Had a dream about it last night. "Does that make me crazy?" It's been a year, moving on seems right But it holds tight.
A summer that we plan for the best Choked up, get busy In the end, it turns up like the rest Here comes Oktoberfest.
A sharp cut of air slices my process Change on time, expected Quit counting my losses No time to be cautious.

Had lunch with a squirrel today... he was hungry, had to eat and run... up a tree.
Experienced a most excellent week in Florida shooting 'Swimming to the Moon' with Greg and crew. He rallied up an army of the most dedicated filmmakers and actors in Florida... each member put forth an amazing effort for no pay. Good spirits and a sense of humor is the only way on set.
Saw Dave on the Fourth with Erin, Cubie, and Trappo... fireworks y'all... dig it!
Have a FAN-tastic weekend, everybody everywhere!

Good things come unnoticed, we're wrapped and comforted in the bad. Not used to stepping out, the consequences rush forward. A notion to swat them away, a platform to see beyond the gray. Get warm with your soul, accept yourself, and suss out the doubt. Extra baggage that holds your past... tossed in the abyss.
Going to Manchester this weekend (aka Bonnaroo) with my dearest (not all) comrades. Making our getaway in a minivan... meetings, photos, strangers turned to friends, music to fill my ears... a fresh serving of a soul salad.
I update: "Bookends" went well... proud of how it looks, moves, breathes, lives. Next one will be better, no doubt... "Swimming to the Moon" in Ocala, Florida will be my next mission. The town has it's own film commission to help us out, I'm being given a crew to help light and lens this short about two strangers who end up on a city roof. Interesting. Dolly gripping in July with Ray Ray and his movie "Dismal", about two dudes who get lost in the swamp... evil ensues, and so will the mosquitos.
Peace

Just got called up for "Evan Almighty" Richmond Grip Unit... taking off to Roanoke for SubCreations Productions short film "Bookends" on May 13th.

This came out of nowhere. Hope everyone's somewhere.
Portable amplitudes that scream our names to buy.
A product that doesn't rhyme with anything else.
A reason my father's blankets are my mother's as well.
A friend of Bill W wrote me this time.

GOING TO BUXTON!!! Hoping the swell comes along and brings some warm southern water with it... Mikey is as big as me (if not bigger) so maybe I can hop into his wetsuit if it gets balls-in-your-throat cold. Outer Banks in the off-season kicks ass!
Just wrapped up a long week of work. First part was at New Dominion, doing the Hauntings show for Discovery. I had a lot of fun, as they were on the dolly a lot... smooth.
Second part of the week I was camera operator/gaffer for a PBS Frontline documentary... we spent the weekend with a Mormon family, went to a Mormon service. Was blown away by the love I found in that family and their congregation. If anything, the Mormons inspired me to charish what I have now, my family and friends, my health, and the awesome weather.
See yas next week! Thanks for reading!
Peace

POSTED ON MY JERSEY FRIEND'S SITE... COMPARING CALI FOLK AND JERSEY FOLK...
im from california..
-I cuss a lot.
-I say "for sure" and "right on" and "hella" and I say it often.
-I know what real cheese & avocados taste like.
-I don't get snowdays off because theres only snow in Mammoth, Tahoe and Big Bear.
-Summers are really hot, and winters really cold. That's the way it is.
-I go to the Beach - not "down the shore" (who the fuck says that anyways?).
-I've been to "the city" (if your from California you don't say Frisco....you look stupid) and have eaten fresh clam chowder out of a sourdough bread bowl.
-The drinking age is 21 but everyone starts at 14 (legally 18 if you live close enough to the border).
-My governor can kick ur governors ass.
-I can go out at midnight and wear a t-shirt and shorts.
-I might get looked at funny by locals when I'm on vacation in their state, but when they find out I'm from California I turn into a greek GOD.
-I can get fresh and REAL Mexican food 24 hours a day (GOD bless LA COSTA)
-All the TV shows you "other" states watch get filmed here.
-We have In-N-Out (Arizona and Vegas are lucky we share that with them).
-I'm from California and I love it....

Current mood: discontent
Someone asked us a question the other day, "As the future leaders of America, what do you think of all that is going on now?" I don't know if it was the booze involved, but I wasn't ready to answer it. I'll never answer in a detailed, Patton-like way, that's not the way I think. Our soldiers are the bravest and strongest in the world. Many of whom are my age, even younger, and they fight for our country. I just hope we can bring them home soon and end this corrupted, oil hungry administration.
