I think i better at least write why i HAVENT written in awhile. I was going to wait till blog 200, but it didnt happen that way.
I'm no longer going to be writing blogs on myspace. All my writing will be done on livejournal mainly or nothing will be written at all. This could just be a phase in my life and i will start writing back on here soon, but i dont know. I'm going to be slowly taking down all my blogs since i would like to archive them on my harddrive and with so many that can take awhile.
I WILL STILL GIVE UPDATES ON COSPLAY AND WEDDING STUFF VIA THIS BLOG, BUT THEY WILL NOT REALLY BE ENTIRES...ONLY LISTS OF WHAT COSTUMES I WILL BE BRINGING TO WHAT CONVENTION AND ANY DEFINITE INFORMATION ABOUT MY WEDDING. THEREFORE, SINCE THEY ARE ONLY SIMPLE MESSAGES, I WILL PROBABLY DELETE THEM AFTER TWO WEEKS.
Thanks, its been fun.

Current mood:  blustery

Well its highly unlikely that i am never apart of some new book phenomenon, but i am just jumping on the bandwagon with this one. I brought the book back in September, but just got around to reading it earlier this week. I never expected it to be as huge as it was! When i walked into the theater, it was nearly packed. Not Dark Knight packed or Harry Potter packed, but that might have been because i went to the 4:10 movie. So for a matinee movie, it was overly crowded...especially with fan girls that applauded after the new Harry Potter trailer and clapped after the end of Twilight...laughed throughout the movie...cat called Edward on screen.

Anyway, when i left the theater, WHOA! There was a line all the way back to the concession stands and people were cheering, asking us how the movie was, etc. I was in shock and went to Books a Million right after the movie to pick up the next book in the series.

Well, i thought the movie was good. Not as good as the book with several changes. I can understand the changes in the movie because they were needed. The book moves too slow for a film form. OMG I LOVE EDWARD! I can understand how some fans claim that they wish their boyfriends, even husbands, were more like Edward. THAT would be amazing! I just couldnt stop looking at him and stuff.  LOVE HIM! LOVE HIM! lol

So, Jessi is now a Twilight fan. Sorry this review isnt REALLY indept. I'm still thinking about the movie and replaying it in my head. I cant wait for the DVD...i might do a fan music vid with Boys Like Girl's Hero/Heroine playing. It just fits so well.

Current mood:  excited

I am extreamly thrilled to have Barack Obama as the president of this country. This was my first time voting and, although he didnt win South Carolina, i feel that he will make a good president.

I am extreamly APPALLED at what people are saying and boo-ing on this McCain speech right now. Please people. Grow up. I'm 21 years old and if Obama had lost, i wouldnt be spewing bad thoughts and ill wishes on him across the internet and tv. Its so immature. People that want to move out the country, go right ahead. It's not like Obama cares if you do and i SURE AS HELL dont care if you move. To those that want to bring race in this, Obama is BIRACIAL. He is just as much black as he is white.

Just note this, i do not see Democrats saying anything horrible about McCain over the internet. All i see is Replicans and McCain/Palin supporters saying racist, evil, etc remarks. IMMATURE! GROW UP! SORE LOSERS! Not once in my facebook status or myspace status did i say anything about McCain being old as the creation of this planet or Palin being a stupid woman [*cough*].

But, yeah, i'm totally excited and would run around outside with my Obama-Biden sign if it wasnt wet and raining. Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day at school.

Current mood:  adventurous

Omg, what an awesome two days. I'm STILL super excited as i type this blog.

So, yesterday was the first day of Xcon. I didnt go to class, but i woke up and started gathering things for Esther. After putting the costume on (it takes awhile) i sat in the living room with my roommates for quite some time before leaving for the con. It was VERY difficult driving in that costume and i broke a piece off the armor thingie on my arm. oops. I want to remake it anyway. But i ended up learning how to drive in that costume as i made my way to the con.

