Hi Guys,

We have just launched the new Roadhouse range of Cornford amps, still proudly made in England, the only difference in construction is PCB instead of hand wired, the range at the Los Angles launch is the Roadhouse 30 watt head and 1 x 12 Combo, and the Roadhouse 50 watt head and 2 x 12 combo, the good bit is the pricing, starting from £699 and topping out at £1199.

Full model details to follow, but they are all valve (would we have it any other way ;o) EL34's, and the tone is totally Cornford with switchable overdrive, but everyone is telling us it is a totally British Cornford rather than the hand wired amps we have been building for the last 9 years which people have always said is Cornford but mid Atlantic.

They will be hitting the shops early April, and there will be guitar press coverage starting the middle of Febuary, Guitarist Magazine voted it one of their top NAMM products of 2008.

Watch this space,

Take care

Paul

IMPORTANT: RE. SNOCAP

Anyone thinking of buying the track "Fives" from the SNOCAP link which recently sprung up on the main page? Then please read on, before you click on anything or part with any money...

Looks like we've been hacked. Don't be fooled by that "Buy tracks directly from this artist" wording; neither Guthrie nor anyone at Cornford Records has any idea who set up this SNOCAP link, so any profits from your purchase would presumably end up in the pocket of some opportunist, who has stolen the track (from a Liquid Note Records compilation called "The Alchemists", if you were wondering) and is selling it illegally.

We're looking into it, and hopefully we can make The Evil SNOCAP Link go away ASAP, but in the meantime, anyone who wants to hear "Fives" with a clear conscience is directed to the far superior version of the track found on Guthrie's "Erotic Cakes" album - which you could always purchase LEGALLY from cornfordrecords.com if you felt so inclined ;-)

Current mood:  angry
Current mood sad, last night the Cornford building was ram raided and around 6000 Erotic Cakes CD's were stolen along with guitars etc etc,

If anyone is offered the record from an "unusual" source, it would be great if you could let us know, The record is only available from Cornford Records direct, Abstract Logic, and Inside Out Records, those are currently the only official places to buy, apart from getting a copy from one of the band,

Sad but true as the song goes,

take care and peace,

Paul

P/S if anyone sees the loverly 69 Les Paul Custom that Guthrie used at the NEC shows it would great to know, as that went too.
