--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On March 21st, 2009 Fire Pro Wrestling will present the 3rd annual Bane's PRIDE Tournament. This tournament was started in 2007 to honor the late Ward Doepping, a close friend of the Fire Pro Wrestling family and continues to be a staple of the Fire Pro schedule. To shake things up a little bit, the format has been modified slightly to create an ever greater sense of accomplishment for the men to that earn their way into the tournament. If you are unfamiliar with the PRIDE Tournament here is the basic rundown:

The tournament consists of 8 men and is a single-elimination tournament with the winner becoming the PRIDE title holder. The quarter and semi-final matchups are contested under regular professional wrestling rules, with the finals being contested under PRIDE title rules. What are the rules of the PRIDE division you ask?

1.) No rope-breaks
2.) No countouts
3.) No DQ's
4.) Contest can only end by pinfall, submission or K.O.

Now, the tournament usually consisted of 8 regular competitors of the Fire Pro roster but with high-profile of the tournament and the interest it was garnered from some of the most respected wrestlers from around the midwest, it has been decided that the 3rd annual PRIDE tournament will have 4 regular Fire Pro competitors and 4 "farmed-in" competitors. The entire 1st round will feature first time EVER matchups in Fire Pro history with each Fire Pro mainstay squaring-off with the invited competitor. The #1 spot in the tournament goes to the PRIDE title holder, which after successfully defeating the reigning PRIDE champion Hayden Kent at No Love Lost, ROACH earns the #1 spot in the 2009 Banes PRIDE tournament. At NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS, "Stonehands" Slater Wallace became the 2nd Fire Pro regular to earn his way into the tournament. Rounding out the Fire Pro side of things for the tournament are "Flawless" Dave Allen with a victory over P.T. Hustla and "The Product" Christopher Kent after his shocking win over OSYRIS.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The outsiders have been signed for the tournament and are:

-"Simply Spectacular" Dave Davidson

-Brandon Thomaselli

-Egotistico Fantastico

-Silas Young

These men are four of the best that the midwest has to offer and will compete in the 2009 Banes PRIDE tournament. We will have updates on all four outsiders in the PRIDE tournament to give the Fire Pro faithful a little taste of what they are in store for come March 21st.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, here is what the brackets for the tournament look like as-of right now:

      ROACH

                                 WINNER

  Dave Davidson
                                                       WINNER

Four of the best wrestlers that Fire Pro has to offer. Four of the top wrestlers in the midwest independent wrestling scene. Who will come out wearing the PRIDE championship?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

***ALSO SCHEDULED***

IMPACT TITLE DEFENSE

Tristin Hayze (c) vs. Gilbert Lewis

Fire Pro's resident nerd has been on the roll of his life. Holding victories over Christopher Kent, Prince Mustafa Ali and several other superstars, Gilbert Lewis looks to climb to the top of the Fire Pro mountain. Will the former tag champion have enough in him to win the richest prize in Fire Pro?

March 21st could be the night Tristin Hayze loses the IMPACT title, as he has showed several chinks in his armour. Hayze has not scored a singles pinfall victory in 2009 but the "Regulator" looks the rectify that on March 21st. Is it the beginning of the end for Hayze's title reign?

TAG TITLE REMATCH

The Uprising (Jeremy Hadley & Louis Rojas) (c) vs. Johnny Motley & Ritchie Rothchild

After a very exciting tag-title match at New Years Resolutions, The Uprising told Motley/Rothchild that if they wanted another crack at the tag titles, that they would have to win a mystery partner 6-man tag at No Love Lost. After scoring the upset win in the 6-man tag, Rothchild/Motley look to win their first ever championship in their short careers. Have the rookie duo learned enough in the previous two matches with the champs to score the win?

HARD TARGET TITLE DEFENSE

Kenny Courageous (c) vs. Jynx vs. Konvict vs. Kurt Rigsby

In what SHOULD be Jynx's first title defense since returning from a devestating knee injury, Lester Mitchell flexed his commisioner muscle by stripping Jynx of his Hard Target championship and returning it to former champion, Kenny Courageous. Jynx made a successful return at No Love Lost while wearing a mask and competing under the name Felino Negro. After seeing his chance to secure victory, Jynx removed the mask and hit Kenny Courageous with a devestating, jumping-face-crusher, scoring the 1-2-3 and the Hard Target title. Or so he thought. Lester Mitchell reversed the decision, due to Jynx not being truthful as-to his real identity and returned the Hard Target title to Kenny Courageous.

Now that it's well-known that Jynx is in-fact back in action in Fire Pro, he tries once again, to win back his title from Courageous. Lester Mitchell has secured the services of Konvict for his ever-growing stable of "constituants" and has promised that Konvict will do everything in his power to ensure that Courageous retains the Hard Target title. Kurt Rigsby finds himself smack-dab in the middle of the Courageous/Konvict/Jynx ordeal and could be the man to sneak in and score the win. With all the attention being on Jynx, Rigsby might find himself 10 lbs heavier after the match. Where will the Hard Target title go home to on March 21st?

