Les BOF! appeared in the UK news, page 19 of the the july issue of Rock & Folk, the famous french rock magazine:

"Les BOF!

Driven by Laurent Mombel, singer from Marseille expatriate in Scotland, this quintet from Edinburgh plays some French version of US garage nuggets and British beat but also cover some classics from Ronnie Bird and Dutronc. After an EP issued in 2007 an album should follow on CopaseDisques."

Les BOF! review Fri. 3 Nov.

Twas a step back in time for those in attendance at Henry's Cellar Bar for Les BOF!, a fresh and French sixties pop band based in Edinburgh. Les BOF!'s actual translation is "doesn't care" but this has no apparent reflection on the precision and fervour by which they treat their craft.

The savvy moves and suave singing of French-born Laurent Mombel had considerable responsibility for stirrin' up a commotion and newfound devotions.  Although Mombel modestly claimed of having no vocal experience whatsoever before the band formed this year, evidence of this was barren.  The confidence in his voice drowned out and scoffed at any suspicion of this and his charismatic stage presence was certainly a distraction to any slips certainly missed by his swooning audience. From Mombel, and his Scottish comrades, came a pure and polished retro sound that emanated through french versions of songs like Have Love, Will Travel and Tobacco Road and left onlookers shakin' their hips and feelin' tres groovy. Les BOF! certainly does care-as everyone else should too.
