Until September 21st 2009 Refugees United will receive 10% of all sales of acclaimed band múm’s new record Sing Along to Songs You Don’t Know through the social music marketplace gogoyoko.com.
We are very pleased with this unusual fundraising possibility, which
sheds light on our quest to further family-finding knowledge and
technology to some of the least fortunate among us: refugees. A new
possibility for a new non-profit.
Sing Along to Songs You Don’t Know, the fifth full-length
studio album by the Icelandic group múm, will be released exclusively
on gogoyoko.com, before the physical release via Morr Music in Europe
and Euphone in the US.
About múm
múm was formed in 1997 and was originally a duo of Gunnar Örn Tynes and
Örvar Þóreyjarson Smárason, but has in its 12 years of existence
expanded and contracted in an irregular pulse, like a jittery mammalian
heart. They have recorded and released five studio albums and an
endless catalog of smaller releases and side projects off the beaten
track. www.mum.is

directly from the artists. gogoyoko provides signed and unsigned
artists with the opportunity to access the worldwide music market –
without having to go through a middleman. www.gogoyoko.com

Today is an historic day for Refugees United. Today is the day where thousands of people join in to share their thoughts on refugees, Refugees United and the atrocities millions of people endure every day. Refugees United is a unique project seeking to reunite families that have been torn apart during their escape from conflict, tragedy and natural disasters. In order for families to be brought back together, it is imperative that we, as fellow human beings, unite behind the cause and act as catalysts for the life-changing information Refugees United may bring. Only with your help will we succeed, only with your participation will this family search-engine help those in need. Refugees United is an awareness campaign aimed at the most destitute people among us. It is the quest to shine a ray of light into the darkness surrounding so many, guiding them to the knowledge of www.refunite.org It takes the strength and will of all of us to help eradicate this problem. A problem of such devastating proportions, yet with such a simple root cause, that we may all spend 10 minutes to contribute to change. Here. Now. Cost free, except for the most valuable you may ever give: Your time and dedication. Act up. Speak up. Be the voice of the voiceless. It is a road which will be hard, long and take every inch of persistence, persuasion, optimism and hard work we can muster. It is our sincere hope you will join us in to end the torture of uncertainty so many must endure. The vehicle has been built, the solution has been created, but we need energy. Your words will fuel the fire needed to touch all corners of the world, to empower the powerless. Only together will we make a difference. United we stand. Act up. Speak up. Be the voice of the voiceless. Refugees United Copenhagen/New York/Sao Paulo, Nov. 10th, 2008 Bloggers Unite for RefugeesRefugees United

Dear All,
From a hectic Refugees United camp, a short report on the coming website and database!
We're in the midst of a beta test of the search module, while putting the finishing touches on the design of the website itself! It's turning out great and I'm pleased to tell you we'll shortly be unveiling a refugee family finder nothing short of state of the art! Great investments of all kinds has been poured into the application during the last many months, and we're more anxious than a 6-year-old the night before Christmas to bring our brainchild into the world. It should be less than 2 weeks until final kick-off!
14...13...12...11...10... Yes, it's finally coming, and besides unveiling the search engine itself, we'll be bringing you into the world of Refugees United and the formidable people and companies we have rallied behind us, to ensure our service reach the furthest corners of the world! You'll be pleased...
Be back soon..
The Refugees United Team!

Dear All, A little update from a very busy Refugees United camp. We're about to undergo a complete transformation of the database and website, bringing everything to new levels, possibilities etc. and all. Therefore, quiet has been our friend lately, as we gather our forces to unleash the Refunite storm upon the world. So many wonderful things are in store and I do hope you'll visit the Myspace site to sign up for our newsletter. A new cool little feature we've conjured up for the Myspace site is a badge of support you can download the code for and add anywhere on your Myspace, homepage, blog or what have you.. Honestly, this is one of the most powerful ways for us/you to spread the message and thereby help, so I'm hoping you'll feature us on your site, if only for a minute.. This is what it looks like:
All right Universal Rock'n'Rollers, I shall return with much more in-depth, down-stream, out where I'm well in over my head pretty soon.. Wishing you all the best, Christopher Refugees United Org.

he that speaks the least seems to know the most, while he that speaks the most masters the moment of no reflection or thought, while purporting to know the matters of man. but it must be in the quiet perception of moments passed and understood to perfection, that we find the path to possibilities. so i suppose my new year's resolution will be to speak less.