HEAVYWEIGHT EXHIBITION

Tony Scarpone vs. "Roughneck" Jay Ryan

Two of the biggest and baddest men on the block go nose-to-nose March 21st. These two men are no strangers to one another and should deliver one of the hardest hitting matches of the night. The winner of the match would be catapulted up the Fire Pro rankings, so look for these two monsters to through everything they have at each other on March 21st!

No Love Lost

401 W. 82nd Pl. Merrillville, IN. 46410

Saturday Feb. 21st

Doors open @ 6:15

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The main-event for Fire Pro Wrestling's No Love Lost has been signed and it will have HUGE ramifications on the Fire Pro landscape.
"The Product" Christopher Kent w/M.Marvin Wentworth will go toe-to-toe with the 400 lbs. OSYRIS!!!
But that's not all!
If "The Product" wins the match, he gets the services of Jungle Jane for 60 days! BUT, if OSYRIS scores the duke, he gets 10 minutes in the ring with M. Marvin Wentworth! A VERY big stripulation to say the least...
BUT, EVEN THAT'S NOT ALL!!!
It has also been decided that the winner of this match will also secure a spot in the 3rd annual Bane's PRIDE Tournament on March 21st. Not only will the winner get to have their way with the others manager, but they also earn a spot in the biggest tournament in Fire Pro history.
Make sure you don't miss out on this, or any other exciting Fire Pro live event. You never know what you might miss!

**UPDATE***

HARD TARGET TITLE TO BE DEFENDED

(c)Kenny Courageous vs. Konvict vs. Rasheed Kobayashi

With an impressive victory over Kurt Rigsby during the pre-show at New Years Resolutions, Konvict finds himself in familiar territory once again. This is not the first time he has had a shot at the Hard Target title, having squared-off many times with Jynx for the strap. Will Feb. 21st being the Konvicts lucky night?

He narrowly escaped losing his job at New Years Resolutions due to Fire Pro downsizing, but after securing a pinfall victory over Virus, Rasheed Kobayashi earned his first Fire Pro title match. Will "Black Dragon" secure gold on his first attempt?

After surviving the triple-threat match at New Years Resolutions, suffering a painful knee injury and revealing that Lester Mitchell is officially his new manager, Kenny Courageous looks secure another big win at No Love Lost.  Will Kenny have enough steam left to continue his winning ways come Feb. 21st?

FINAL PRIDE TOURNAMENT QUALIFYING MATCH

"Flawless" Dave Allen w/Lester Mitchell vs. P.T. Hustla (Winner earns a spot in the 2009 Bane's PRIDE Tournament)

This match looks to be one for the ages. These two men faced-off at Time For Some Action, with Dave Allen stealing a victory from P.T. with the help of Lester Mitchell. At No Love Lost, P.T. has vowed to not let anyone get in his way of winning a spot in the tournament, "...especially that scumbag, Lester Mitchell!". Dave Allen has looked exceptionally good closing out 2008 but with Lester Mitchell giving him New Years Resolutions off to "...do a national tv spot...", will the "Flawless" one show signs of ring-rust?

BIG 6-MAN TAG!!!

After having, what was considered by many, to be the show-stealer at New Years Resolutions, Ritchie Rothchild and Johnny Motley requested another title shot at the champs, the Uprising. Jeremy Hadley and Louis Rojas balked at such a request, but agreed to let them try to earn another match, under the Uprisings agreed-upon match-type. So, at No Love Lost, it is going to be:

(c) Uprising (Jeremy Hadley and Louis Rojas) & PARTNER OF THEIR CHOOSING vs. Ritchie Rothchild, Johnny Motley & PARTNER OF THEIR CHOOSING

Who will be each teams respective 'go-to-guy'? Your guess is as good as mine!

"ROUGHNECK" JAY RYAN ON A MISSION

After pinning Tristin Hayze in the middle of the ring following a decapitating lariat, "Roughneck" Jay Ryan appeared to be the new Fire Pro IMPACT champion. But, with the decision being reversed after head official Jake Garcia came-to, Jay Ryan was not too happy. The Texas brawler delivered a powerful Concussion-Bomb to the defeated Tristin Hayze after the bell, and left the champion laying in the middle of the ring. Ryan looks to right this obvious wrong come Feb. 21st and has made it abundantly clear that No Love Lost will mark the last time Tristin Hayze ever goes home with the Impact title.

CARL MORRIS CLEARED TO COMPETE

After being labeled with Marc Houston's immoral 'Heart-Punch', Carl Morris was having severe chest pain and trouble catching his breath. After the event ended, Carl Morris was taken to a nearby facility by his close friend Gilbert Lewis. All the tests came back negative and Carl Morris has been given the OK to return to competition. When asked about Marc Houston, the "Moustache-Model" could only respond with, "I never thought he was that person. I've never been attacked like that in my whole career".

