Finally I finished my Album with Erik Truffaz and Talvin Singh
Each time it's like a birth, this one is special, I'm very glad of the music and proud so little by little I'll put tracks online until the release next 22/06/2009

I'm working hard this days for the next album of DuOuD, pleasure to work again with mehdi, our complicity and friendship is so strong that it' always a pleasure, fun and creativity
There'll be good singers featuring and other friends we worked with on stage in the past
Also I'm working with Onor Bumbum, real young talent from turkey, we are trying to make an "electro pop songs" album which means lot's of electronic tools, songs about modern love and romance in the music
Hopefully we'll find soon a label in Turkey as this project started from there

I'm preparing also my project with Talvin Singh and Erik Truffaz to be recorded in Turkey next may and I'm quiet excited to play with these 2 guys, I think it will be a great time with lots of good atmospheres

I discovered a big talent recently, I was in Dubai invited by Talvin Singh for a concert with Niladri Kumar a cythar player so amazing, hopefully we'll do some new events together

Here are the last news, I think I'll more use this blog also to react to this difficult time for musicians
The record industry is really bad and we are the first to suffer, even if we did many thinghs in the past, we have the feeling to be treated like beginners...Offfff!

Hi Everybody
I'm glad to announce the release of SOS in France at the end of this month.Hopefully you'll discover these wonderfull musicians Orhan Osman(bouzouki) and Savas Zurnaci(clarinet) who are big viruosos.
That's been almost 3 years that we are working together and we did lots of concerts in Turkey, germany, France, UK...and we are always happy to go on.Be aware that we'll play in Paris 3 times, in Turkey and spain soon.I'll drop few live recordings also and videos too

PS: Trakya All stars and Burhan öcal featuring Smadj was released in September in France, don't hesitate to buy it, I love this album and it will give you lots of energy and make you dance wherever you are

You can go to Calabash music to listen to a live recording of different concerts of "take it and drive". I made these recordings during few years with each time a different team...for the people who loves this album, you will discover new exclusive versions of the tracks.It was lots of good energy, plenty of friends joined me after one rehearsal only to play live and react to my electronic live playing.After editing and mixing this is the result and I hope you'll enjoy it
This project is open and I would love to go on with new friends....

Listen To Take It And Drive Experiences

First I'm very curious of the reaction we'll have in Turkey after the new release of Trakya all stars 2 and hopefully like the 1st one let's make plenty of good concerts
I'll go on the road of Niger this time for a meeting, a musical share of musicians all around the desert
I have a new residence in a club in Istanbul called Dulcinea where I'll perform solo or with bands 6 times a month so I'll test many things with turkish and western musicians
I'll give worshops of electronic music and what kind of live electronic music? at the Jazz cafe of Istanbul everyweek from the second half of January until june.
I'm working on a new album which include hip hop singers and ragga singers, the material is ready and I purchase the singers now
And DuOuD, I hope that we'll go back on stage as a Duet as soon as possible for new experiences

Just a few words to say that I'm glad to anounce the release of Trakya all stars 2, the second album of this fabulous band.We released the 1st album 3,5 years ago and it was a succes in Turkey and was really encouraged by the international press.So we're plenty of hope for the second one which contains more vocals and more 9/8 rythms and few guest surprise...
I did a remix also on the electric gypsyland 2 released by crammed, 2 months ago and had participated(2 tracks produced) to the last Album of Malouma a mauritanian singer produced by my friend Philippe Teissier du Cros
here it is for this year after DuOuD and Abdulatif Yagoub and hopefully you will love the music
