Hello friends!
I have just booked an around-the-world ticket for this summer. I'll be taking a trip around the world (!!) and I'm SO excited. This is not work, it's just for play (although I'd be glad to give a masterclass or a lesson here or there). Because of that, I'd like to reach out to you, my friends, and see if you know people in these countries/cities who might like to show show me around, grab a drink, or even host me for a night or two. I'll be going to:
Auckland, New Zealand.
Sydney, Australia
Delhi, India
Kathmandu, Nepal
Lhasa, TIbet (hopefully)
Thailand (cities undecided)
Laos (cities undecided)
Cambodia (cities undecided)
Vietnam (cities undecided)
Beijing, China
Ulan Battar, Mongolia (hopefully)
Helsinki, FInland
Rome, Italy (and maybe Naples and Florence and/or the Amalfi coast)
Madrid, Spain
Marrakech, Morocco
I'd love to get in touch with people in the places I'll be visiting. Please let me know if you know people! Also, if you've been to any of these places and can make some suggestions to me of places to visit and places to stay, I'd love to hear about it!
Thanks so much!
Warmly,
sara leib

Here's the game:
I wrote two truthful statements about me/my history and one lie.
Then you reply post:
a) which one you think is the lie
and
b) your own two truths and a lie
and we play back and forth like that. Fun, huh?

Point is, I wanted to let you readers and music fans know about my food blog! Here's a link:

Hey friends and fans,
It's been a while since I've written. This summer really couldn't be more beautiful. I'm taking the month relatively off, travelling, enjoying myself, resting before the big upcoming year. Already been whitewater rafting in New Mexico (my purple knee will prove it), art gallery shopping in Albequerque, and river hiking in Sedona. Today will see me squirming aboard a plane trip to NYC.
"This shit is great, but what's up with her *music*?", you might be thinking. Well, as you may well have noticed I've been busy, but I haven't brought my band out in a while. That should all change this fall, don't worry. My dear teacher Dominique and friend Jed Wilson are coming to play Catalina's at the end of the month, and Jed and I should be doing some recording, which of course I'm ecstatic about, since Jed's musical touch moves me to tears. So stay tuned for that.
There are two restaurants in NYC that I'm excited about...will review once I'm there. There are also two wines I've discovered this summer that are so fantastic you should go buy them right now. They're relatively widely available (at wine shops but not grocery stores). They are:
Jordan 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley
and
Kim Crawford 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
Until next time, blog me what ya think!

Turn on your TVs, people! If you're watching the NBA finals, you'll see 12 interstitial commercials (30 second clips during the comercials, so watch or it i you're TIVO-ing, if you care), entitled "The Finals, In Harmony" where I sing in a choir (much like the one on the Oscars), and we make fun noises along with the clips of basketball heroes form years past.
Yes, it's on *right* now! Enjoy!
