Well lets see we left May 29th I think. Our first stop was in Missoula Montana, dont know if there is anything to do there because all we did was sleep at the Quality Inn and ate at the 4 Bs right next to it. If youre ever at the Quality Inn in Missoula make sure that the alarm clock in your room or room next door doesnt buzz as it kept my dad up late. They offer cereal and you can make waffles for breakfast at the hotel. Oh and if you eat at the 4 Bs dont order the steak, make sure to ask whats good. Well before we drove into Missoula we were on a good stretch of road on 90 and I saw a Red Dodge Viper pass us followed by I want to say it was Yellow Lamborghini but it may have been a Ferrari. I really couldnt tell you because I really only noticed the Viper while my dad only noticed the yellow car though he couldnt tell which it was either. I only got a brief glimpse of the yellow car. Oh one thing thats was good about the Quality Inn was that it had free Wi-Fi access and no pass code needed, dont know if all Quality Inns are like that but if your ever traveling about and need internet just get close to a hotel and you may be able to connect for free.
Our next stop was Billings Montana; we stopped at a Holiday Inn. It was fine no problems there I think we ate at the bar in the hotel food wasnt bad little pricey I think. Oh and this hotel had Wi-Fi access also but you had to get a code from the front desk dont really remember what my code was. Well once you get on the other side of the mountains everything pretty much looks the same. Little rolling hills and flat farm land no trees or anything. The Great Plains are just that plain. I swear I probably could have fallen asleep while driving on that road. You go up a hill and find more of the same on the other side. Well from Billings we went south east into Wyoming and we went to see the Devils Tower. I believe this piece of scenery was seen in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Well from there we went to Hill City, South Dakota to see Crazy Horse, its slowly coming along. If you go up to see it hide as many people as you can cause they charge by the person we only got charged for 2 because the rear windows were tinted so they didnt see me. I guess they have a laser show after 9ish we didnt really feel like driving back up there to see it we already lost an hour I think from the time zone change. Well after Crazy Horse we checked into the Holiday Inn Express which means theirs just a continental breakfast and rooms and a pool. We asked the person at the front desk for a place to eat and she suggested the Alpine Inn cause the have a $7.99 6oz filet mignon. Well they also have a $9.99 9oz filet also. I wouldnt bother asking for a menu because the serve just one thing for dinner, you get a wedge of iceberg lettuce with your choice of dressing ranch of bleu cheese I believe. Then you get your filet with a baked potato, and something else I dont remember. They do offer quite a few dessert choices half are homemade half are bought. Though you better ask what they still have because some things sell out quickly. Same thing with their beers. But its a nice place and Id recommend the Alpine Inn in Hill City, South Dakota if your ever there. Well from there it was off to see Rushmore it has changed quite a bit from when I was last their. Last time I was their, I guess our old dog tried to jump off a cliff cause of a game he used to play with my dad. My dad had to yank back on the leash quickly. Though there was never a cliff in the game when he played it in the past. Couldnt really find that cliff this time because of the changes. Well if you havent seen it since before they added the row of state flags, or the stone tile walkway it may be time to revisit Rushmore.
Now it was off to Mitchell South Dakota. We stopped for the night their in another Holiday Inn. It was fine until the TV crapped out but I just made a call down to the front desk and someone came up and fixed it. There was Wi-Fi access their and I think the login was guest and the password was guest. Then that morning we went to see the Corn Palace, I think its been around since like 1905. After leaving the Corn Palace we went to Wall, South Dakota. Its a town that grew around a store called Wall Drug a lot of different stuff there if youre going that way you might want to take a look around it. Saw some awesome looking knifes there, most of them were for display only like the scorpion, think that was my favorite one its awesome looking. They have a wide variety of things, theres also a huge animatronic T-Rex that roars and moves every 15 min I think.
Finally it was the last lag of the trip that I would be driving anyways and onto Minnesota. Now most of I-90 is not in the best of shape pretty much as soon as you leave Montana it kinda deteriorates from all the big rigs driving on it starts to get ruts, and its not the quietest road a lot of road noise. Now when you get into Minnesota the roads will make you feel like your driving on the turtles or the rumble strip, and the drivers are horrible. They will drive well under the speed limit then when you try to pass them will speed up. Thats just one of the things. Well June 5 I got to see my cousin at that I hadnt seen since I was like 8 and she was like 7 or something for her graduation party, she has defiantly changed. It wont really be hard for her class to remember their graduation date it was 06-06-06. Shes been into dance for a while and got to see one of her shows I guess it would be called. While I was their Uncle Kim took me out to the driving range and I got a chance to try hittin a golf ball. I guess I did alright for my first time didnt really get much range but I was able to get it to move in the right direction about half the time I guess. Got to meet some of my moms old high school friends. Well thats pretty much my whole trip. Took my first plane ride back home yesterday. I got kinda hot cause I didnt know that their was climate control above my head. Though I was glad that I had my IPod other wise it would have been a longer plane ride than it was. It was about a 3 hour flight. Well I hope this wasnt too long for those who decide to read this.
