Currently I am in Paris, France shooting a low budget indie film entitled, "Life". We wrapped day three today, and the shoot has been going great. Today I posted a video in the Shades of Grey Section called "SG's Guide To Touring Your Film Abroad". This is part one of a series covering my experiences in Portugal, and London last month for "The Girlfriend Experience." I still have not got to the photos from the trip yet...I realized I got a lot more of video than I did with my still camera, but hey, that's never a bad thing! Right before I left LA, I did an exciting photo shoot for a fashion magazine, shot a video piece for the AVN Awards, and went to an art opening called "Come Together Right Now Over Me" in Santa Monica...I'll be interviewing one of the artists Michael O'brien in the very near future for a "Getting to Know" segment. Ohhhhhhh man, I also went to a PHENOMENAL Skinny Puppy show at The Nokia Theatre with Kimberly Kane and Ian...I have never seen them live...and let me tell you...I was simply floored, they put on one of the best performances I have EVER seen! Kimberly Kane and I proceeded to break toilets after the show, the "before" photo is on my twitter (twitpic) account! I also had the great pleasure of meeting Wes Borland and Danny Lohner, so some interesting music and art projects with them could be in the very near future *fingers crossed*. I am so fortunate to be here in Paris, and when we wrap this film I am shooting for another fashion magazine, and then Ian and I will spend the holidays here in Paris; this will be my first holiday in three years! I have two days to prepare for the annual AEE Convention in Vegas, and the AVN Awards when I return to LA...I'll post my signing schedule as soon as everything is confirmed, I look forward to meeting all of my wonderful fans this coming year!!! In other news of pure awesomeness I am included in the AskMen.com Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2010! If you'd like to vote for me, please do so by visiting their website: http://uk.askmen.com/specials/2010_top_99/vote.html you can find me in category #2: Actresses You can also vote for me as best female performer in the annual RogReviews Fan Faves at: http://www.rogreviews.com/09fanfaves.asp Thank you!! My life has been non-stop for, well 21 years, 2 months, and 4 days…but enough silly talk. I’ll continue…non-stop for 2 1/2 months. I haven’t had a real day off since my birthday in March, and not a lot of time to reflect-which bothers me. Personally, I think it’s imperative that we as human beings reflect in the now, challenge our current circumstances whether they are positive or negative, and put a magnifying glass on everything we do. Otherwise, we become complacent. We blame politicians, religion, celebrities, parents, friends, and lovers, for everything we don’t want to be responsible for. Peter Sellers said it, “we live in a society of mediocrity” people didn’t want to face the truth 40 years ago, and they sure as hell don’t now. None of that really has anything to do with my updates to all of you folks, I just felt like getting that off of my chest. And, I’m a bit caffeinated, and starving-the two don’t mix well together.

In early April, I started shooting content, which would (and has) become the beginnings of Grey Art. Grey Art is my brand new production company; I founded it with director, Oren Cohen. We will be producing an array of adult videos, most importantly, my directorial debut: The F@%K Junkie. I have worked long and hard to find a home to sow my seeds (no pun intended) in which I would be happy with, the decision came down to me having creative control over my products. The beginning will be a roller coaster, but in the end, I will be satisfied and happy knowing that I am able to be a business woman and porn star in the truest sense of both. While busy shooting for Grey Art, I unfortunately missed the XRCO awards, but I did win mainstream adult media favourite! Thanks XRCO, and I hope to make it out next year J

SashaGrey.com, (18+)  soon to be launched will be the official company website.

TheFuckJunkie.(18+) com will be a promotional site used for the movie, coming soon as well.

I also got to see one of my all time favourite bands, Throbbing Gristle at Coachella, and in Los Angeles. I guess this counts as two days off!!! There is really nothing I can say, except I am still in awe with their music, and each and every one of their independent personalities. Throbbing Gristle laid a lot of groundwork for “mainstream” transgressive art and [Industrial] music, much respect is owed to them from countless artists… that they will probably never receive.

In other exciting news, The Girlfriend Experience premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival April 28th! I was in NY for a few days busy with press junkets, and night two we did a q&a with Steven, and my co-star Chris. Of course didn’t get to see the city much. I did, however make a stop to my favourite place, Blue Ribbon with Riss, Ian, Ahmir (?love), Joe, and another girl who’s going to kill me for forgetting her name. Ian and I also got to see The Roots play, the last night we were in town-they always put on a great show. If you live in NY, they play every week, so I highly suggest you see them.

Right after New York, I headed to Boston and spoke at Brandeis College; the following morning I did radio, and print interviews as well (all on about four hours of sleep)! Here’s one particular interview I’d like to share:

The Phoenix

My three days home felt like a gasp for fresh air. I took a few good meetings, and before I knew it I was packing my bags for Exxxotica Miami. Thanks to all of the fans that made it, each year it gets better!

This week is keeping me busy with pre production for The F@%K Junkie, and yet more press junkets for The Girlfriend Experience in LA.

I’ll also be hosting the official The Girlfriend Experience release party at Lavo in Las Vegas, on Friday May 29th, so be sure to come out! More info on that soon…

And….if you haven’t seen this month’s issue of Rolling Stone, you must! There is a lengthy article on me, I’m extremely proud of making it into Rolling Stone! Not to mention, freaking Bob Dylan is on the cover, it doesn’t get any better than that.

Special thanks to photographer, Theo Wenner, and Vanessa G.

I’m also on the current cover of AVN, and there’s a Q&A style article paired with it. I’d like to thank everyone at AVN who helped make this happen!

You ask why I say Russian? Well he was showing us beautiful, snowy pictures of mother Russia, his family, and dogs-he’ll probably never read this in one million years, but here’s to you Felix!

