Hello fellow Patriots, This comes as a response to what we are seeing on youtube.com especially in regards to "airsoft training". What we've seen alot of lately is "spray and pray" and we think that this is a very dangerous trend showing up! Of course there may be many groups out there that are not "spraying and praying" and have not chosen to post videos of the events and that is fine, we are not directing this at those groups. Here is a list of the important things to consider when "airsoft training" and its by no means a complete list but we need to start somewhere! 1) "players" will only be allowed to carry as many plastic pellets as they are planning on carrying in real life, eg. 200rounds equals 200 pellets, keeps it realistic and not have bags of 1000's of pellets that they couldn't possibly carry in real life if it were real rounds. 2) "players" are only allowed to use semi auto mode since in real life we only have semi auto capability anyways unless we get a battlefield pickup. Another reason for this is that we cannot afford to "spray and pray" but must take aimed shots.
3) A person is not considered "out" unless they take a head shot. In otherwords if someone gets hit in the leg with a pellet they are not removed from the game. Instead they or someone else administers medical aid to them with bandaging etc. while someone cover fires etc. In real life someone doesn't just walk off the field because they've taken a shot but they may be pinned down etc. so instead they or someone else should try to render aid. Have one BOK/VOK/trauma kit for training and one to keep one clean!
4) "players" will do a mag change every 20 or 30 pellets depending on what type of gun they are runing. Its great training! If they don't have extra mags then just have them pull the mag out of the gun return to mag pouch and then back again.
The suggestions above will hopefully take airsoft from a game to being truely a training opportunity! We also welcome more realistic suggestions for the "airsoft training"!
Thanks for listening! CTM

 Uniform
We've found that barring the controversy over camo paterns that the Multicam patern is the best for central Texas and is also the patern of choice among our members! Most militia folk (at least most of those in organized groups) wear some manner of uniform. Generally they wear some manner of BDU (camouflage utilities) with the pattern determined by their AO (Area of Operations). This is not to say that you MUST use BDUs. Anything that you would wear to hunt in the field with would be perfect for militia use. If you are in an urban environment, street clothes are the best camo. The point is to blend in using durable clothing that can stand up to extended wear, and is comfortable. Consider Blackhawk’s warrior wear or 5.11 tactical pants for discreet operation in town in the woods multicam is the way to go. What’s Multicam? www.multicampattern.com The “official” uniform for training etc. will be multicam camouflage. (Of course if funds are tight and it’s not possible to obtain a multicam uniform then by all means just wear what you can get and don’t let that be a hindrance to showing up for training.) We are just looking for an image of professionalism for the unit.

Hello Patriots! Had some ideas on how to take our movement to the next level. But please just think about the following ideas before you start sending the negative "it won't work" or "they will infiltrate it", its time to start thinking outside the cartridge box! One of main problems that we see over and over is that "they" (the government or those working outside the government.) keep picking us off one by one! Take for example the browns, basically they got them when really no one else was around or insert any number of patriots that were taken down (arrested or killed) when no one else was around to help them and usually in the middle of the night! I have yet to hear of any instances of a large group of patriots meeting and having been harassed or worse. So what can we do about it? Not much has been said on the subject because its difficult to know exactly what to do. We have thought about it and have come up with one idea that may change the course of those situations in the future. The patriot community needs to have a phone bank set up that can alert others in the area that something is going down and there needs to be a mustering immediately. It would work like this, anyone who would like help or someone who would like to help a patriot in need would put themselves into the phone bank. Then if a "group" of individuals showed up at a patriot's house in the middle of the night or a patriot got pulled over for a traffic stop and is having their constitutional rights violated, all the patriot would do at that time is hit speed dial into the phone bank and the other patriots on the list in the phone bank would be notified in the area of conflict and be asked to come to the aid of the patriot in need! Kinda like a modern day minute man program! You know that sometimes the "threat" of force is enough to persuade many to stop doing wrong and a show of force to help a fellow patriot is aways needed in these times we live! Yes there is lots of details in the program that would need to be worked out such as having everyone vetted on the system to prevent false calls etc. There would need to be area of action limitation, in other words someone 1500 miles away wouldn't be called but instead someone that is 20 or 50 miles away. And yes lots of other issues to work out! We are trying to change the game, lets think outside the cartridge box! CTM

