For those who didn't notice, Benji Kay has returned to what it was at its inception -- a solo project. That's right; it's just me now. You still love me, right? Don't answer that.

Hey everybody! Benji here, writing to let you know that we'll be playing at Dfest in Tulsa this year. For those not in the know, Dfest is Tulsa's version of SXSW -- it's a music conference and festival, and nearly 130 artists will perform. This year the All-American Rejects, Paramore, and a personal favorite of mine, Phantom Planet, are headlining (along with quite a few others). Tickets to the two-day event (July 25th and 26th) are only $30. Check out Dfest.com for more details. If you can't make it out to Tulsa (or even if you can), we've got a show for OKC folks at The Factory with up-and-coming artist The Material (featured on MTV2) on July 21st. Come rock with us!

We have very exciting news for those of you who’ve been waiting for a chance to download the tracks we have up on our MySpace page. You’re a Star, Another Life: A Short Story, Sweet and Sad, and Black and Breathless will all be available within the next couple of days! You can download them right from the MySpace. We are keeping the price lower than you might expect as a thank you to all of our supportive fans. After the middleman takes his cut, we’re even not making a living, let alone a killing, but it’s worth it to get the tracks to you at a reasonable price. Enjoy! Keep checking in with us. Hopefully very soon we will have several new tracks recorded and available to keep your ears happy! :)

Hi, everybody. Benji here, writing a quick message to let everyone know we’re alive and kicking.
You may have noticed that we’ve acquired many new friends recently, and we intend to keep it up. I want to say a sincere thank you to all of you who’ve left comments on our page. They mean a lot to us!
We recently had several small disasters. Of greatest concern: I’m trying to recover from a dual hard drive failure -- both my working drive and backup went out on me at about the same time -- and they took all of our music with them. It looks like there’s a good chance we’ll be able to get most of that data back, so here’s hoping...
Either way, I’ve been writing a bunch of new songs, and once we get back on track I’ll try to record some and post them up for you guys. In the meantime, check back here now and again and drop us a line.
Thanks to everyone for your continued support!
-Benji
