to be about 5'2" at most. i believe i told her "ich liebe dich" and thanked her for still rocking. she said something like "of course!" her set lasted from about 11:30PM-1:30AM. i left the club at 2AM and got to bed by 3AM. i had to get up for work at 8:30AM. today's gonna be tough, but at least i get out at 3:30PM. it really was surreal seeing her. waiting so long to see an artist that i've loved (and was sometimes obsessed with) since i was 14. another life-long dream come true! LOL i think i had a smile on my face for about half the show, knowing what a rare treat it was to see her (and at such a tiny venue). i want to thank Juliet Randall of the band rusty eye who opened that night (sorry i missed their set). she mailed me my $10 discount ticket (normally $17.50). i never would have even known about the doro show if she hadn't of randomly spammed me on myspace (because i left doro & warlock as one of my favourite 80's metal bands). here's the set list to the best of my recollection (i may have left a couple of her newer songs out): warlock: 1984 metal racer burning the witches 1985 hellbound earthshaker rock (opener) 1986 vorwarts, all right! true as steel 1987 all we are (closer) i rule the ruins east meets west metal tango fur immer doro: 1989 hellraiswer 1998 love me in black 2002 fight 2006 breaking the law (judas priest cover) blurry pic of doro onstage she did a lot of headbanging and whipping her blonde mane around. i hope i still have that kind of energy in another 10 years. me with Tommy Bolan (guitarist from 1987's "triumph & agony). he played the last couple songs onstage. he said he was the first american in her band (from brooklyn, NY i believe he said). me with the queen of metal herself, doro pesch. in my opinion, she was the only female 80's metal singer of a band that i really liked (lita ford was a solo artist in the 80's). she had a the voice of a screaming banshee, long blonde hair, natural sex appeal (but never over-the-top). i can check another one off my "to-do before i die" list LOL

just sent this to 9 avalon email addresses. (yes i know it's almost 8AM. red bull is the devil): dear sirs or madames, i am writing you to tell you how disappointed i was with avalon tonight (friday afterhours). i was at the arena for red earlier tonight and convinced my friend to go to avalon afterhours at 4:30AM. your flyers promote that it's the only afterhours friday night. after paying $20 each to park, and bribing your doorman $20 (i hope you know this goes on. he will let people wait in line for up to 30 minutes, while letting "VIPs" cut in line to go inside if they give him a tip), we paid $35 EACH to get inside. well, after 25 minutes, security kicked everyone out (they said the spider room was packed upstairs). i feel this was both unfair and unethical. obviously, if we'd have known we would only be allowed to stay inside for less than a half an hour, we would have never paid to get inside. the security guard up front said we could wait up front and the manager would be right out. but of course, 15 minutes later, he never showed. i've been clubbing since 1998, and i've never been taken advantage of like this. the LA club scene spreads primarily by word of mouth: websites, flyers, and fellow clubbers. this is not a way to run a club. i don't know if the promoters are just not aware of this, or don't care. but i want to make sure the club-owners are aware of this. we go to your club every week to have fun and SPEND MONEY: parking, entrance fee, bar, restroom attendant, etc. please don't take advantage of us. i am not some 22-year-old newbie, nor some european that has no idea has LA clubs are. i am a writer, a reporter, and a clubber. i hope you take this seriously. edit: the flyer says it's open until 7AM, by the way. and let me make it clear that i'm not upset with spider after dark. it was the avalon management & bouncers i had a problem with. so mario's funny picture comment wasn't quite accurate.

here's a list of my top 15 favourite films. i couldn't narrow it down to just 10. and it actually hurt to pick just 15 :P now, i'm not saying these are the GREATEST films ever made, just that they are my favourites. i went to film school, so i know a good film when i see one. these are films that i can watch over and over again. the kind of film that, whenever i catch it on tv, i can't shut it off until i see it until the end. the list is in no particular order: CONTACT (Contact (1997) (d. Robert Zemeckis, w. Carl Sagan) i recently chose this as my favourite film of all-time. THE PRINCESS BRIDE was my previous choice. jodie foster (a long-time favourite actress of mine) carries the film. stunning special effects (for it's time) and a wonderful script based on astronomer carl sagan's novel.

