Getting settled in to Chicago has been a wonderful experience, and has helped us bring a new level of authenticity to our once self-coined motto -

"Prizzy Prizzy Please: just sitting somewhere."

We realized this was truly who we were, once upon a time, when we parked the van outside of the Charlie Daniels Museum in Nashville TN and literally 'just sat there' for 3 hours.  And by God that was only one instance in a haystack of others from our road-doggin days, which triple-unemployment and a bass player who lives 4 hours away has helped us revisit.




Yes, we haven't been as busy as usual -- but that doesn't mean we're gonna let all of you forget that we are trying to do something here:

Hey team!  Just wanna express how STOKED we are to be heading out of town with our bestest besties TOTALLY MICHAEL and ANDREW!  We'll be loading up the MANATEE again (can you believe that thing?) and taking our travelling chief-out chamber through the pristine wilderness of DETROIT MICHIGAN en route to the NORTH BY NORTHEAST festival in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, North America, Earth!

We're especially excited to be playing at not one, not two, but THREE MUTHAFUCKIN BARBECUE DAY SHOWS on this tour!  I guess for some reason when promoters hear our music, they think of Kingsford and shish-kabobs and Bud Light and slip and slides.  Our goal for this trip is to un-veganize Michael while he runs and slides then hits the ramp and takes a dive.

Anywayz, if y'all make it out to our shows we promise a SLAMMIN time and mebbe even some AMERICAN STYLE HIGH FIVES for all you Canadian bastards (for those unfamiliar with American style, that's when you slap hands up high while jumping like its Soldier Field in 1985 and The Fridge just stuffed one in the zone for 6 on a sweet misdirection play).

Hey friends! We rolling down the back hump of our Western Sizzlin tour, and it seems like a good moment for these flashbacks:

NASHVILLE TN: Raiding Harris-Teeter and cleaning out their free sample trays until we were all pretty much full.

LITTLE ROCK AR: An entire corridor at the Lazer Puzzy dedicated to gay gang bang cartoons. Floor to ceiling, one after another. Our favorite was the cowboy strung up by his balls while getting throat fucked by an outlaw. Yeesh.

TUCSON AZ: Five of us in a walk-in closet style hotel room that had only one twin bed.

COSTA MESA CA: Watching the singer of the most pathetic band in LA refuse to start playing, while on stage, until he could pee. He was screaming into the microphone for whoever was in the bathroom to "get the fuck out." Just then, the door swung open to reveal Ted, still sitting on the shitter, saying "I'll be done when I'm done!"

LOS ANGELES CA: Talking scientology and watching David Lynch's softcore-style earlier work with Daniel, the homeless security officer who was "hired" by the Vermont House. That guy was so full of disjointed wisdom. And karate threats.

SAN FRANCISCO CA: Getting free Amoeba music gift certificates just for riding in a Scion and pretending not to be annoyed by the uber-hip Scion promo team.

PORTLAND OR: Meeting our future sound man, Julius "Diamond". He was squatting in the garage behind Dekum Manor, and could play a mean slap bass.

We are like a God damn jingle factory here.  In our recent trip to Russian Recording we recorded two flawless jingles for super reputable establishments that will do nothing but yield them mounds and mounds of business.  Unfortunately they will never see the fruits of our labor.  Game Preserve Bill thought that our jingle for his gaming store was "creepy and alienating."  As a self declared jingle expert I respectfully disagree with his misguided opinion. 

While Flash Taco, the world famous Chicago taco stand, has not officially rebuffed our overtures to represent their ass with a sweet chorizo jam, I am expecting the worst.  If it doesn't happen, I will feel forever slighted, and cry...but a single tear...  Such pain though will be off-set by pure Shit-Joy  when we release both jingles in February 2009 on a split 7" with the Sass Dragons on Let's Pretend Recs!   

In a much anticipated pseudo acid flashback of the "MTV's the Grind Presents the Smoke Fuckin Bongs, Tasty Waves, Babe-o-Rama, Cumchaw, Ski Skoolin, Weaponz of Ass Destruction, Tour '94 Tour 2008" that we did back in March with the SASS DRAGONS...
we, Prizzy Prizzy Please, have for some reason decided to once again pack 7 dudes in the Mannatee (which is now pushin 300,000 miles) and drive around a lot in hopes of selling some of the new 7 inches we just got. And probably smoke some fuckin bongs too.

Starting next weekend we're going to be touring with our dearest Bloomington compadres PUSH-PULL, in a midwestern hype campaign entitled:

PPPPP EP TOUR '94
in support of our brand new joint release. We decided to do the whole brevity thing this time around.

In case yer wondering, the PPPPP EP is a split 7" record featuring 2 new unreleased jammz from Push-Pull (PP) and us (PPP). The record is coming out on Joyful Noise Recordings.
