Hi folks! This is a special message to our Cleveland-area friends, but you're welcome to read this even if you don't live nearby--who knows, you might be inspired to make a road trip this weekend! We certainly are!

That's right! After 10 years--seriously, TEN! we were shocked too--of absence from C-Town, we're on our way back this weekend for a whirlwind tour of appearances and performances! Details comin' up!

Saturday 11/14
Beachland Tavern
15711 Waterloo Road
Cleveland, OH 44110
$10
Appearing as part of International Pop Overthrow
This is a special show for us, not only because we're closing out the first IPO Cleveland, but also because we're sharing the bill alongside our old friends Paranoid Lovesick, who have not performed since the untimely passing of guitarist Rick McBrien in 2003. Their remaining members are reuniting for one night only to perform songs from their recently completed  final albums "Tuxedo Avenue Breakdown," and "Suburban Pop Allegro," as well as favorites from their earlier albums. So by all means, come out to see The Jellybricks, but if you consider yourself any kind of power pop fan, you absolutely cannot miss Paranoid Lovesick's final performance. More details can be found at http://www.myspace.com/paranoidlovesick

Sunday 11/15 (or if you prefer, late, late  Saturday night)
WBWC "Running Late"
1-2 AM
Immediately following our IPO performance, we'll bolt across town to WBWC for a live on-air interview and performance with host Todd Richards. Topics of discussion are sure to include our most recent album, our emotional ties to Cleveland, and possibly Larry's ill-fated college career. Tune to 88.3 FM to listen in!

Sunday 11/15
2-3:30 PM
Lava Room Recording Studios at the Agora Theatre
5000 Euclid Ave.
Cleveland, OH 44103
Sunday afternoon we'll be playing a special acoustic show in this historic room where The Beatles gave their first WHK Cleveland press conference in 1964. All are welcome to attend this live performance recording. Also, this is a GAS MONEY DONATION SHOW, so if you can, please buy our CDs and shirts, or slip us a few bucks with a greasy handshake. Getting out to Cleveland ain't cheap and we'd hate to be stranded without fuel in some deity-forsaken place like Youngstown on our way home. (Just kidding, Y-town! We love ya!)

Sunday, Nov. 15th, 2009
"Inner Sanctum"
WKRK 92.3 FM
And we'll close out our whirlwind weekend in Cleveland with an in-studio interview and performance on the "Inner Sanctum" show with hosts Pat the Producer and Jim Benson from 10-11pm. Tune in!

So that's it, Cleve-people. The stars have finally aligned themselves, and we're headed your way. Thanks to everyone who's been emailing us over the years asking when we're making the trip. The time is now! Hope to see you multiple times this weekend!

Your buds,
Larry, Garrick, Bryce, and Thom

Good tidings of fall to y'all!

Football, apple pie, cold air, trapper keepers, leaves changing, popcorn,
gloves, hats, peanut butter, scarves, avalanches, flip flops,
parachutes...all of these things can only mean one thing and one thing
only. Hey Fall is here.

We've got a way for you to chase those
"I've-just-lost-summer-to-someone-better-looking-than-me" blues
away...Pumpkins. This paragraph was almost only one sentence long.

Please join us for a day of amazing food, pumpkins, music, pumpkins and
fallness at the Pennsboro Pumpkin Fest at Adams-Ricci Park in handsome
Enola, PA! Pumpkins.

SATURDAY, OCT. 10TH, 2009 - ENOLA, PA
PENNSBORO PUMPKIN FEST
100 East Penn Drive
Enola, PA 17025
Our Set Begins At 1PM! (sandwiched between a karate demonstration and a
magician! Really!)
http://www.pennsboropumpkinfest.com/
ALL AGES!

We hope to see you all at what will most likely be our final outdoor show
for the 2009 concert season. But Pumpkinfest is totally worth it for ya,
so you really can't lose. To be honest, it's worth it for the food alone.
Great food with Jellybricks sprinkled on top? It's a lock. Dig in.