THE PRINCESS BRIDE (1987) (d. Rob Reiner) for the last ten years i always said this was my favourite film. it has everything: romance, comedy, action... robin wright (the future ex-mrs. sean penn) is beautiful in this one. cary elwes stars as the farmboy/dread pirate roberts.

MEMENTO (2000) (d. Christopher Nolan) this is the only film i've ever seen more than twice on the big screen. it makes more sense every time you see it. (if you've ever seen it, you know what i mean.) lenny is a lost soul who, due to an accident, has no long-term memory. he can't remember anything for more than a few minutes. every day he wakes up, he feels like it's the day after his brain injury. what is so unique about this film, is that the director unfolds the scenes in reverse order, where the first scene is the finale, and the last scene is the beginning of the "story." he did this so we would be just as temporally disoriented as lenny is.

KALIFORNIA (1993) (d. Dominic Sena) a lesser known film about an ivy league yuppie couple going on a cross-country road trip with a white trash couple. juliette lewis gives a stunning performance as a good-natured simpleton and brad bitt (who she was dating at the time) as a sociopathic serial killer. very dark, smart, and beautifully filmed.

KILLING ZOE (1994) (d. Roger Avary) another lesser-known indie film (an american-french production), starring eric stoltz and french actress julie delpy. director roger avary was an old buddy of quentin tarentino's. this movie is a bit more raw than tarentino's polished films. about a bank heist in paris gone terribly wrong.

RAPA NUI (1994) (d. Kevin Reynolds) this film, unfairly skewered by the critics upon its release, blew me away the first time i saw it. the story can be seen as an analogy of modern day society: a microcosm our our own environment. easter island, before the white man discovered it, was a paradise. it was eventually turned into a barren land, due to the use of all the trees to build the stone heads. stars jason lee and the gorgeous sandrine holt.

THE BEACH (2000) (d. Danny Boyle) another film generally panned by critics, stars leonardo dicaprio as a typical arrogant, american asshole. the drop-dead gorgeous french actress virginie ledoyen plays his object of lust. leo happens upon a secret, tucked away island, but the utopian veneer soon peels away to cold realities.

MONTY PYTHON'S LIFE OF BRIAN (1979) (d. Terry Jones) this may be the funniest movie i've ever seen. i first saw it as a teenager, and i can still appreicate its comic genius today. the british comedy troupe tells the story of an ordinary jewish boy, living during jesus' time, who unwittingly becomes a messiah. needless to say, conservative christian groups thought this film was blasphemy and it was very controversal upon release. i tend to like any film that pisses of fundamentalists. so many classic and hilarious scenes...

GROUNDHOG DAY (1993) (d. Harold Ramis) this is a film people seem to either love or hate. if you cannot stand repetition, you may want to skip this one. i actually saw this film on my first date. bill murray plays an obnoxious, sarcastic, yet funny and charming new anchorman who keeps reliving the same day, over and over again, for years on end. he moves from disbelief, to denial, to anger, to suicide, to acceptance. andy macdowell plays his lovely object of affection.

OFFICE SPACE (1999) (d. Mike Judge) mike judge, of BEAVIS & BUTT-HEAD fame, created this mini-masterpiece of office politics. an average guy is awakened out of his day-to-day slumber and starts living his life as if there's no consequences. based on his MILTON shorts that originally aired on "saturday night live."

SLC PUNK (1998) (d. James Merendino) the role matthew lillard was born to play, in my opinion. about a group of anarchist punk rockers in the 1980s, living in the very conservative and close-minded town of salt lake city, utah (the mormon capital of the world). lillard's rebellion of the establishment starts to crack as he slowly realizes that he needs to make a future for himself.

