Being a die hard Led Zeppelin fan all My life, I eagerly awaited this show with great anticipation upon it's announcement over a month ago.
I have seen many Zep-Tributes over the years since I began going to Clubs
(illegally, I might add!) and while they were all great, I must admit with
the greatest respect that they could not hold a candle to Ozone Baby -even
on their worst day.
Playing to a full and over enthusiastic Crowd at the infamous Roc N' Docs
in lovely Port Credit, Ozone Baby had the Audience gorging on a Zeppelin
feast with their stellar musicianship as they churned out two sets of
classic rock brilliance.
Although the Band had to play on a very small stage that somewhat
restricted their full performance level (especially Lead Vocalist Phil
Naro's well known use of a microphone stand), Ozone Baby let the music do the talking instead and in the end they managed to earn the respect of all
those in attendance.
"Communication Breakdown", "Whole Lotta Love", "Kashmir" and "Stairway to Heaven" were the gems that really whetted my appetite on this night -not to mention that of several Cougars who were seen working the room in unision with the groove!
This was my first time seeing Ozone Baby since last December and I hope
that I don't have to wait as long to see them again. If you get the
opportunity to see these Lads, don't be a fool and pass on it. Believe Me,
You'll be sorry that You ever did.
