The Agrarians will be performing as part of MT6 Records' MT6-Fest on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at The Hexagon (1825 North Charles Street / Baltimore, Maryland 21201).

Thee Knaves are pleased to announce that they have completed their sophomore album to be released -- most likely -- via Well-Dressed Records (www.welldressedrecords.com) during either the Late Fall of 2009 or the Early Winter of 2010.  The album is entitled THE KNAVES "AND THE SACRED GEOMETRY PLAYERS" and features 13 brand-new tunes from Anderson & Williamson Knave.  A 5-song EP will also be released at some pointe following the album's release (though We know not when nor via whom it may come).

"It is almost as safe to assume that an artist of any dignity is against his country, i.e., against the environment in which God hath placed him, as it is to assume that his country is against the artist.  The special quality which makes an artist of him might almost be defined, indeed, as an extraordinary capacity for irritation, a pathological sensitiveness to environmental pricks and stings.  He differs from the rest of us mainly because he reacts sharply and in an uncommon manner to phenomena which leave the rest of us unmoved, or, at most, merely annoy us vaguely.  He is, in brief, a more delicate fellow than we are, and hence less fitted to prosper and enjoy himself under the conditions of life which he and we must face alike.  Therefore, he takes to artistic endeavor, which is at once a criticism of life and an attempt to escape from life."

2) "Black Satin Jacket" -- from Nash Kato's Debuntante -- is the best post-Gaucho Steely Dan song We've ever heard (and therefore and consequently do ringingly endorse it).

3) Dress Rehearsal is Pseudo-Live Crunk.  Rhythm guitars, keyboard programming, and vocals were recorded live.  During the initial demonstrations of various musical situations, a live vocal or guitar overdub was permitted (and, in some cases, freely (re: generously) encouraged.
