The Wolf Had a Hundred  Eyes .......

The  wolf had a hundred eyes...
I guess, if I  did not go mad tonight, I never will..
I guess, if my heart dealt with the enormous sorrow I felt tonight, it  will deal with anything.. 
I have told you  before, I'm telling you again: I do not wish to be called a human anymore. I refuse to be called a human.

Tonight, I have seen  torture with my very eyes. With these "human" eyes, I saw the torture  the humans and their children did on a god's creature, known to be a "wild" wolf..

I saw  a living being's eyes filled with fear.
I saw a piece of wood shoved in his mouth, and I saw him being tied up. I saw  him tied  to a chain from his hind leg, dragged on the ground.

I saw a bunch calling themselves "humans", pick the animal up from his ears triumphantly, and  pose to the cameras. 
I saw the blood  pouring out from his mouth when they took the piece of wood out.
I saw the  torture this creature went through, all because God created him as a wolf, and he was acting  by his nature.
I saw a huge Anatolian shepherd dog released onto him to kill him.
I saw the humans poke him with sticks after he was ripped apart by the dog.
I saw the creature known as "humans" torturing a creature that was acting according to his nature. I saw the humans enjoying this very torture.

I was  so afraid of what I saw tonight...
I was not afraid of the "wild" wolf one bit tonight...
I was so afraid of these humans, and their children tonight.
They were laughing, giggling, posing, enjoying... 
The wolf, on the other hand, had his eyes wide open, looking at each and every one of them. The wolf  was all eyes... As if the wolf became hundreds of eyes, and seeing everyone who  was torturing him and enjoying it, as well as everyone watching him on their  tv sets.

The  wolf was seeing the whole world, and asking:  WHY?

I will never ever forget that wolf, his eyes and what he lived tonight.
I will also not forget the humans that called the tv and said  "you are exaggarating, similar things are being to humans as well, who cares about a wolf?".

One day, when being a human or an animal will not matter, what will matter is helping an unfortunate being in need of a help, that will be the day when we will all truly become "human".

One  day, when people ask for your help and you do not respond "I say humans first", at that  exact moment, your heart will open its doors to a being in need of help, and  you help this being even if it's an animal, that will be the moment when things will change.

One  day, when being a human or animal does not matter, but you feel the pain the being goes through in your own body, when your body and your heart aches, that will be the day  that you will understand what that wolf felt...

And I  guess that day will be the day when your heart will become the wolf's heart, and your eyes will become the wolf's eyes... Then, you will ask the world: = WHY?

According to the answer from the Malazgirt Municipality is:

The persons who totured the wolf named Ahmet Gürel, Halis Güvenir, Dinçer Yazc and Nimet Güvenir was punished to pay 278 YTL according to the animal protection bill law number 5199.

But this is nothing for the tortured wolf!

According to animal protection bill law number 5199:

Taking animals into care ARTICLE 24  Persons who act in breach of the provisions of this Law relating to animal welfare and who in this manner seriously neglect the animals in their care or cause them pain, suffering or damage will be banned from keeping animals by the supervisory authorities and the animals will be seized.  The said animals will be given to new owners or taken into care.
We applied the Mus Mayor to seize these people's animals and take them into care.

To Native Americans, the wolf is a powerful
spiritual symbol. They are considered to be
teachers or pathfinders. The wolf star was red,
an esteemed color, associated with the wolf by
all tribes. Also known as Sirius, it is the brightest
star in the Northern Sky. The milky way was the
wolf's trail-the route to heaven. In time, the wolf

with summer, among the trees with the willow,
and among the great natural forces with the clouds.

As you may recall, we conducted an undercover investigation inside a contract testing laboratory used by Iams, the dog- and cat-food manufacturer, in 2002 and 2003. We uncovered horrible abuse: Confinement had caused dogs to go insane, and beagles were laid out on a filthy floor with chunks of muscle removed from their legs. We documented that sick cats and dogs in cages were suffering without veterinary care. Click here to see our original video and report.

From the moment that we first released our report, we have been working on this casedespite all sorts of misinformation from Iams. No law even requires the company to test on animals!

Now there is a new development: We have just been notified that the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which enforces the federal Animal Welfare Act (AWA), has confirmed many of the violations of the AWA that our investigation first uncovered and documented at the Sinclair Research Center, where Iams was the biggest client. These violations included the following:

Untrained personnel were performing animal experiments.
Caging facilities for dogs and cats were so stifling that staff were unable to endure the ammonia levels.
Failure to provide veterinary care and observe animals on a daily basis
Failure to provide animals with the minimum required space
Sinclair now has a choice. It must either challenge the findings or settle the case with the government.

PETA's success in getting 19 dogs used in experiments for Iams out of Sinclair was wonderful, but it was not enough. We will continue our battle against Iams' purely profit-driven use of animals in laboratories. We owe it to the animals who are still suffering. But we can only keep working with the support of caring people like you.

