Current mood:  sick
Category: Music

Thanks to everyone that come and saw us in ....Melbourne....! We had an awesome night and it was cool to hang with our friends from the Vaudevillains and AKF and to meet the Manic Pistoleros. The gig went off but that was only a small part of the night.

I had been sick for 10 days before the show and had only just started feeling better. Half way through our set I started black out. I had to take it very easy to get through. I struggled to drink 4 beers during the night. Reckless was also a bit sick but we did pretty well and it was awesome to see a pit and dancing.

When we got off the stage, the night really started! Luke got wasted and decided that at around 2am he was going to the Pony. He was with some friends so we didn’t worry about him, even though he couldn’t walk straight. Because I was still feeling ordinary I went to bed. The next morning there was no Luke at the hotel. I checked my phone and saw a text message from him at 3:30am saying a Psychobilly band was playing a free show. Before I could start to worry too much I get a call from Luke saying that he woke up in a strange hotel. I thought nothing of this until Luke got back and said that he woke up in a nice hotel room with just his stuff there. He had no key either?! There was no evidence of how he got there or who paid for the room. It was miles from where he had remembered partying. Can anyone tell us how Luke got there?? I asked him if he wanted to see a Doctor to make sure he had not been interfered with but he said no.

Captain Reckless on the other hand got in to trouble with the law. ....Adrian.... from the Vaudevillains and Reckless went out to get some food at 4am. Reckless also wanted to show ....Adrian.... the mighty Ford V8 we came up in. They went cruising down the main drag of the city when the cops pulled them over and defected the car and suspended Reckless’ license. Reckless was hit with $800 worth of fines and his license suspended. At least he got a cool yellow defective vehicle sticker for the trouble.

We have hit the studio for a new CD!

We have previousley been recording in my studio but have discovered a nice little place in the countryside that is starting up with a legend of an owner/engineer. After spending a large chunk of the weekend there getting out feet wet we are please to say that by August we should have a new CD!
As we have a fair amount of time on the road between Charlie Greaser and Reckless and I doing the Captain Reckless and the Lost Souls shows it will take a little while. New Charlie Greaser songs will start popping up shortly.

Check out Captain Reckless and the Lost Souls!

Its official, Captain Reckless has joined the band to play upright bass. Since announcing that Zombie Ghost Train are no more he has time to join us on the road and in the studio. He will also be doing his 'Captain Reckless and the Lost Souls' project. I am also excited to say that I will be playing bass in his band. This way we are each others new bass player! Strange huh!
A heap of new songs are being recorded, no release date for the new CD will be announced for a short while. We are booking gigs in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and even looking at playing in Perth. If you are interested in booking us, we'd be happy to hear from you.
Cheers, Charlie.

New EP "Burn the World".

It's been a long time coming but we finally will have the new EP out. It contains a lot of songs that have been around for a while but never released. The first 3 songs were recorded at Sun Studio in Memphis, USA. The track "Cali Baby" was re recorded in my recording studio and another 2 tracks were put on there that were recorded at Living Rythem studio a fair few years back. We wanted to get these songs out there so we can move on with the new record. This will only be available at gigs until early December. There is no release date for the new record but it will probably be out before April 2009.

Curly is still in France but we have Dave Bean from the Casino Rumblers filling in for a while. Stay tuned!!!

Thanks to Jason we now have some video from last Friday night. It was a sick gig for Canberra and we had a heap of fun. It was good to play with the Throwaway Kids (the Gong), Black Market (QLD) and the Pints (QLD), Yoko Oh No and the other band that escapes me... I was worried that people were going to do the Canberra thing and just stand and watch but thanks to Chris, Craig, Amanda and Johnno everyone went sick. Thanks to all that came.

Get up and go - Make you pay - 21

Now I'm sober I regret opening my mouth before this song, San Jose (missing the end).

Stand back up.
