Thanks to everyone that come and saw us in ....Melbourne....! We had an awesome night and it was cool to hang with our friends from the Vaudevillains and AKF and to meet the Manic Pistoleros. The gig went off but that was only a small part of the night.
I had been sick for 10 days before the show and had only just started feeling better. Half way through our set I started black out. I had to take it very easy to get through. I struggled to drink 4 beers during the night. Reckless was also a bit sick but we did pretty well and it was awesome to see a pit and dancing.
When we got off the stage, the night really started! Luke got wasted and decided that at around 2am he was going to the Pony. He was with some friends so we didn’t worry about him, even though he couldn’t walk straight. Because I was still feeling ordinary I went to bed. The next morning there was no Luke at the hotel. I checked my phone and saw a text message from him at 3:30am saying a Psychobilly band was playing a free show. Before I could start to worry too much I get a call from Luke saying that he woke up in a strange hotel. I thought nothing of this until Luke got back and said that he woke up in a nice hotel room with just his stuff there. He had no key either?! There was no evidence of how he got there or who paid for the room. It was miles from where he had remembered partying. Can anyone tell us how Luke got there?? I asked him if he wanted to see a Doctor to make sure he had not been interfered with but he said no.
Captain Reckless on the other hand got in to trouble with the law. ....Adrian.... from the Vaudevillains and Reckless went out to get some food at 4am. Reckless also wanted to show ....Adrian.... the mighty Ford V8 we came up in. They went cruising down the main drag of the city when the cops pulled them over and defected the car and suspended Reckless’ license. Reckless was hit with $800 worth of fines and his license suspended. At least he got a cool yellow defective vehicle sticker for the trouble.
All in the name of Rock n Roll!