Thank you to everyone who came out to my birthday this past weekend in Vegas, I saw a lot of my fans but didn’t get to say hi to each and everyone. I had a mellow day, lunch with Kristin (my friend and a great photographer) and KK; then we went up stairs to relax a bit before going out to dinner.

Kristin captured the day: our lunch, getting ready, and the ridiculously scrumptious dinner we had at Tao. It was perfect, a small intimate dinner with a few close friends; I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I tried to get our security to take shots of Patron with me, but he didn’t…hey I don’t blame him I wouldn’t want to be fired for drinking on the job!

Anyways…they have this rule at Tao that only one person can go in the vip restroom at a time but Kim and I snuck in together and the security got all paranoid so we decided to mess with him. I took out my oil blotters for my sweaty ass face and KK wanted one too, so I give it to her. She blotted her face and started going,”oooooh this is so good! Damn Sasha you have the best stuff ::sniff sniff::”

“Bam Bam Bam” he knocked on the door so loud, it was hilarious!

We stayed at the club until a bit passed two am, then Billy taught me how to play Roulette-hey I won $107! Now I really see how gambling is addictive….

We all headed up to the suite and talked until 6 am, but it felt like time flew right by. Good times!

Special Thanks to my manager Larissa for making this happen, and Deb Grimmel at Tao!

BlackBook Magazine Features Adult Film Sensation Sasha Grey in its Hollywood 2009 Edition.

Shooting for BlackBook was quite interesting; people on set are curious but there is still such a sense of the unknown that tends to float around the room when I am on a shoot like this. Black Book and its staff treated me with the utmost respect, so it was great going into an unstressful day.

For the past year, I’ve been doing my makeup as often as I can….and lately I haven’t let anyone touch my face. It’s not hard to get into the topic of the lack of quality makeup artists in adult; the few good ones are just that, few. Lucky for me I had a great hair and makeup team, and sometimes that just makes your day start off smoothly.

I would have liked to know that two of my male counterparts were gay porn stars; I would have perved out even more! I have such a fascination with the gay adult world, as we are so detached from each other. I actually find that a bit disappointing; at the end of the day we should all relate to the struggles of discrimination, obscenity, stereotypes, etc. Gay or straight, Luca Di Corso and Jeremy Bilding were great to work with; it was a great experience for me.

To celebrate this issue, Mischa Barton will be hosting a party this Thursday night at the Sunset Marquis and I will be Djing. Details below…;)

After the BlackBook party, I am heading to host a party for Joanna Angel’s Girls Girls Girls 2. Angel is asking all guests to wear their "most colorful and obnoxious '80s-looking outfit.” But I’m more of a Sister’s of Mercy fan, she and I had this discussion before we boned…hot huh?! Girls arguing about what’s better Glam Hair Metal, or a sexy man who never takes his sun glasses off ::deep breath:: and who you could probably never get sick of because he is such a sick genius. Ahhhh, I digress…
It should be fun, and we are also celebrating Peter Warren's birthday!

Thursday should be an interesting day, and a long one at that. I will be doing a photo shoot that I’m extremely excited about, and will divulge more when I can!

I had a fan send me a link to a site that copied a Daily Nexus article, he said to me, “an article claims you as a victim and forced into doing the stuff you do on film, I think it's all B.S.!”

I’m not one to read Internet gossip; I nurture my fans and my damned self. However when something is re printed and brings my fans to believe a certain stereotype can be applied to me, I feel obligated to give my opinion. If I didn’t I don’t think I would deserve to be here. In other cases, it’s simply not worth my time or energy. Regardless, I always appreciate when you guys bring things like this to my attention! Thank you!

It was a Friday night; my friend Skronk was in town and staying at JAG’s place. Both Skronk and my comrade Peter Warren sent me text messages alerting me that Godard’s 1966 film Made in U.S.A. was playing at The Nuart.

Me being the Godard fanatic that I am I was already aware of this, and I couldn’t pass the chance to see this JLG masterwork; that also happens to be the last film he and Anna Karina made together. Ian and I met up with the three of them, and got there five minutes before it started.

I was paranoid thinking we had missed the beginning and they told us not to rush as we still had a bit of time on clock with trailers just starting. I was shocked to see that there were probably only 20-25 people in the theatre, why do you ask? Well…I’ll tell you soon my friend.

For those who haven’t seen the film, I won’t ruin it but I will say it further went on to prove my love for all things made in China ahaahaahah I kid you! I kid you! Really, it is a showcase of Godard’s never ending genius, and aside from the fact that this film dealt with Communism in the mid 60’s the film still felt incredibly relevant; but when can Godard not achieve that sense of belonging to his audience? :)

After I watch a film with a group of people I, like most folks enjoy talking about the film we all watched, it’s just what ‘chya do!

So, as we walked into the lobby from the theatre (there was probably only 6 people in there total) an employee shouted at the top of his lungs, “All right everyone in the lobby needs to go outside right now!” Which was completely uncalled for seeing as we just patronized this business, and I myself do so quite often. Needless to say I was pissed and we all walked out side to witness trannies, drag queens (yes there is a difference) and young teens making the biggest fashion faux pas I have ever witnessed in a group that large. You guessed it they were all there to see Jawbreaker!!! (Don’t take this the wrong way I don’t discriminate, I just wish they were dressed like 60’s mod queens a la Edie and Twiggy for Godard’s film) ::Foghorn Leghorn Voice:: Now I say, now I say….what, what, what the fuck?!

Since when did this waste of celluloid become a cult film, let alone a film to celebrate and get dressed up over; and Godard only got a small amount of respect! I was quite let down that one of my favourite indie theatres in LA had become a hot spot for this piece of shit, and that I was getting kicked out of the lobby for it. We stayed outside next to the long line of people for only two minutes before a different employee again kicked us out from the vicinity. Way to go, way to go!