SWIMMING WITH SHARKS (1994) (d. George Huang) another corporate office film, this time as a dark comedy. frank whaley plays a country bumpkin, recently relocated to los angeles, who works for the boss from hell. kevin spacey steals every scene as the cold-hearted, abusive bastard. michelle forbes (also in KALIFORNIA) plays a supporting role.

GARDEN STATE (2004) (d. Zach Braff) zach braff wrote, directed, and stars in this drama-comedy about a tv-movie star revisiting his home town in jersey. he decides to leave his medication for depression in los angeles, and slowly emotions he hasn't felt in years come to the surface. natalie portman (wonderful, as always) plays his wacky, but beautiful new love interest. one of those films that captures the feelings of falling in love. a refreshingly unique film.

MATRIX (1999) (d. Andy & Larry Wachowski) okay, keanu reeves isn't the greatest actor, but he plays his part well. a great nothing-as-it-seems film that makes you question reality, a great story, stunning special effects, exciting action sequences, and love story. remember how blown away you felt after neo took the red pill?

THE LORD OF THE RINGS (2001-03) (d. Peter Jackson) if you're a fantasy, dungeon & dragons geek, this film is automatically on your list. is there anyone left in america who hasn't seen this trilogy yet? director peter jackson faithfully brings the tolkien books to life, and we are all greater for it.
i may have to make a top 15-25 list of the movies that almost made it into this list. thanks for reading...

i guess not EVERYONE got the "black attire is requested" memo, but for the most part, it was a pretty dark night :) the highlight of the night was obviously sybil singing live onstage to some trance during charles torrence's set. everyone on the dance floor was cheering and dancing. :) larchmont is located in a nice area in hancock park, and free parking was available just down the street. i hadn't been there since 2004 when red was there. it's a nice, intimate club, with an outside smoking lounge upstairs. after 2AM, security clears the club, and it turns into after-hours. thank you, D'Morse, for rescuing me from a security guard who was man-handling me. :) iliana's boyfriend was in italy. when the cat's away... ;) steve, rachel and michelle the visuals upstairs were pretty sexy, and trippy too! LeeAnn, Alex and his newly-turned 21-year-old girlfriend. sybil singing with charles torrence on the decks. they were all there for you, sybil! :) kristina sky closed her set with a trance classic, veracocha's "carte blanche." cecille with her new haircut, and luz with her...well, boobs LOL jimmy rockin' the louis vuitton decks upstairs. patrick & jules striking a pose. but who's that douchebag in the background giving me the finger?! it's none other than cecille's boyfriend, charles! he doesn't have myspace, so it's okay to call him a douche LOL eric, gwen (and friend), and kevin. kevin's visiting from colorado. joshua lee downstairs. i told stacy that he may be ugly as fuck, but he's a great dj. she answered, "he's not that great a dj." LOL DJ S'Eskilian spun a surprise set after-hours (not). D'Morse spun from 2-4AM and again at 6AM! :o

repost from my blog posted 1/21/06:
okay, the following films all scared the crap out of me, and not just because something jumped out at me, but left a lasting nightmarish, impression on me. the first few i saw when i was probably too young to be watching horror movies, so that probably explains the extra scare-factor. i never saw THE EXORCIST as a kid, so as an adult, i didn't find it scary. here's my list:

Alien (1979) (d. Ridley Scott) man, this was a true horror movie. the sequel, ALIENS, was more of a big-budget action flick. but this one set such a dark, ominous tone.

