We're thrilled to be playing this year's Hideout Block Party. We've had so many great memories there over the years....from the shows we played there in our very very early days before songs like "Her You and I", "When I Wake" or "On A String" even existed...to the late night dance parties we played with Life During Wartime...spending time at the Hideout while playing or watching our friends play has always been an amazing experience.

Which makes playing this year's Block Party even more exciting. Not to mention the bands we're playing with - The Cinematics, tourmates of ours from this past Spring and all around great guys, their new album is out now, be sure to check them out.....Scotland Yard Gospel Choir, we've known Elia and co. for what seems like forever now and they have an upcoming release coming out on Bloodshot which is very exciting....The 1900s, great friends of ours, they are all very attractive people and they make great music too, their upcoming album "Cold and Kind" will probably be one of your favorites of this year....and Bloc Party, who close out the night and will surely kick some serious ass.

Whew! And that's just Friday....Saturday is a handful of other amazing bands so obviously this is an event you don't want to miss or you will feel kind of stupid. So get your tickets before it sells out. See you there!

Hello,
We're back from England and now that my jet lag has pretty much worn off, I can rejoin the land of the living. Our time across the pond was ridiculously fun, tiring, amazing, and just about every other adjective you could think of. And the good news is this is just the first trip of many. Thanks to everyone who came to the shows, the amazing people at Kitchenware, and all the new friends we made. We can't wait to go back.

For this trip I actually had a real digitial camera (thanks dad!) as opposed to our shitty cell phone cameras, so now there are many many more pics to view. I uploaded them all onto our newly formed flickr page. Check it out!

Also, I took some videos and edited them into a little video documentary called "The Changes go to England". Have a look!

xoxo,
Rob

We just got back a few days ago from our short but amazing tour with The Cinematics out east...as usual, we have pics to prove it:

Dave tests out the melodica in the van. It works. Kinda.

Would you buy this doll for your child we found at a gas station in Kentucky? If so, you should be arrested for child abuse.

Fireworks: fuck yeah!

Playing dice for $$$ helps kill the time before shows.

Dale Jr. is a big inspiration for Dave.

This pimp was a big inspiration for Darren in New York.

Just another friendly photo shoot...

While in New York we shot our first video for When I Wake! Here are some pics from that long but amazing day:

Jonny gets the dolly treatment.

Cousin Jonathan, the director, our hero.

We were all very impressed with the skills of the film crew.

The video looks amazing and it's almost done - as soon as it is we'll post on our page. After New York we continued north towards Cananda and Vermont....

A friendly STRIP CLUB we checked out on the way to Montreal.

Nectar's in Burlington. "You're in trouble."

Darren and Scott from The Cinematics.

Darren and Adam.

That's all for now....thanks to everyone who came to the shows. Hope to see you again soon!

Spring tour journal continued...

Tour with the Spinto Band and Dios winded down and we found ourselves in Denton, Texas for a one-off show before SXSW. Outside the venue Dave and I decided to pose for a future album cover.

Our day set at Emo's for SXSW was so hot, they had to lock Darren up.

Our home in Austin during the festival - Davis's daddy's house.

Thundercloud Subs (or as Darren called it, Thundercats, Ho!) where we ate many a fine meal.

Late night shenanigans at the house. I'm guessing Dave has no recollection of this.

The boys of SSLYBY asked me to take a new press photo for them...

A kind message from Grey Tie.

Darren right before he murdered Joel from Dios!

There's a lot going on this picture. The colors. The boots. The legs. The boxers. It's all there.

On tour I like to stop and think about life every once in a while....

The Changes are a pet friendly band.

A stop in Philly is never complete without at least one cheesesteak from Jim's.

Our tour manager, Gay Grey.

Where Gay Grey was born.

More to come...
