Hi everyone! To all of you who came out to tonight's show (on the 5th – it's technically 3AM the next morning, but.. who's counting):

If you came out tonight and were under 21, we would like to extend to you our deepest apologies. We were told that it would be an 18 and over gig. We actually only found out about it being 21 and over when we were about to set up. So, if you came out to see us, especially if you had to come a fair distance, we are very very sorry. Please let us know if this happened to you, and we'll try our best to make it up to you.

If you made it out and were able to get in, thank you for all of your support!

Love always,
 ~ Mary

Current mood:  thankful
Category: Parties and Nightlife

Hi everyone! Thanks to everyone who came out to the Halloween gigs!

If you were out when we were playing Club Ravenous, you might have seen something strange during our cover of Oingo Boingo's "No One Lives Forever." That's because, yes.. Trevor smacked Scott in the eye with his headstock. Smacked him good! It's a fortuitous thing that Trevor's guitar has a reverse headstock, or else Scotts eye would probably have rolling around on the dance floor for awhile. At least it would have looked cool. And then Trevor would have slipped on it... I would have gotten distracted, fell, choked to death on my keyboard cable.. and then Claire would have eaten us all and gained our strenth........... so.. I guess it IS a good thing that he has a reverse headstock .....or is it!!??!??!?   o.O

Anyway, thanks for the awesome time!

God bless,
Mary Hamer

Car Accident Current mood: thankful Hi everyone! Well, I just wanted to bring everyone up to speed on recent events. First off: Trevor and I are relatively fine! Here’s what happened: On Sunday night we were driving back home on the freeway (in the Mustang). It was raining and I had already slowed down considerably because there were some wet spots in the road. All of a sudden, we either hit water and then hit something or the other way around, but the wheels jerked to the left. I tried getting control of the car, but it seemed that the more I tried to do that, the faster it started spinning out of control. We were in the right lane and we spun out a few times, traveling all the way across the freeway to slam against the left cement retaining wall about three times, and scraping the whole passenger side. We ended up in the left shoulder, facing oncoming traffic. Someone pulled over by us and called the CHP (we were too shaken to call). My door wouldn’t open but an inch. Luckily, no glass broke and neither of us were bleeding. Trevor checked to make sure our eyes weren’t dilated (concussion) and we prayed, thanking God that we were both still alive.. and with our fingers!! It’s been a very emotional and traumatic experience for both of us, but, again we are both relatively fine. We both have a lot of soreness. My neck has limited movement, the left half of my face is numb and my left eye and ear have been having some pains, but other than that, we are fine. Apparently the insurance guy said that, according to their systems, it would take approximately 132% the car's total value to repair it. So.. it's totaled. He said that he is filling out the full evaluation report and it will be ready tomorrow or Thursday. He is also sending some documents to me in the mail to fill out. They have an obligation to pay off the loan first, at which time if there is anything left over, they will pay us the difference. Trevor called a clinic here in the area and they said that it is walk-in only, so we'll be going right after work. Trevor's mom has been so awesome and is getting us car! Trevor's Dad is loaning us the $500 deductible for collision damage to the car, as the liability falls with us (no one else was involved). My parents are already loaning us one of their cars, as my truck has been dead for some time now. Thank you all so very very much for all of your support in this! We love all of you so much! I’ll keep you posted as to updates. God Bless, ~ Mary