The Shining (1980) (d. Stanley Kubrick) kubrick knows how to make a film! nicholson gives a performance of a lifetime, as a struggling novelist who slowly slips into madness, not only because of extreme isolation and inner demons, but the haunted mansion itself. i remember being so scared when the little ball rolled down the hallway towards danny on his big wheels, that i ran out of the room and couldn't see the end of the movie! :o

Friday the 13th (1980) i'm sure if i saw this today, i'd find it totally cheesy. but as a kid, i kept having visions of some serial killer hiding under my bed, gripping my forehead, and slicing my throat. this, added with the real-life serial killer in richard ramirez, led to me sleeping on the floor in my sister's room for weeks on end.

Poltergeist (1982) i think everyone was freaked out at this movie. remember that clown on the chair that ends up attacking the boy in his room? and the house (in exterior shots) is located in simi valley, near my old jr. high.

Cujo (1983) i also saw this movie when i was young. that rabid st. bernard, bloody, barking, and growling, kept a mother and her young son trapped in their broken-down station wagon for days of pure terror. when the son had an epileptic fit, i remember feeling sheer terror.

Silence of the Lambs (1991) (d. Jonathan Demme) this one got under your skin. it's hard to say who's creepier, the gentlemanly hannibal lector or the trans-gender wanna-be buffalo bill. jodie foster gives yet another stellar performance.

Fire in the Sky (1993) this one may come as a surprise. the first half of the film is pretty slow-moving and uneventful. you're thinking, "what the hell is this movie about?!" but then comes the horrifying alien abduction scene, complete with eye-probing needles, and the aftermath that leaves the main character a broken man.

The Blair Witch Project (1999) this one people either love or hate. this was a brilliant film, pure and simple. i think the acting was naturalistic and amazing. i was so scared for the entire last half of this film.

The Sixth Sense (1999) (d. M. Night Shyamalan) this movie's just plain creepy. the story totally sucks you in and doesn't let you go until it's over. and it's got shymalan's trademark (and best) surprise ending to date.

The Mothman Prophecies (2001) (d. Mark Pellington) this one's just creepy. it's a slow-building film that sets a mood. i got chills up my spine when over the phone, "the mothman" describes to richard gere the contents of his own pockets. freaky!

The Others (2001) another film that does a great job at setting a scary tone. the way it was filmed was brilliant: the lighting especially. a very well-acted piece that has a great surprise ending.

The Eye (2002) chinese film that not many people in america have seen. i believe tom cruise's production company is remaking it. a blind woman receives a cornea transplant and begins to "see dead people." truly horrific imagery of the dead, a great nail-biting elevator sequence, and also well-acted.

The Ring (2003) if you weren't petrified when you watched this film you either didn't see it in the theatre or had a buddy that cracked jokes throughout the movie. this one and BLAIR WITCH are my votes for scariest films ever. and the original japanese version has some nice touches the american remake left out. suzette slept with her lights on for a week after seeing this movie. the imagery sticks with you for a long time afterward.

28 Days Later (2003) (d. Danny Boyle) not technically a zombie-flick, but close. an infection breaks out in london that basically turns people into raging, mindless animals. this one's very brutal and suspenseful. great story, too.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) i was pretty disturbed by this film, and i know girls (especially catholic girls) that wouldn't even go see this one! they did a good job using flashbacks and leaving the decision up to the viewer whether emily really had demons inside her or just had some type of rare brain disorder. based on true events.

