From the French we use the word souvenir to describe a treasure or gift that is picked up as a memento or keepsake from a time spent in another country, state, space or area. In Japanese the gifts, keepsakes and edibles brought back from a trip away are known as omiyage. On a trip to New York, designer of the Souvenir brand Emi Nagaoka stumbled upon the most fascinating pieces that she felt truly symbolized New York. Instead of hiding them away in a box or cupboard she decided to share her New York omiyage with the world. The Souvenir label is an eclectic mish mash of NYC treasures saved in over sized resin pendants. The concept of the brand is to share pieces and symbols from another city, New York City, with global style lovers and souvenir collectors.
Each hand made accessory is a one of a kind collection of antique keys, buttons, vintage cloth, lace and other trinkets collected over a lifetime of adventures in New York. All hand made in Japan.

Melbourne-based fashion blogger, Fashion Hayley spent a year in Tokyo styling, taking photos and creating the blog Fashion Hayley Hits Japan. Now that she is back in Melbourne, Australia she spends much of her time taking photos for MelbourneStreetFashion.com and writing a daily fashion blog about her thoughts on everything fashion. It also happens that Hayley and her partner Henry are in search of a new dream home in Melbourne. To add some spice to their house hunting we thought we would collaborate with Hayley and put the call out for global style lovers to design Hayley's Dream House. When Edgar the Elephant, Wallace the Whale and Bradford the Bird made their grand entrance at the last Fragment event we knew that they were too much funky fun to let go. So with the slick guidance of Pancake Zoo caretaker Shawn Chen, we built a little home for them here at TOKYOMADE. Shawn and his crew of critters have come to settle in Tokyo after being on tour in Melbourne, Australia. Popular with the street style lovers down under, the Pancake Zoo pieces can be found in independent boutiques in Melbourne and now on TOKYOMADE. Each piece has been lovingly hand created by Shawn in his bedroom. Cast out of polyurethane with a metal finding attached to the back. Preferring to hang out on clothes, bags, and maybe even hats, they need to go to good homes. No feeding or watering required.

Inspired by The Universe, Shibuya based design space mememachine is whipping out mesmerizing fashion miracles for spiritually conscious style lovers. The colors and images, printed onto 6.2 oz cotton tees, fill eyes with delight, minds with thought and hearts with splendor. mememachine are the collage creating masters. They use a thermal transfer printing process.
We had so much fun with this photo shoot. Lots of giggles as Masao danced around in the shoot space inspired by the tunes pumping in the background and the funky scenes printed on the mememachine tees.
Thunder bolts from the heavens, black magic women, honey filled orchids and messages of peace are just a few of the hidden images and messages in the mememachine creations. mememachine also collaborated with Photographer Hal to create the greatly loved and gawked at Couples Tee.

As kawaii as their accessories and sweet as their brand name suggests, Japanese creators Honey Bunny are filling the lives of Tokyo kids with delectable pieces from a yummy utopian world of sweet fashion. Fairytale like creators Hansel and GR, as they like to be called, started whipping up batches of goodness about 2 years ago when they saw a shortage of sweet treats to wear and share. Since then the sweet accessory look has boomed in Japan and Honey Bunny has been here to bake the goodies and keep the kids sugar filled. Naturally Honey Bunny creators spend their days munching on cookies and sweets in cafes flipping through confectionery magazines for delicious inspiration. Honey Bunny is a brand for girls who love to dress up with kawaii, pop, fairy tale and sweetie styles.
