PLYMPTON APPEARANCES + SCREENING NEWS – MARCH/APRIL/MAY
In late March, Bill will travel to Spain for the Anima Basauri Festival,
which will be hosting a program with 4 Plympton animated features:
"The Tune", "Mondo Plympton", "I Married a Strange Person" and
"Mutant Aliens", along with 2 recent short films, "Guide Dog" and
"The Fan and the Flower".

at the IFC Center, 323 Sixth Ave. (at W. 3rd St.) in New York City.
See Plympton's classic hits, newest projects and sneak previews,
followed by a Q&A session. Bill will offer survival tips for independent
filmmakers, and give a live drawing demonstration. Bill will also

midnight screenings at the IFC Center, 323 Sixth Ave. in New York.
Bill will appear in person to introduce the shows. A gothic 50's
high-school comedy about a teenage love triangle that goes terribly
bad, HAIR HIGH is told in Plympton's signature off-the-wall animation,
voiced by an all-star cast, including Martha Plimpton, Sarah Silverman,
Beverly D'Angelo, and Dermot Mulroney. Come by for late-night
movie fun, and look for special surprise guests!
The following week, "Hair High" will be opening in Los Angeles,
at the Laemmle Sunset 5 Theatre, 8000 Sunset Blvd. in West
Hollywood. Scheduled to screen from April 13-19, for more
information contact the box office at 323-848-3500. This is
the L.A. premiere, so Bill will be at the evening screenings on
April 13-14. And since it's Hollywood, you never know which
cast members may make surprise appearances! Tell all your

Bill Plympton has a new short film, "Shut-Eye Hotel", which will be
premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival, April 25-May 6. The short
will be screening before the feature "The Last Jews of Libya". For

Also screening in select U.S. cities is Bill Plympton's acclaimed
feature "Hair High"
"Hair High" features an all-star cast including the voice talents
of Dermot Mulroney, Sarah Silverman, David Carradine,
Keith Carradine, Beverly D'Angelo, Martha Plimpton, Eric Gilliland,
Ed Begley Jr., Michael Showalter, Zak Orth, Justin Long, Craig Bierko,
Tom Noonan and animators Matt Groening and Don Hertzfeldt.
Produced, written and directed by Bill Plympton, the film is also
the first animated feature to be completely drawn (30,000
drawings) live on the internet via web-cam (the Plympton Ani-Cam).
The film had its world premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival
and enjoyed a successful run on the film festival circuit.

PLYMPTON PROJECTS
Bill is putting together a program of funny animated shorts
for the Platform Animation Festival, which is a new animation
festival taking place in Portland, Oregon, June 25-30, 2007.
This will be the first international film festival devoted to
animation taking place in the U.S. in quite some time, so this
is big news.
