As I mentioned in the FAKE? blog last month, the OBLIVION DUST album has been delayed.
We tried for a long time to figure out a way to get everyone’s schedules to match where we’d all be able to work together, but for the time being, this doesn’t seem possible.
Rather than make a half assed album, we’ll get to work on the album when all members (including support members) can be in the studio at the same time and give it 100%.
The process hasn’t come to a complete halt though, as we are all writing OD material individually, so when the timing comes we should be able to just bang out the songs in the studio (I already have some ideas that would be killer with KAZ and Riki’s playing on it!!).
Sorry for the bad news, but nothing much we can do at the moment.

I’m currently writing the next FAKE? album that I’ve been dying to work on for the past few years.
I’ll be teaming up with Ray McVeigh, who if you are a long time OD follower, will know produced the first three OD albums.
Some of the songs are very OD sounding, so with Ray on board, the FAKE? album hopefully will be the next best thing for all of you who were looking forward to an OD product.
Check out the FAKE? blog for more on that, ‘cause we’ll be starting in the studio any minute now.

As for OBLIVION DUST, I’ll let you know as soon as there are some OD sound waves coming your way!

先月、 FAKE? のブログで書きましたが、予定してたOBLIVION DUSTのアルバムが延期になりました。
メンバー全員のスケジュール調整を結構長い事してたんだけど、今はアルバムを作る期間程みんなが同じ場所にいれる事は不可能という事で、無理して中途半端な作品を作るよりも、ちゃんとみんなのスケジュールがあうまでアルバムは延期という結論に。
ただすべてが止まった訳ではなく、各メンバー個々で曲作りは進めてるので、スケジュールさえあえば、アルバムは早いと思います。（僕の方ではもう既に何曲かKAZと力司が弾いたら、かなりヤバくなりそうなのが。。。）

今回のがっかりさせるお知らせ、本当に申し訳ない！

個人的には今、FAKE?の新しいアルバムの曲作り真っ最中です。
今回のFAKE?のアルバムはRay McVeighとチームをを組んで挑みます。
長年ODを知ってる人であれば、Rayの事は知ってると思うけど、ODの始めの三枚のアルバムをプロデュースしたおっちゃんです。
出来上がってきてる曲の中には数曲雰囲気がOD全開の曲もあるので、ODの父的存在のRayと一緒にまたやるのが凄く楽しみだ。
OD楽しみにしてた人達にとっては、FAKE?のアルバムがnext best thingになってくれればと思ってます。（というかK.O.狙っていく感じです！）
もうそろそろレコーディング始まるので、詳しくはFAKEのブログで。

OBLIVION DUSTがまた動き出しそうになったら、すぐに書き込んでみんなに報告します！

OBLIVION DUST STAFF

Much thanks to all who came to see us at the AKASAKA BLITZ on the 2nd and 3rd.
The view from the stage was really something. Bet your bodies are all sore!

Even though we were only able to do a handful of shows this year, it felt really good to be able to end 2008 by going completely crazy at the BLITZ with you all. (That's what I call going out with a bang!)
The shows also gave me a lot of hints for 2009, both personally and band-wise, so thanks again and let's do that again sometime soon!

P.S. Rumour has it that Santa's choosing which pictures to put up on myspace. So stay tuned and leave the cookies out! (he doesn't like milk, by the way.)

BLITZに2日と3日に来たみんなありがとう！
客席（席ねーけど。。。）はなかなか素敵な暴れっぷりでしたよ。

今年はあまり表に出ず、手に数えられるぐらいしかライブができなかったけど、思い出深いBLITZでみんなと一緒に暴れて、今年を締めくくれた事は単純に凄く嬉しかったよ。
個人的にも、バンド的にも来年の為の良いヒントがいっぱい得られた気がしました。
また一緒に暴れようね。

7 years and 8 months since we last played at the Akasaka BLITZ.
10 months since we announced a BLITZ show for May.
7 months since the show was cancelled.
To say we've been looking forward to playing tomorrow is an understatement.

Hi everyone.
Just stopping by to let you all know that OBLIVION DUST will be playing at the TASTE OF CHAOS JAPAN show on November 11th.
Talks for the show came about pretty suddenly, but we're excited about it nonetheless.
Some great bands on the bill as well.
This show will also be a chance to catch the band live before the Akasaka Blitz shows in December, so get tickets if you can. (if they haven't sold out yet…)

いきなりですが、11月11日にOBLIVION DUSTがTASTE OF CHAOS JAPANにゲスト出演する事になりました。
かなり急な展開だけど、このイベントの参加をメンバー全員楽しみにしてます。
他バンドもみんなかっこいい。
12月のBLITZ単独ライブの前にOBLIVION DUSTを見れる唯一の機会でもあるから、来れる人はぜひ。（チケット売り切れてなければの話だけど。。。）

OBLIVION DUST STAFF

I'm happy (and super relieved) to announce that OBLIVION DUST will be playing the Akasaka Blitz on the 2nd and 3rd of December.
Because we had to cancel our show in May, this will be our first show since the Hide memorial summit and we're gonna make damn sure everyone that comes will have their OBLIVION appetites satisfied. In other words: we're going to be kicking ass!
Look forward to seeing you at the show!

Until then we've got the new double-A single "GIRL IN MONO" and "BED OF ROSES" coming out on the 27th of this month.
We just got done with the video for "GIRL IN MONO" a couple of days ago and so we'll have the full version up on myspace this Friday to Sunday.

While you're busy with the single, we'll be writing material for a new album that we hope to have out sometime next year.
I'll keep you updated on how things turn out while we go.

OBLIVION DUSTのライブが決定しました！１２月２日と３日、赤坂BLITZで2days やります！やっと発表できて嬉しすぎる（泣）えー、かなりホッとしてます。
５月のライブは中止だったので、Hide memorial summitぶりのオブリライブとなります。なので来た人みんなが120%満足できるライブにするぜ！楽しみすぎる！（また泣）

今月の27日にはニューダブルA面シングル　"GIRL IN MONO"と"BED OF ROSES"をリリースします。
何日か前に "GIRL IN MONO"のP.V.が完成したので、今週の金、土、日の三日間はmyspaceでP.V.をフル尺でアップします。

シングルに浸ってもらってる間、メンバーは次アルバムの作曲に取りかかりたいと思います。今のところ来年前半発売予定でございます。
ここで進行状況報告するつもりなのでよろしく！
