So, I added the Happy Flickr application this morning--it still makes me laugh that MySpace is going to way of Facebook, and that endless, useless apps were totally the downfall of Facebook, but I digress. I added the app, because I like Flickr. Maybe this way I won't have to be so on top of keeping my modeling pics in MySpace as updated as Flickr.

So to set it up, all you have to do is enter your Flickr ID. That's it... no password, no confirmation via Flickr, nothing. And I realized, I could set this up to show *anyones* Flickr account. Since there's no sort of security measures to make sure you're only displaying *your own* photostream, anyone can be displaying mine too. That's... kinda weird. Seriously.

Another annoyance? I can't see any way to move where the darn app appears. Maybe it's because I've customized the CSS of my profile and that fucks up MySpaces dynamic site editing, as the app does have these little up and down arrows... they just don't do anything when I click them.

My last annoyance (and yes, I promise it's the last!) is that you can't actually customize the display at all. It automatically displays the most recent 36 photos uploaded; I can't tell it to show less? Not 12 or 24 or some other multiple of 3? I can't randomize it? Well that's kind of lame.

On the up side, I've realized how few photos I've uploaded since New Years. And knowing is half the hassle. ;)

Last Friday, late in the evening, I wandered into a junk yard full of old cars and spare parts. I was introduced to two wonderful models, Lady Porcelain and Brody Suicide, and we commenced to get dressed up in sometimes frilly-/sometimes trashy-underthings and run around in said junk yard. We even all got naked and climbed into one of the nastiest bathtubs you'd expect to see at a junk yard, but I don't have those photos yet. ;) But I do have these!
Instant fave, what I call the "Blue Peek" photo; or how about this great take on pinup photography, junkyard style? And Flickr friends, check my set here, which includes some images not publicly available! :D

The entire evening of photography was an absolute blast and I'd do it again in a heartbeat--okay, maybe without the bulky mechanic guys pretending to work on nearby cars and offering to escort me home. And I'd rather not have the mementos of sunburn and mosquito bites and bruises from climbing around on junk. But still! Now I can finally check "get naked in a junk yard" off my To-Do list! ;D

So, I've been playing around with the MySpace calendar--not nearly as good as Google's, but it serves its purpose. Since I do know that at least one of my MySpace friends is attending the show, I figured hey, might as well make an event out of it, rather than just a scheduled "performance" or whatever. ;)

Makal (my boyfriend) has this wonderful guitar, a vintage Peavey T-60. And he's such a wonderful guitar player that... wait, he never learned to play guitar, he plays cello. All the more reason to sell it! But I had to take nekkid pictures with it first. I mean, it's a freaking beautiful guitar!

And no, I can't play guitar for the life of me (I've got tiny girly hands). But that's what you get after a near-decade of dating various alternative musicians: you know how to ROCK AND ROLL. Oh and I rock it baby, don't you know it! ;D

For interested parties, here's the picture I'm not uploading to MySpace, due to their "no boobies" policy: Morning Wood - sample 3 on Flickr
