houhouhou!!

all I can say is that I am pretty tired of being tired. It seemed like a good plan to do 3 singles for 3 bands at the same time....it sure did....:). well 2 done and 1 to go and a brief question to myself: "Tuomas .....are you a man or a mouse"......MAN I SAY!!
Being a man in this situation means that after brief trip to helsinki early next morning (300km) and brief "cookie monster" recordings for BLACK SUN AEON single "3rd chapter" and then recordings at Kouvola of the guitars, bass, keyboards and my vocals for the same song and the finally more sleep than 5h/day....something inside me tells that I can do this! ! !

So now we have 2 singles ready for mastering

THE FINAL HARVEST - BLOODGOD

As usual at this point nothing sounds right in my ears and I just want to put my guitar genlty to the case, burn my drums,  let my piano do a benji jump without a rope and work in a factory for the rest of my life but after couple of days and some sleep I will be happy as fuck. (sorry for my bad language but that is just the man I am.....pure 100% bad ass to the bone......)

Heyy-y-y!
wasa pretty busy week and did not have the time to write anything. Current status at the studio:
All drums and rythm guitars on the tape and first official single "Silence" completely recorded. Right now I am sitting at studio Villvox and Arska is mixing the first single which is suppose to be mastered at next wednsday. Also been working with THE FINAL HARVEST and BLACK SUN AEON to get 3 singles out at the same date.

25.6. is a release date for "DIRTY BLACK SUMMER" mcd including singles from 5 bands and 3 of those are mine which means that I have a triple deadline to hold on and the migrain that kept me awake again last night tells that some stress might be involved :).

The skeletons of the 12 songs are now done and after coulpe of weeks we start to work with the flesh. Little pause in the diary doesn..t mean holiday. Next week I am going to start with THE FINAL HARVEST drum recordings and after we have all tracks done for TFH we are going to continue with BTD at the same time when TFH is being mixed in the different studio. Maximize the productivity :). Anyway the goal is to get BTD, TFH, BLACK SUN AEON and TEARGOD albums done before end of august and to achieve that some spiritual blood must be shed with some real sweat and tears :)

This diary will provide information of all the recordings going on during the spring/summer. Headlines will give a clue what you are about to read because I doubt that you are equally interested of all of my doings :)

About some totally different:
This is also my own blog so there might be some other stuff from time to time and this is on of those times. Haven..t been working as stage manager / backliner since last summer and was veeeryyy happyy to to work with Stam1na (big finnish band) some weeks ago and legendary Misfits last weekend at Teatria, Oulu. Cool guys and cool grew. No rock starts, just nice and easy guys and for a chance the backline was pretty small :). The summer is going to be niiiceee because Jalometalli and Qstock festivals have already booked me as stagemanager for the main stage and I get to work with bands like: Manic Streat Preachers, Satyricon, Mayhem, Overkill, Within Temptation, Amoprhis etc.

Hey There!

First guitar day behind. Most of the day was spend on travelling, gathering gears and setting things up. This week will be spend in beautifull (?!) city of Kouvola since we are using the studio of our FOH guy Manu. Nice to get out of Lahti and be able to concentrate without any familiar distractions. (sorry friends, band mates etc).

We had lots of options and ended up using Laboga Mr.Hector amp and Mesaboogie 4x12 cabinet. sweee-eet. sounds sooooooo gooood. We managed to get 2 songs recorded (my parts) and going to continue tomorrow morning and aiming to get 10 songs more done and get me out of my misery :).

Little sleep and lots of laughs has been the theme of today....hopefully more serious and professional attitude tomorrow....=).

Hell-o!

couple of busy busy days and didn..t had the time to log on. Now all the drums are recorded for 12 new btd songs and it seems that it will be the most varied album so far. from metal ballad to blast beats :). we had to make very unwanted change in the studio line up; Dani has been having some mild problems with his knee but serious enough to affect on his drum rehearsing and some time ago we had to cancel one gig because the knee and now he is going thru prpper threatments to get it fixed. Dani is able to play live but 6-8h days in the studio was not possible so I had to play the drums on the album again....I was so much hoping to play only the guitars but there was no time to get a session drummer. I do love to play drums but would be nice for a chance to spare myself on all extra work :). Luckily all went more than well and the mood the mood in "team napalm god" (me and juho) is exellent. Even cancellation of our spanish gigs and some migrain attacks and playing with description pain killers won..t take us down.

I don..t know did I remember to mention earlier but our solo guitarist Juho (also partner in crime in "team napalm god") is going to record the whole album. He did deadlight and dawn of solace debut also and is the right and only man for the job!

about "team napalm god":......you are no officially warned....the future will show the meaning of those words....

well nothing much to tell after the first day. We managed to use whole 8 hours to set up the drums, putting up new skins and going trhu different mic set ups for the drums. The quest for the holy drum sound was fullfilled and they sound GOOOD. set up for the recordings is:

Long time no see...been sooooo buuusyyy that there was no time to update this site. Alot of things happened and will be happening soon. A brief info here:
New endorsement deals with Yamaha drums, Sabian Symbals and Laboga amps. With current deals with Mayones guitars and balbex sticks I feel almost completely endorset :)......and a tattoo endorsement also....new ink comming veeryyy soon...

Before The Dawn: New album is in the making and first single and video will be out in June and studio diary online soon.

The Final Harvest: Grinding dark death metal with a rocking twist. My anger management projekt became insanely fast a real band and debut album, single and video will be out on summer! !

Teargod: Debut album almost written and will be recorded and mixed during summer

Black Sun Aeon: Single out in summer, video and Finnish tour in winter and debut album out in the beginning of 2009

those should keep me pretty busy in the near future but I have a melodic black metal style projekt and an accoustic projekt in mind and trying to find time to get something on tape soon.

I thought I should write here something after looong looong silence. Alot of things has happened. I opened my own garneding business and that has kept me very busy for the last 4 months. Weeks full of work and weekends full of gigs/work so really no time at all to spend online. new BTD album with 2 singles was released and stage manager duties took also sime time (Testament, Rotting Christ, Kreator etc.). I also put up a new record label for myself called ONE MAN ARMY which is actually the same company that does the gardening works also. As you might get from the name of the company.....in both lines of work I do all by myself :).

 I am sorry for not answering to any commenst and mails I have got during this time. Soon it will be a winter in Finland and all my time and energy is focused on music and all music related things. Alot of new stuff coming online soon from Teargod and 2 brand new projekts. I am planning to make new myspace site also when I get more time and I will be here more often and I would really like to keep in touch with all the fans and friends out there!!!

Little inhale/exhale time and leting the world make few circles around the sun. Feels a lot better than 2-3 weeks before. I am going to deticate next 2 months for rehearsing. I want to better in every field. Playing, writing music, stronger, better person etc. Next recordings are scheduled for march 17-18. when I am going to record 3-4 songs for my newest solo projekt Black Sun Inc. Death/Grind/Black/Trash metal compination.Violent and not that nice which is nice :). Also trying to finnish the recordings of Teargod debut album before spring and have already started to work with new songs for 2nd album of Dawn of Solace. I am hoping to get free web single online in summer. Not much to say at this point. Gonna go back to the grinder now....