First day was simple. I got my X Girls tshirts and walked around the con a bit. I didnt think i would buy anything, but OMG WHAT AWESOME VENDORS! Each vendor had so much cool stuff that i'm so upset i didnt have much money to spend. I actually brought a Vampire Knight Night Class Girl's Uniform [whoo. thats a lot to say] which was REALLY good quality. I was so amazed at the quality of costumes they were selling that i would have felt horrible not buying one. haha. I then brought a Cheetah PVC figure to add to my figure collection. I'm going to probably make that costume for costume cons next year - before HeroesCon i know.

I then left and drove home [in ESTHER]. We stopped at Wal-Mart and i wore the costume inside. I got several weird looks even on Halloween. When we got home, we picked up all the kiddies and went Trick-Or-Treating. There was hardly anyone our t-o-ting and we only hit up a few houses. So me and my roommate/best friend went and brought the 5 girls some candy and gave it to them.

When i woke up this morning, i went ahead and drove to Xcon. I stopped at my apartment to gather up everything i needed. I stayed up late last night fixing Yoko's top, but i'm quite happy at the result. I ended up wearing Yoko first meaning i drove to the con wearing it. I'm pretty sure the people in my apartment complex thought i was a stripper or something o.O

When i got to the con, i wore my X Girls tshirt over my bikini top because Yoko is skimpy. DUH. I walked around for a bit and spent ample minutes looking through comics. I really wanted some but i promised myself i wouldnt buy any. Then, JEN CAME! I was so happy to see Jen. It has been at least two years since i seen her. She's the cute little korean chick. haha. Anyway, Jen was dressed as an Umbrella Corps scientist and i liked it so much that i think i might do it. Her little sister was a zombie with really awesome makeup. Jen got to speak for the news-crew that was there so i have to watch that tonight. Her sister like stalked her in the background and then attacked her. It was great.

We then walked around and i met some more awesome people. I love smaller cons for the fact that you can talk to nearly everyone there. Some Japanese Club people showed up. One of the members, Laura, was wearing her really great Xemnas (Kingdom Hearts) costume.

I then suggested we go on the beach for pictures with the professional photographer that was there. So Renee, awesome & sweet X Girl dressed as Poison Ivy, made it happen. We went out back to the beach and saw the awesome Xcon sand sculpture. Everyone in costume then took pictures around the sand sculpture.

After that, i changed in my Magician costume for Disgaea 3 that i brought from Dia. The headdress is SO HEAVY. Nothing really much to say about me wearing Magician/Skull. I got asked who i was a lot and went up to Tom Seely's table. He's the artist of Hack/Slash, a comic. I really want to read it and wanted to buy his comic, but i decided that i could buy it from a store or online since i didnt want to spend any more money.

I changed into my last costume, Halibel. Everyone was amazed i had brought 3 costumes. haha. They asked me how many i had and i said "A Lot". This one lady absolutely freaked out when she saw me as Halibel. She comes dashing over and goes "HALIBEL! I'm a Bleach Fanatic!" I was like "Thank you for knowing who i am".

I took a lot of random pictures in Halibel since i hadnt taken any pics hardly. I found some other Bleach cosplayers. They were actually the vendors and they put on some of their costumes. I took a pic with them still.

I then changed into jeans, X Girls tee, and Yoko wig. I went to see Bob Camp's panel. He's from Ren and Stimpy fame. He was pretty funny and i was going to ask a question, but someone else asked it. It was still a great panel.

I then left after this. I didnt want to leave so early, but i was super tired and had to get back home. Xcon World was really great for a first year con. I dub it Dealer's Room Con since that's where all the action was and where everyone seemed to hang out the entire day. I loved the con and cant wait for next year. I promise not to have SO MANY costumes. haha. I already know what i'm going to be :)

Current mood:  busy

Just got back from watching HSM3 and boooy am I happy with that movie.

First, a couple of things. NO you will not like this movie if you havent watched the other two, dont like musicals, not a fan of the series, etc. That is no need to go on the internet and bash the movie like so many people have done at places like Fandango.com and IMDB.com. You either like HSM or hate HSM. There really doesnt seem to be room for any in between. Cheery, feel good movies are a nice refresher for the movie fan in me. I like to see happy people sometimes since most of the other times i'm either watching comic, book adaptations, remakes, or action things with lots of shooting and death. So this movie just made me feel happy about LIFE! It's an escape.