We'll also be selling copies of our latest release, "Goodnight To
Everyone" which we proudly found out has recently gone zinc in Botswana!
And drummer Tom will be signing copies of his new book chronicling his
time as a competitive drummer, touring the country, and playing for days
on end in percussion death matches where the losers often limped away with
battered and bruised fingers and egos. Yes, pick up your copy of Tom
Kristich's "Beat Off: The Tom Kristich Story" today!

Peace and pumpkins, peace and pumpkins,

If you've been around since the Jellybricks' early days . . . you may remember our good pals from Cleveland, OH - Paranoid Lovesick.

These guys were part of introducing the 'bricks to the indie pop universe, and we have missed them being a part of our touring world ever since their onward march ended just a few years back.  Meanwhile, they recorded TWO complete albums of material which have thusfar never been released, though the songs still ring in our collective memories from great live shows all over the U.S.

What follows is a paste of an email we just received from PL's Bill Stone - indicating that they have finally completed work on the balance of their career's musical efforts, and the music they recorded in their hey-day will finally see the light of day.

The 'bricks were always fans of PL, so we look forward to these new releases ourselves!

Here's the email from Bill:

Paranoid Lovesick IS finished mixing our long lost last record, Tuxedo Ave. Breakdown (started sometime around 2001 and stopped when Rick McBrien passed away unexpectedly in 2003).  We've got a track from it on David Bash's International Pop Overthrow 09 compilation.   It's a little Kurt ditty, Seeds and Stems.  You can hear it at the IPO myspace page below.

We'll have a proper website up shortly in the meantime, visit our myspace page.  We will be releasing both of our previously unreleased full lengths, Tuxedo Ave. Breakdown and Suburban Pop Allegro, as well as a remixed and remastered Molly (Big Star, Universe Boat).  The Molly disc will also contain bonus tracks, stuff we did for the Badfinger and Who tributes, and some other odds and ends.

Enjoy, Bill

Do you really want to go to our show with Switchfoot (www.switchfoot.com) this Sunday, but you're a cheapskate and don't want to shell out the $25 for a ticket? Well, you're in luck (maybe)! Keep an eye on our twitter page this Friday, June 19th. At some point during the day we'll tweet about the show. The first two people to reply to our tweet get one free ticket a piece, to be picked up at the American Music Theater on the 21st. So if you're not already following us on twitter, do it now! (twitter.com/thejellybricks)

For yet another chance to avoid paying money to see us, listen to The River 97.3 all this week. They'll also be giving away tickets to the show on the air and through their twitter page (twitter.com/theriver973)

And of course, if you're rolling in the dough, or you just feel like shelling out some cash that you'll never see again, you can purchase tickets directly from The American Music Theater here:

Hope to see you there!

A lotta folks in our semi-native Pennsylvania have asked why they do not hear us on WXPN out of Philadelphia . . . a well-respected and cherished non-commercial station which has actually spun our music in the past ("Can't Be Wrong" from Power This was played on WXPN a handful of times) - and since we keep hearing WXPN personalities talking about how much music from Central PA they play everyday during their fund-drive - I thought I'd just volunteer the answer that . . . we have no idea!

Please feel free to request our latest single "Ruin Us" via their website . . . which we're happy to say is being played and charting on non-commercial radio in places all over the U.S. - and thank you for asking!

Here's how to get into WXPN's request inbox: http://xpn.org/requests

You know those times when you think, "Man, I wish someone would teach computer software training tips in the form of a rock ballad?" Well, your wish has finally come true! Go here:

to witness The Jellybricks' second collaboration with Photoshop guru and best-selling author Deke McClelland on a tune called, "The Droplet Song," in which Deke shows you how to automate repetitive Photoshop actions.

Hey everyone!