this one's a bit lengthy, but it's brilliant and hilarious. definitely worth the time to read. it's earth day after all, take some extra time out of your busy (satur)-day to think a bit deeper.
this is not to be too seriously :o he's a comedian. a very smart, sarcastic, cynical comedian LOL i am very much an environmentalist, against big-business and big governments. i think his main point was that us humans are so arrogant to think that we are killing the planet. we're not really harming the planet itself, just the LIFE on this planet, including ourselves.
there's been several "extinction events" (both before and after the dinosaurs) from comets and meteors that have wiped out 90% of all life on our planet. although, you couldn't really tell this ever happened just by looking around. the question is, do we want our grandchildren to live on an earth with a tolerable climate, clean our to breath and water to drink, and diverse animal and plant-life? or do we want them to inherit a harsh, dull, and unhealthy planet? scientific research says the we don't have as long as we originally thought to turn things around and start healing the planet before things get so bad it will start a chain reaction of events (global warming, the ozone, etc.) that will be irreversible (at least in our children's lifetime). hope this clears up my point of view :) eric the green __________________________________
George Carlin's "The Planet Is Fine" (1992)
We're so self-important. So self-important. Everybody's going to save something now. "Save the trees, save the bees, save the whales, save those snails." And the greatest arrogance of all: save the planet. What? Are these fucking people kidding me? Save the planet, we don't even know how to take care of ourselves yet. We haven't learned how to care for one another, we're gonna save the fucking planet?
I'm getting tired of that shit. Tired of that shit. I'm tired of fucking Earth Day, I'm tired of these self-righteous environmentalists, these white, bourgeois liberals who think the only thing wrong with this country is there aren't enough bicycle paths. People trying to make the world save for their Volvos. Besides, environmentalists don't give a shit about the planet. They don't care about the planet. Not in the abstract they don't. Not in the abstract they don't. You know what they're interested in? A clean place to live. Their own habitat. They're worried that some day in the future, they might be personally inconvenienced. Narrow, unenlightened self-interest doesn't impress me.
Besides, there is nothing wrong with the planet. Nothing wrong with the planet. The planet is fine. The PEOPLE are fucked. Difference. Difference. The planet is fine. Compared to the people, the planet is doing great. Been here four and a half billion years. Did you ever think about the arithmetic? The planet has been here four and a half billion years. We've been here, what, a hundred thousand? Maybe two hundred thousand? And we've only been engaged in heavy industry for a little over two hundred years. Two hundred years versus four and a half billion. And we have the CONCEIT to think that somehow we're a threat? That somehow we're gonna put in jeopardy this beautiful little blue-green ball that's just a-floatin' around the sun?
The planet has been through a lot worse than us. Been through all kinds of things worse than us. Been through earthquakes, volcanoes, plate tectonics, continental drift, solar flares, sun spots, magnetic storms, the magnetic reversal of the poles...hundreds of thousands of years of bombardment by comets and asteroids and meteors, worlwide floods, tidal waves, worldwide fires, erosion, cosmic rays, recurring ice ages...And we think some plastic bags, and some aluminum cans are going to make a difference? The planet...the planet...the planet isn't going anywhere. WE ARE!
We're going away. Pack your shit, folks. We're going away. And we won't leave much of a trace, either. Thank God for that. Maybe a little styrofoam. Maybe. A little styrofoam. The planet'll be here and we'll be long gone. Just another failed mutation. Just another closed-end biological mistake. An evolutionary cul-de-sac. The planet'll shake us off like a bad case of fleas. A surface nuisance.
You wanna know how the planet's doing? Ask those people at Pompeii, who are frozen into position from volcanic ash, how the planet's doing. You wanna know if the planet's all right, ask those people in Mexico City or Armenia or a hundred other places buried under thousands of tons of earthquake rubble, if they feel like a threat to the planet this week. Or how about those people in Kilowaia, Hawaii, who built their homes right next to an active volcano, and then wonder why they have lava in the living room.
The planet will be here for a long, long, LONG time after we're gone, and it will heal itself, it will cleanse itself, 'cause that's what it does. It's a self-correcting system. The air and the water will recover, the earth will be renewed, and if it's true that plastic is not degradable, well, the planet will simply incorporate plastic into a new pardigm: the earth plus plastic. The earth doesn't share our prejudice towards plastic. Plastic came out of the earth. The earth probably sees plastic as just another one of its children. Could be the only reason the earth allowed us to be spawned from it in the first place. It wanted plastic for itself. Didn't know how to make it. Needed us. Could be the answer to our age-old egocentric philosophical question, "Why are we here?" Plastic...asshole.
So, the plastic is here, our job is done, we can be phased out now. And I think that's begun. Don't you think that's already started? I think, to be fair, the planet sees us as a mild threat. Something to be dealt with. And the planet can defend itself in an organized, collective way, the way a beehive or an ant colony can. A collective defense mechanism. The planet will think of something. What would you do if you were the planet? How would you defend yourself against this troublesome, pesky species? Let's see... Viruses. Viruses might be good. They seem vulnerable to viruses. And, uh...viruses are tricky, always mutating and forming new strains whenever a vaccine is developed. Perhaps, this first virus could be one that compromises the immune system of these creatures. Perhaps a human immunodeficiency virus, making them vulnerable to all sorts of other diseases and infections that might come along. And maybe it could be spread sexually, making them a little reluctant to engage in the act of reproduction.
Well, that's a poetic note. And it's a start. And I can dream, can't I? See I don't worry about the little things: bees, trees, whales, snails. I think we're part of a greater wisdom than we will ever understand. A higher order. Call it what you want. Know what I call it? The Big Electron. The Big Electron...whoooa. Whoooa. Whoooa. It doesn't punish, it doesn't reward, it doesn't judge at all. It just is. And so are we. For a little while.

