Hahaha, that's what Clare just told me.  She is so right. 

Bill just said it was good to see me laugh.  Says I've been more melancholy than usual and that he cares about me because I am like a brother to him.  Or something like that.

I taught the hell out of a computer basics class today.  It went pretty smoothly until two ladies started giggling and completely lost focus.  But they said I had amazing patience.  I've been told that often.  Is it true?  Go ahead, I'll wait...

I'll be spending the rest of the evening stamping parking tickets and directing people to the bathroom.  Seriously, three people asked me where the bathroom was as I typed that sentence.  At least I'll have some fun denying people laptops. 

I.  Am.  Very edgy. Tonight.  Ah. 

Maybe it was the Scooter's coffee. I TOLD them to take it easy on the hazlenut but it was too sugary.  Ahhh.

In other news, Charlie Parker drew quite the crowd tonight.  After the mob leaves, I will destress with a friend over some of kc's finest.

I was really amusing myself yesterday reading through old blogs, esp the ones regarding funny sh*t that happens at work.  It's just that after over three years, things get a little ordinary to me, but that doesn't mean that others won't find them hiLARious.  So here goes today's little morsel of deliciousness...

Patron: Where are your Indian art books?
Me: Like, India the country...
Patron: NO!  Like, Indians!
Me: Native Americans?
Patron: Uh, yeah!

He goes and picks up some books and asks for a bag.  All we have are small bags, so I can't help giggling as he tries to fit two huge art books into a small bag.  The end.

I'm fascinated by this book at work today: "Perfumes: The Guide".  It rates every perfume ever made and gives interesting/amusing descriptions of each.  I just ran across the scent Patchouli 24 by Le Labo (given the highest rating, 5 stars, by the way):  "The smell was at once beguiling, salubrious and toxic, and felt like a perfume composed for a fiercely intelligent librarian."  Maybe I should check that out?! 

To contrast: Paris Hilton by Paris Hilton (one star): "Competent but depressing woody-fruity-floral aimed at ditzes."

Or how about this: Burberry (also one star): "The horror: this one comes wrapped in a piece of wool in Burberry's hideous trademark plaid.  This is a while floral so vile that only A. A. Gill, who famously described Burberry Brit as 'chav spit,' could do it justice.  Words fail me."  - I don't really know what that means, but it sounds pretty bad.

Cristalle by Chanel, a perfume I've worn since high school, got five stars (yeah!) and is described as "beautiful, and a little scary."  Totally me, right?

I am finally sort of maybe warming up to Hot Chip.  I saw them back, oh, September?  I don't even know.  It was very perplexing to me to be at a concert where everyone else was madly, insanely crazy about a band!  I think I got overwhelmed.  But they might be OK. 

Also, Radiohead's In Rainbows.  Especially one song.  I don't know what it's called - thanks iPod shuffle.
