Aww yeah, Himalayan Project's making progress on Broken World. Ray and Chee went back to Kooz's dungeon last month for a marathon session and laid down several new tracks. HP left the session confident that what was originally planned to be an EP will probably end up being a full length album. Snippets of two of the new tracks, "Go Back" and "Guerilla Wordsmiths" can be heard on the Himalayan Project myspace.com page for a limited time.
In other news, Chee Malabar was on WBAI radio's Nomadic Sounds show on January 27 shedding light on the "next flavor in South Asian" music. The entire show is available online for the next 14 days. Chee's BA accustic performance of "O'Bleak Brown" takes place about 1/3 of the way into the show if you want to skip ahead.
Also, a reminder for you iPod owners, The Middle Passage and Wince at the Sun are both available for digital download on itunes for your legal downloading pleasure. It's actually available on most major digital distribution sites, but itunes is the only one that gave us the snazzy graphic and link.