We Jellybricks would like to send out a HUGE "Thank you!" to our friends
and fans who have helped us push our new video for 'Ruin Us' into the
national spotlight. Your support has been incredible and we feel very
lucky to have so many amazing people around us. We can't tell you how cool
it is to read your comments, watch your reactions, see the high ratings
(4.5 stars baby!) and just feel all squirmy and warm inside from
everyone's love. The support has helped to land our computer generated
faces onto national news sources in just 3 weeks from the day the video
came out.

Here's a link to one of those news sources (and for those who haven't seen
the video yet, you can check it out by clicking the link below!):
http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2009/02/19/rock-band-2-and-smooth-editing-make-jellybricks-ruin-us-first-clever-viral-video-of-09/

As if all of this attention wasn't enough, on Wednesday morning we woke up
to ourselves plastered all over the front page of the Harrisburg Patriot
News. It's pretty cool to read ANYTHING positive on the front page of the
paper these days, let alone a positive story about...um...us! We are very
grateful and humbled. You can read up on that here:
http://www.pennlive.com/news/patriotnews/index.ssf?/base/news/1235536839281920.xml&coll=1

Please feel free to pass this video along to everyone you've ever met
during your time on planet Earth. Even people you haven't seen in years. I
ran into that person the other day and they told me they'd love to hear
from you. Bother everyone you know with it and Bryce will become your
personal house/apartment butler for a whole week! Offer not valid in
Canada. Sorry Canada!

While we've got ya, here's some info about our next show:
Friday, March 6th - Harrisburg, PA - Tara Station
25 S. 4th St.
Harrisburg, PA
We'll be playing a very special acoustic show for this one! We haven't
done this in a while so we're looking forward to it. Come on out to
Harrisburg and check out a cool little place that's easy to get to but
away from the insanity of 2nd Street Harrisburg! We'd love to see you.

Stay tuned for more gigantic news as it arrives on our collective desks.
And thanks once more for listening, reading, watching and talking about it
all. We couldn't have done it without you!

XOXOXOXOX,
The Jellybricks

Current mood:  stoked

Hello and good day sunshine to you all,

Look, usually we send you emails that are all funny, cutesy, clever, look at me I'm a Jellybrick, kind of stuff. You know the deal here.
Today we're cutting the cheese. Or at least through it. Here's the deal: through the magic of the video game 'Rock Band' and because of fine people like yourself virally emailing our little homemade video around like the one where the monkey drinks its own pee, our ugly animated mugs are on RollingStone.com. Here's the link:
http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2009/02/19/rock-band-2-and-smooth-editing-make-jellybricks-ruin-us-first-clever-viral-video-of-09/

We know it's a long link. But Bryce likes his links long, if ya know what we mean. But if you like your links tiny, we got you covered there too:
http://www....com/bzhmqe

We'd also like to take the opportunity to plug shows because hey, isn't that what rock bands do?
Rock rockity rock rocka locka talk:

February 21
Cedars
23 N. Hazel St.
Youngstown, Ohio 44503
http://www.myspace.com/cedarslounge
We'll be returning to our home away from home (unless you're name is Larry Kennedy, in which case you're returning home) to play a magical show along with our pals Pete Drivere & The Pretty Demons. We'll also be joined by our brand new pals The Robbie Jay Band. Tell your friends about the magical night.

March 6th - Tara Station, Harrisburg, PA
25 S. 4th St.
Harrisburg, PA
Our first ever appearance at Tara Station in downtown Harrisburg, and it’s a full-length night’s show! We'll be playing for 18 hours! It's right across from the Amtrak station in Harrisburg so it's a wonderful opportunity for our fans to commit a serious crime, then hop onto a train and make your way out of town, stone cold great train robbery style.

So in conclusion, we're playing in Ohio and PA, you will commit crime, watch Jellybrick, and leave town. And we've landed our dumb selves in Rolling Stone (dotcom). We're also really happy to have someone as cool as you read this far into one of Tom's dumb ramblings.

We love you for supporting us. And thanks for still listening to someone with nothing to say.