HAYDEN KENT TO MAKE FINAL PRIDE TITLE DEFENSE

With No Love Lost being the last show before the 3rd annual 2009 Bane's PRIDE Tournament, Feb. 21st will be Hayden Kents last match before entering the tournament with the #1 seed in the tournament. That-is, if he can sucessfully defend the title against his challenger. There have been many rumors floating around about who Hayden Kents final PRIDE defense will be against, but sources close to the Fire Pro booking commitee have stated they want to make sure that his last defense before the tournament is his biggest. After defeating some of the biggest and best in 2008 and 2009, who would be one of Kent's toughest opponents to date?

ALSO SCHEDULED TO APPEAR

ROACH

"Stonehands" Slater Wallace

Devon Fury

"Heartless" Marc Houston

Kurt Rigsby

And more!!!

MAIN EVENT
For the IMPACT title
(Champion) Tristin Hayze
vs.
(Challenger) "Roughneck" Jay Ryan

This is a match that is almost 3 years in the making. These two men used to comprise 1/2 of the Lincoln County Regulators, one of the most imposing stables in Fire Pro history. They stood shoulder-to-shoulder, fought together and watched each-others backs. With that in mind, after defeating Ritchie Rothchild in his first IMPACT title defense, Tristin Hayze made a point of bringing up there not-so-distant past when he confronted "Roughneck" after he captured the #1 contenders spot. After telling Jay Ryan that if he accepted his offer of laying down for him in the middle of the ring at New Years Resolutions, he would do him a favor and reform the Lincoln County Regulators once again and let Ryan be his go-to-guy. After contemplating and initially accepting Hayze's offer, Ryan showed exactly why Hayze does not want to square-off with him by laying him out with a decapitating lariat. The fans in attendance were left with the image of Hayze lying prone and Jay Ryan holding up the richest prize in all-of-the-land.
Will Jay Ryan realize his goal of becoming the top-dog in Fire Pro, or will Tristin Hayze find a way to hold-on to his precious IMPACT title?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PRIDE TITLE ON THE LINE
(Champion) Hayden Kent
vs.
(Challenger) "The Insurance Policy" Tony Scarpone
With the 3rd annual BANE'S PRIDE tournament looming around the corner, Hayden Kent looks to become the 2nd man to go coast-to-coast with the PRIDE title and secure the #1 spot in the tournament. He has a tough-task ahead of him with Scarpone looking to put a huge notch on his belt by knocking-off the red-hot champion and securing his first Fire Pro title. This one will not be for the weak of heart!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"THE PRODUCT" LOOKS FOR RETRIBUTION
"The Product" Christopher Kent w/M. Marvin Wentworth
vs.
Gilbert Lewis
After suffering, to quote Mr. Wentworth, "...a despicable loss to a disgusting NERD...", "The Product" looks to even-up the score with a victory over the former tag champion. While being in the midst of an ugly situation with Osyris and his lovely valet Jungle Jane, Kent has became obsessed with going into his HUGE main-event match with Osyris on February 21 on a winning streak. The stipulations of that match are that if Kent scores the victory, he gains the services of Jungle Jane for 60 days but if Osyris gets the duke, he gets M. Marvin Wentworth alone in the ring for 5 minutes. With the recent loss to Lewis, Kent feels the only way to truly prepare for Feb. 21 is to avenge the loss by not only beating, but humiliating Gilbert Lewis. Another singles victory for Lewis would not only increase his earnings but his chances at scoring a shot at singles gold in Fire Pro. Sources close to Gilbert have said that he aspires to earn a singles championship. The road to the gold runs through "The Product".
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE NEW HARD-TARGET CHAMPION WILL DEFEND HIS BELT
(Champion) Kenny Courageous
vs.
(Challenger) P.T. Hustla
After Jynx pinned Virus with his 450 splash at Time For Some Action and retained his Hard Target title, Kenny Courageous decided he had enough. After grabbing a ringside chair and brutalizing Johnny Motley and Virus with vicious chairshots to the skull, he decimated Jynx's knee with the steel weapon, dislocating his kneecap. He then proceeded to lock-on a grotesque leglock to force Jynx to submit and become the new Hard-Target champion. Jynx has not recovered from the attack and will not be able to compete at New Years Resolutions, so in his place steps a man fresh off an injury of his own. P.T. Hustla voiced his disdain for Lester Mitchell and his antics at Time For Some Action and gained the sympathy of the Fire Pro faithful. With what appears to be a fresh start and a new attitude, Hustla looks to start 2009 off in a big way by winning his first championship in the company. These two men have known each other for many years and are no strangers to one another, leading into what should be a very competitive contest.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE UPRISING HAVE ISSUED ANOTHER OPEN CHALLENGE
Ever since winning the Fire Pro tag-titles, Jeremy Hadley and Louis Rojas, collectively known as the Uprising, have been on quite the tear. They have systematically dismantelled each and every team that has been placed before them and have demanded to have some real competition in 2009. Who will step-up to try to silence the masters of the tag ranks?