here's my list of favourite 80s sitcoms. not necessarily the BEST shows, but shows i tuned in every week for. check out my friend bryan's blog for more...
Three’s Company john ritter was so much fun to watch. i liked terri the nurse the most. richard klein (larry) came into our blockbuster encino sometimes, with silver hair, and was always friendly.

Police Squad! this is where THE NAKED GUN movies got their start. it only last a single season, but leslie neilson is a comic genius.

Bossom Buddies a young tom hanks and beautiful donna dixon (of SPIES LIKE US) is all you need to know about this one...

Family Ties where we all got to know and love michael j. fox. he was a die-hard conservative republican during the reagan era, while his parents were liberal ex-hippies. and justine bateman was ditzy andhot.

Perfect Strangers who didn't love balki? (remember bronson pinchot's hilarious turn in TRUE ROMANCE?) my sister was in the opening credits waving to balki while he's leaving his village.

The Tracey Ullman Show okay, this one's more more of a variety show, than sitcom, but it's still comedy. and it was shot in front of a live audience. i actually got to see the taping of of episode live. oh, the simpsons also started out on this show. thought you'd appreciate the old school picture

My Two Dads sure, it was a bit cheesy, but it was funny and sometimes endearing too. paul reiser used to be a stand-up comic. dramatic actor giovanni ribisi got his start here as the goofy friend who always pined after the daughter.

We Got it Made i don't even remember if this was a good show or not. but teri copley, the marilyn monroe of the 80s, was in it. and that's all that really mattered to a 14-year-old at the time! ;)

Charles in Charge two words: nicole eggert. she was the hottest girl at that time. this was before she got implants for "baywatch." :P there were other actors in the show too, but i can't seem to remember any of them other than her... ;)

Day By Day julia louis dreyfus before "seinfeld." i was hot on courtney thorn-smith (of SUMMER SCHOOL and "melrose place.") and christopher daniel barnes was funny, and a metal-head, too. we were rare on tv at that time.

Married…with Children this is my all-time favourite show from the 80s. this show and "the simpsons" were the reason fox became so successful back in '87. christina applegate was hotter than hot. i actually got to meet her when i went to the taping of the show back in '89 (i got drunk later that night for the very first time). david faustino (bud bundy) was as short as i was. and buck the dog sniffed my sister in the parking lot. funny, funny show, that went downhill after steve (david garrison) left the show and was replaced by ted mcguinley.

The Wonder Years technically, more of a dramedy than a sitcom, but it had it funny moments and is too great not to mention. anyone old enough to catch this show when it was on knows how special it was. and for your added enjoyment, here's a shot i found of winnie (danica mckellar) from a stuff magazine photoshoot from last year...
