What's it called? 
"Every Bubble in the Deep Blue Sea Got Swallowed in the Belly of a Shipwrecked Sailor" ... or just "Every Bubble in the Deep Blue Sea", for short.

Who worked on it?
The record was recorded and produced at Second Story Sound Studios in West Chester, PA by Mike Bardzik and features Brad Almond (guitars, vocals, bells, whistles), Steve Barlow (drums, percussion, bg vocals), Ryan Funderburg (bass, bg vocals), Michael Reaves (keys, bg vocals, bass), Rich Scott (guitars, bg vocals, percussion), featuring appearances by Kyle Swartzwelder (banjo, mandolin), Rick Christopher (percussion), and The Sinners (congregation).

When can we get it?
An official CD Release Party is scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd at Burlap and Bean in Newtown Square, PA.  You'll be able to buy the CD directly from us soonafter.  It will eventually be available on CDBaby.com and iTunes.  We'll keep you up to speed.

What should we expect?
If you liked The Small Wonder EP, expect the same whimsical acoustic-based blend of catchy folk rock and gospel, but kicked up a notch.  If you didn't like The Small Wonder EP, well, there's eight new songs to listen to that sound quite a bit more grounded and driven.  Expect more of the electric guitar and piano this time around, along with some ultra folky strings to balance it out.  And there are literally bells and whistles in there too.

Wow! Well after 30 live concerts, Clive will be taking a break from gigs to focus our energy on our upcoming studio recording. So although we're flattered whenever we get asked to play somewhere, we wont be booking again until probably around mid-winter. Clive is a pretty busy group of guys who all lead interesting lives apart from the band, so we'd like to take time away from running around the greater Philadelphia area, in order to get some new studio music into your hands/ipods. We're going to be working with Second Story Sound Studio in West Chester, PA, and we're totally excited to hear what comes out. They've recorded for some awesome local acts like Hoots & Hellmouth and The Bridge Band, among others.

Its been an honor to share shows with some truly amazing talent... and to all of you who had a hand in setting up these performances, thanks SO much (that means you, Tara, Seth and Kyle)! Some artists we've had the chance to share the stage with that you should definitely check out are:

I was delighted, surprised, inspired, fascinated and astounded by the music of the above artists, and i'm confident you will be as well if you give them a listen. We're really blessed to be surrounded by such gifted musicians!

We've yet to make a final decision on how many songs we'll be including on the next record, but you can expect anywhere between 7-10 songs, and we'll be sure to post them for your listening pleasure as soon as possible. So keep checking back for updates. Hope to see you in the Winter!

Clive fans at the February 17th Coffee Club show in Media, PA got more than their $5 worth... one, in particular got much much more.  In the middle of the set, our bassist, Ryan Funderburg, took the opportunity to sing a song to his girlfriend, Meg... but midway through, after claiming he forgot his capo, reached into his guitar case and pulled out a ring.  Now that takes guts... a proposal in front of a packed-out coffee shop!  So she did say yes, and we couldn't have had a more relaxed performance from that point on.  Afterall, no one's gonna remember the actual performance.  February 17th, 2007 will go in the records as "that time the bassist proposed".

Drummer Steve and wife Rhiannon welcomed Maxwell Oliver Barlow into the world today.  He appears to have a powerful set of lungs on him.  So if you're at an upcoming Clive show, give Steve some slack, he probably hasn't slept in a while.

So word on the street is that Clive was on Home-town Heroes this past Sunday. Well we are most certainly flattered and would like to thank our fans both near and far. I'm not sure how it works - but if some of you felt so inclined - perhaps you could call WSTW and request that they play us more??? I know that would rock MY face off - I'm sure Brad Rich and Steve would feel the same. Just a 'lil update - we've finished recording and are now (hopefully) in the final stages of mixing/ mastering. The tentative plan is that by our Oct. 22nd show - we'll be able to sell some high quality cd's. Till then ... take care andvisit us often - Ryan<><