Jill is a rescuer and full time (19 years) military. She lives in South Carolina and has helped numerous dogs over the years. Many, like Hagrid, were badly injured either by being hit by a vehicle or who knows what and Jill took them in.  Before Jill got Hagrid, pictured below, he'd been hit by a car, and not treated. the vet that tried to treat his foot that is bent at a 90 degree ankle (left front) said it was missing a bone, so we think it was fused. Well, it's still a 90 degree bend and he cant walk on it. Jill has had 2 different opinions one was pts the other was amputation. Most feel the foot has become too atrophied to become useful. All of her dogs have come from abusive/neglectful situations (like Mysha, hit by a car and left on the owner's front porch for 2 weeks w/o  treatment-Jill went and took him) and she is doing the absolute best she can do, about to lose her house, spending every dime on the dogs, but she's finally agreed to accept help. Jill has done everything she possibly can for these dogs on her small military pay. she doesn't live in a lavish home, in fact, she doesn't even have a television. She and her mom live in a very modest house, share a bedroom, have a tub but no shower and for those of us who have stepped up to help her, I can honestly say we have a great respect for what Jill is managing to do.
Now, Jill has found out she is being deployed in April. Her money is gone, she is about to lose her house which would mean her mom would be homeless once she is deployed. Jill is not asking for money, I am. A wonderful vet who I know and fully respect, has offered to help do all the vetting at the lowest possible cost he can. He will even go get the dogs, 4-5 at a time and bring them back to his house where his vet hospital is, vet them and hold them until homes or rescues can be found. For the 20 dogs that the vet, who wishes to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, feels a safe estimated cost to vet them all in addition to Hagrid's leg being amputated is $3000 and this will include their HW testing AND treatment if needed. I know it sounds like a lot but if you figure this is 20 dogs, one in need of amputation, it is only $150. per dog and that includes the vet driving 3.5 hours ONE WAY to pick them up 5 or so at a time. That's at least 4 trips at 7 hours round trip to get them all. We all have seen one dogs care costing this much not including traveling time and gas to the vets so this is defiantly a bargain no matter how you look at it...

I know, April sounds like a lot of time but in all honesty, it isn't. How many times have we had less than a week to scramble to help rescue many dogs? As you all know my heart is very close to all animals...Especailly disabled ones, guess cause I am disabled too...I have been going through the toughest test in my life the last few week's my heart is getting weaker and the DR has decided to put me on oxygen before I have a stroke..Please don't be sad for me....I will never give give up and keep smilling till THE CREATOR takes me home..I love all my friend's so much that I have met here on Myspace, that's why I wanted to explain why I haven't been online much..Each one of you are a part of me now, my heart, my soul, my prayer's...

SCOOTER FACING AMPUTATIONS OF BOTH REAR LEGS UPDATE: FEB. 6, 2007 Scooter went to the vet today and he now faces amputations of his rear legs. The left leg that is completely twisted and facing a backwards direction will be amputated for sure and the right leg is being evaluated at this point. It is doubtful that the right leg will be functional. This leg also will be amputated. THE AMPUTATIONS WOULD ELEMINATE THE RISK OF PRESSURE SORES ON THE REAR LEGS. THE REAR LEGS ARE NON - FUNCTIONAL AND CATCH ON THINGS LIKE BEDDING AND CARPET WHICH HAS A RISK OF ADDITIONAL INJURY. The amputations would leave enough of his rear legs so he could be fitted for a doggie wheel chair when he grows up. The key here is "when he grows up" Scooter is going to get that chance to live and grow into the little pup he should be. This is a far cry from the gas chamber he faced at a local dog pound where he was taken a few days ago by is previous owner. This baby of only a few weeks of age who is a BIG 1 pound 7 oz. also faces abdominal surgery for a necessary hernia repair. Scooter will be taken care of for the rest of his life. He will not have to fear cold weather or hunger. He will get his wheel chair and in time play with the other little dogs. His life was changed the day he went to the dog pound to be put to sleep forever when we found this precious little life and took him into rescue. Please make a donation to help pay for this little ones medical bills. Just when you think you have seen it all...This 1 pound Chihuahua baby came to me from the dog pound. He was taken to the pound for euthanasia. This innocent soul, a creature of God was born with a birth defect. Our guess is his brothers and sisters needed more nutrition from the mother dog as they got older and bigger so it was decided the crippled dog would go to the dog pound and make more room for the other healthy babies. Scooter has a most grotesque disfiguring birth defect that surely would make him a dog no one would purchase. He has no use of his back legs. His right leg is curled up towards his abdominal area in a fixed position and his left leg is completely facing the opposite direction that it should be. It is as if he has no bones in his hind legs. Yet the sprit shines in his little 6 week old eyes. In his young life of 6 weeks he has already taught himself to lift his hind quarters with his strength in the front of his body, his 2 front legs. I think he will eventually walk on his 2 front legs. He scoots all over the place because this is the only thing he knows. He is full of life and lives to eat soft puppy food. He wags his tail when you walk into the room. He wants to be held and loves kisses. The owner told the pound workers he needed surgery on his legs and they didn't have the money to spend on that. Scooter will never walk, his condition is forever and permanent. Scooter's most urgent need is to have a hernia repaired. Weighing one pound this will be a most delicate operation. We are asking for donations again. Perhaps we ask for donations more then the normal rescues but we take special needs cases and they require more then a spay and neuter. Scooter will get his wheel chair when he gets older and he will be just fine. We need to get his hernia operation and we depend on donations to save lives.
