Hello everybody,
Cherry Red reissues London Weekend this week. It's a collection of my EPs and singles released from 1988-1993, plus a few bonus unreleased songs, all packaged with a booklet full of charming photos, memorabilia & highly entertaining Alistair Fitchett-penned sleeve notes. I'm very pleased with it all. Buy it direct from Cherry Red here:

http://www.cherryred.co.uk/cherryred/artists/anothersunnyday.htm

or Amazon here:

Or buy it direct from me at my forthcoming shows in Malmo on saturday 22nd, or London on saturday 29th.

Hi,

In an attempt to "promote" the forthcoming London Weekend reissue, I'm playing a few live dates in the coming weeks.

First is at the esteemed So Tough So Cute club night in Malmo on August 22nd, with a delightful new Swedish combo called Leaving Mornington Crescent. Venue is Retro. Time is 11-ish, I guess it's still free entry. It will be a fairly low-key set; short-ish too, as I'm supposed to be dj-ing there as well.

Then back to London for a date on August 29th at the Betsey Trotwood in Farringdon. This one is at our friend Jen's birthday party, but it's an open invitation to all. Free entry too, though there'll be a pass-the-hat. At least, there will if I get my way. I'll be playing a duet set with Mr Julian Henry of the beloved Hit Parade; we'll be alternating songs, and will also be playing a tribute to a recently deceased pop legend (providing we get our act together). Come early!
Finally, a show in Paris on September 17th. This one is at Le Java on Rue du Faubourg du Temple, together with The Chiltons and the wonderful Fugu. Should be a super evening, I think. Opens around 9pm, 5 Euros.

If anyone else fancies organising a show for me, you know where to find me.

Hi all,
Just thought you might like to know that Cherry Red are reissuing London Weekend (the compilation of all my Sarah 45s & EPs) in August. There'll be a few bonus recordings, including the Caff single (my interpretations of OMD & Bee Gees tunes), some demos and a cover of The Boy From St Ives by legendary Penzance combo The Rubbishmen. Alistair Fitchett (of Tangents et al) has come up with some lovely sleeve notes, and there are some charming photos & paraphernalia in the accompanying booklet. The provisional release date is August 17th, but it's already available to preorder on Rough Trade's site (and elsewhere, I dare say)

A few low-key gigs are being set up as I type; I will keep you across things....

Just posted a new song (gasp!). It's a cover of the Bruce Springsteen classic "I Wanna Marry You" off The River, my contribution to a forthcoming Springsteen tribute LP coming out on Where It's At Is Where You Are. My first choice was "Highway Patrolman" from Nebraska, Bruce's dark epic voyage into the world of the Portastudio, but it had already been claimed by Alan Vega.

Happy listening,

Harv.

A demo for my contribution for the Joe Raposo tribute LP has kindly just been uploaded to Joe's myspace page. Pop over to www.myspace.com/joeraposo and click on "Trying And Trying Again" to have a listen. And make sure you click on "J Jump" too, which puts my efforts to shame...

This compilation is gonna be a real treat.
