Hello again lovelies,
I’m really looking forward to another sweet show at the Beehive because this time, we’ve got Yusaku playing keys. He is from Japan, plays all styles and he is so incredibly funktiffic. It’s fun to work with such awesome musicians, and since I really enjoy dancing and relating to people, (which is difficult to do when you’ve got a big piano in front of you) this time I’ve decided I’m going to actually front the band and just be a singer...whoa.
This badass rhythm section with its one-organism-antics is also comprised of THE NATES, as usual, who respectively are: Nate Edgar on bass, Nathan Sabanayagam on drums.
So, come out, have a martini and support if you can! I’m celebrating FREEDOM from my piano-lady-stuck-in-the-corner identity!! And hey, guess what? I see flowers starting to bloom outside.
YEAH.
Here’s the info:

Hey everyone!
It's been a long time, hope you are all swimming along in your lives with creative ecstatic abandon. I'm in the midst of "back in Boston" fervor again, enjoying myself immensely. Thursday night, after snagging a last minute ticket from a fan who had an extra one at the door, I got to see Stevie Wonder in concert from the third row. It was absolutely amazing (did I think it would be anything but??) At the show, I happened to find myself next to two lovely booking agents that had back stage passes and invited me to join them. Consequently I shook the man's hand and got a picture with him, which I will post in due time. The only thing I could think of to say when he greeted me was, "Hello Steve." Ah, well, I was overwhelmed by the chance to meet my number one hero (AND he was writing a song at the keyboard two feet away from me!!).
It was a night I will never forget as long as I live. Wow.

Hey everyone! I just got done with a strange month of playing 6 nights/week, 6 hours a night at the Hotel Storchen Bar in Zurich, Switzerland. It's been an interesting January with bartender Helma and the whole gang. Lots of cigars and heavy drinks. And then, one day, magically, at the end of the month, Paulo Coelho the famous author walked in, saw me play once, and invited me to Paris! I spent a week up there, climbed the Eiffel Tower and sat in cafe's and ate alot of really creamy amazing food. Paulo would like to make the opportunity to tour with me....we've been talking about collaborating on a performance art show with words and music and taking it on tour! I will keep you posted of this, because who knows, it may or may not pan out and probably is something that wouldn't happen right away, even if it did. But dammit I'm really bad at keeping secrets from all of you, so there ya go. That's what's been going on. He initially was gonna have Peter Gabriel do it, but according to Paulo the man can't or doesn't want to be a one person music show, and that's what I do. In other news, The Nates are coming to Switzerland to record! Nate Edgar and Nathan Sabanayagam will be joining me at Powerplay Studios in Maur. We're gonna finish this album if it's the last thing we do, haha! My next gig is in Duppendorf, Switzerland throughout the month of March. I'll be at LEVEL every day March except Sunday. Love, Sarah B

Yeah, well, I haven't been very good at blogging so far! I'm currently in Zurich, Switzerland, playing 5-6 nights/week at these two restaurants on the lake. It's amazingly beautiful here. There are so many gorgeous people it's a little scarey. And everybody speaks like 5 languages. Wow! I've been swimming in the lake (crystal clean water) every day and biking everywhere (main means of transportation here). In the evenings, I play/sing everything from the Beatles to Debussy to Alicia Keys. It's been a great summer, but I miss everybody in the states and definitely long for some TLC from my peeps from back home. Hope you are all getting along swimmingly...after this, on August 15th I'm in San Francisco thru Setp. 6th. I got a show on the 30th at Rock-It Room at 9pm. Come check me out if you're in the area!
