CASH MONEY ICON BIRDMAN SET TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM
New Single "100 Million" Featuring Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Fat Joe, Heating Up Radio Airwaves
5*Stunna
In-Stores December 11th
New York, NY - Hailed in a recent
Miami Herald profile as 'head of one of the last-standing triple crown crews,'
Cash Money founder/mogul/award winning rapper
Birdman (aka
Baby) is about to add to his multi-platinum hit-making legacy once again with his much anticipated third solo album –
5*Stunna. The 22 song CD is due in stores on
December 11th.
The CD features the explosive new single, "
100 Million," featuring
Lil Wayne,
Young Jeezy, and
Rick Ross; along with the production of
Cool & Dre. The new video for the sizzling song premiered on
BET's Access Granted over Thanksgiving weekend to a rousing response, garnering more than 20,000 views via the internet's most popular video sharing destination,
YouTube, within its first 24 hours of availability. The trailer for the new clip has already become a viewing staple of taste-making hip-hop sites such as
xxlmag.com and
yoraps.com, and others. The song follows
Birdman's previous pre-release scorcher "
Pop Bottles," featuring
Lil Wayne, which quickly became one of the most played hits of urban radio, video, ringtone and digital domains. The video for "
100 Million" will be the
New Joint on
BET's signature show
106 & Park on the day of the album's release,
December 11th.
The new album features a host of superstar producers and collaborators joining
Birdman, including
Lil Wayne,
Rick Ross and
Cash Money newcomer
Brisco, and producers
Cool & Dre,
T-Mixx and
Steve Morales, among others. Songs lighting up the new disc - produced almost entirely in Miami's Hit Factory studios - include "
I Run This" featuring
Lil Wayne, "
I'm A Stunna," and "
Grind," featuring
Lil Wayne and
Brisco.
Most recently,
Birdman pulled down the fan-voted
Alltel Wireless People's Champ Award at the
2nd Annual BET Hip-Hop Awards, snagging the coveted 'people's prize' with
Cash Money signature star
Lil Wayne for their Collabo smash "
Stuntin' Like My Daddy." The scorching hit was the touchstone anthem from the duo's epic
2006 pairing, the platinum-plus
Like Father Like Son. "We've never fallen off the rock," he recently told the
Miami Herald interviewer, holding it down even after Hurricane Katrina rocked his hometown of New Orleans."We still got our New Orleans swag, but Miami is home now too," says
Birdman. "This city has definitely influenced the new album, but our fans know we go real hard wherever we coming from."