Hello, We've had lots of request for more info on the militia and training. Most people don't want to come to a training first for alot of reasons (most scared of meeting new people and in unfamiliar environment) which is understandable. Many have asked to meet a restuarant or meeting room before coming to a training event. There are hundreds just in the Austin area that are interested in getting together. With that in mind we propose that someone come up with a meeting place for us all the get together! Please submit your ideas and we'll go from there! Thanks ctm

Are you a Rambo? It seems like we have more Rambo's now than anything else. A Rambo is someone who is "ready" to fight but not ready to Join the Militia. A Rambo is someone that has their garage packed to the ceiling with ammo but isn't going to help their neighbor in time of need. A Rambo is someone that has all the cool gadgits for their $3000 rifle but doesn't understand that if you stand alone, you will die alone! A rambo thinks that when his house is surrounded by 60 to 100 men that he will take them all out just like he saw in the movies! This isn't the movies and there is no happy ending for those that think they are a rambo. Why do I bring this all up? We at the Central Texas Militia have been plagued by hundreds of request to join but when the time comes to train or meet only 5 to 10 regulars ever show up. Afterwards I get the excuses that either they had plans or they are already a "marksman" with their rifle and don't need to train.
Its time to deprogram yourself from the media telling you that the Militia is bad. Its time to turn off the sports channel that keeps you in a mild stuppor. Its time to Join the Militia and start doing something! With July 4th just passing by it reminds me that the Militia was responsible for our freedom. There was no Army, navy, marines or airforce at the time of the revolution, just ordinary men who choose to be the one to stand with their neighbor in time of need! The continental army was just made up of militia that chose to sign a contract to stay on for a certain time. Where is the dignity and respect for the Militia? We need to honor our founding fathers and Militia by keeping the tradition alive!

On a private rural farm, on an improvised "Appleseed" range - to show you how easy it is to set one up - there's plenty of camping available, and during hunting season, sometimes you'll come back with more than you left home with. Scout knows how to lay a shindig on. And this site may be destined to be The Official Texas Appleseed site, as the program spreads to other parts of the the state (sorry, much as I like this site, there's no way you can crowd 23 million Texans on it, so we are working on adding other Texas sites to handle the crowds. ) This Appleseed will feature long-range out to 400 yards - maybe to 500, and qualified participants will be able to fire the full-distance AQT at 100, 200, 300, and 400 yds. So bring your .22 rimfire for Saturday (and also Sunday morning), which is 25 m marksmanship training, and the centerfire for Sunday afternoon, if you are one of the lucky "full-distance" shooters.[

Militia meeting and Airsoft training coming May 3rd 2009 at 3pm!
We will be having a joint training exercise and meeting with the Central Texas Defense (CTD), Central Texas Militia (CTM) and the Black Brigade Militia. Everyone is welcome to attend as well as other militias. Due to the residential congestion of Austin and lack of willingness of others to host a live fire exercise in Austin TX, it has been decided to put together a training using airsoft as a viable option for training. This will be a training and not a game! ....
If you don’t have a airsoft gun or don’t wish to train with airsoft then still feel free to come to the meeting anyways and join. Airsoft guns can be bought as cheap as $14 for a pistol at Walmart. Airsoft rifles, handguns and extra mags will help greatly with the training that we have planned. Please bring the airsoft guns in cases, bags, or boxes until we start the training for the benefit of the neighbors! The training will be held on five acres of terrain that matches almost all areas of Texas. ....
DO NOT bring real firearms! DO NOT bring drugs. DO NOT bring alcohol. DO NOT bring anything illegal! Keep in mind that you are invited there as a guest and need to respect the resident as well as the neighbors!....
If you can please car-pool as parking will be limited! ....
The meeting will start at 3pm sharp on Sunday afternoon May 3rd 2009. We will meet at 8405 Old Bee Caves Rd. Austin Tx. We will meet in front of the leasing office. We will have the meeting first and then proceed to the training and force on force. ....
Please email us for any further questions. ....
