I got my belly button pierced yesterday. I was so excited to actually be able to do somehthing kinda cool since i've been 18. I was a tad bit scared to tell my mom what I've done but i decided that it would be ok. She just responded by yelling at me and saying that she thought that I'd be too scared and that its a waste of money. Lately, she goes off on me about the stupidest stuff. I love my mom but it just gets to the point that I avoid being around her at all costs. No matter what it is, she finds something to bitch at me about. I'm so sick of coming home from being at school and work all day to my mom bitching me out for something. I really don't know how much more of it I can deal with. Today she started at it again and when I couldn't take it anymore and yelled at her, she simply said "I'm just giving advice" I don't want her freaking advice. I'm legally an adult and I can take care of myself. I don't really get why lately she's been trying to hold me as close as she can. Somebody please help me.

Do you think that in a relationship, your boyfriend/girlfriend should be a priority? I know time is needed for friends, but shouldn't most time be spent with your bf/gf?
