I've been featured on CollectorsQuest as part of their Record week showcase!

It's a short interview and not too scandalous

Since mid-'06, "The Far-Gone Accumulator" has been showcasing music fans of good taste the best in rock-a-billy, dubstep, surf, doom metal, and nearly every genre in-between, new and old!

91.3fm CJTR, already known for it's unique programs needed an addition to it's roster of shows. The spectre of overplayed hits from other stations left the listening public hungry for variety. A program with a format loose enough to stay current but still rooted in real Rock 'n' Roll!

Michel LeGrisbi (host) has been giving listeners their fix of blues, 60's garage, surf and what he considers "the real classic rock". "Oldies stations tend to just play the same one or two hits songs by an artist, it really leaves young people no idea how crazy the music was & kids think it was all corn before the Beatles showed up".

Not content with being stuck in the past, LeGrisbi also features new challenging music from around the globe. "There are tons of retro shows, a lot of them I really like....but for me I don't want to promote that mindset that "everything's been done" or be stuck in nostalgia, this show moves ahead".

Post-rock, alternative, electronic, ambient, pop, hip-hop/turntablism, outsider music all have a home. Ultra-heavy genres like stoner/doom and extreme metal also get regular play. "People keep listening because there are styles they like but it's mixed up from show to show it won't get predictable...they'll be like "I didn't expect that dub track, what was it?" or "I used to really despise that doom stuff 'till you played it" whenever people get out of a listening rut, I'm happy".

"Far-Gone Accumulator" currently airs tuesday evenings at 12 midnight to 3am wednesday morning CST.