With that said, on to my review.

This is your typical High School Musical except that the dances are way more intricate with changing sets, lights, etc. Disney certainly made use of their budget for this film. It wouldnt have looked right coming on the small screen...this movie was MADE for the big screen. My favorite dance number was Troy (Zac Efron) and Chad (Corbin Bleu). Their junkyard dance scene was amazing and the coreography -did i spell that right?- rivals any other dance musical movie i seen. That was probably the best musical number in the movie.

The songs were typically. But lemme just say...EMO TROY!!!! Zac's got this really emotional solo that was awesome. Second best dance + song in the movie. It was just really great and i absolutely loved it.

The dissapointing parts of the movie...I didnt really too much like the Graduation dance scence, but it does put the nail in the coffin for the series i think. The final dance number seems like a tribute to the series since the name of the song is "High School Musical". Then the 6 star characters, Zac - Vannessa - Corbin - Lucas - Ashley - Monique [their real names, not stage names. lol] take a final curtain bow in front of a large High School Musical sign. But the actual Graduation scene's dance was kind of all over the place and didnt seem well coreographed.

The storyline was typical, but i think this one seems more realistic then the others. Sure, kids are still breaking out into song, but it puts us all back at a time in high school during our senior year where we knew we were all going seperate directions and we had to face that decision. I thought it was nicely done.

So, i'm probably the only one of my friend's list that actually CARES about this movie and this franchise. I certainly was the oldest one in the theater besides the parents of all the kids. But i had a good time and i'm glad i decided to go.

Next movie i'm going to see is probably Saw V on Sunday...Despite the fact that i think its awful to keep this franchise going and going and going and going. There is already talk about the 6th movie. Watch VH1's "Scream Queens" reality tv show. It's all about finding an actress to play in the Saw VI

Current mood:  amused

Ya know, it is really hard not having my boyfriend here. No matter how many guys are around, my thoughts are always on him. Its wonderful we get to talk so much now and i just asked him to order me a whole bunch of stuff that has things like "I Love My Soldier", "Soldier's Girlfriend", and some really cute sayings. I ordered two hoodies and two tshirts. I LOVE THEM and cant wait to wear them because i LOVE HIM. He even got me the one day shipping so it should be here on Wednesday. I'm excited!

Other then exciting news about my beloved Soldier, i am pretty much sucking at school. To those that think the english major isnt hard [i get that a lot...], you are so wrong. All areas of study have there hard points and with English its the fact that you have to read a LOT and write a LOT. In one class we read like a novel a WEEK and now we're getting into the longer novels like The Hobbit and The Shining. Its a popular ficition course so we're reading really awesome stuff from different genres. My favorite so far has been the western, To Tame A Land. We're reading Sci-Fi now, Dawn by Octavia Butler. It's an out of print book so i ordered it off the internet and havent gotten it yet, but i am so intrigued by it. It's a black author writing Sci-Fi with black characters. Awesome. It reminds me of being a black author that writes fantasy.

In other classes, this week alone, i have two papers, a proposal for my research paper, a rough draft of another paper, and a couple of articles due. blah. I hate it all.

I spent a lot of money on books today. Most were for class, but i did pick up two books that i might get to read eventually. I already have a book on my shelf that i havent gotten a chance to read because i am always reading stuff for class...so this adds two more. I brought some fantasy book called A Wizard's Rule. I'm a sucker for titles like that. I read the first page and it seems so interesting. I also picked up the first book in that Twilight series. Everyone is telling me i MUST read it and i'm shocked i have just heard about this book when it has such a strong following and a movie coming out.

In cosplay news, I ordered two wigs the other day: My C.C. from Code Geass R2 and my Eruka from Soul Eater. I got them both from CosplayWig over on ebay, the same place I got my Yoko wig. I'm really excited to get them because i know they'll be beautiful. Those two costumes are for Katsucon if you're wondering. After they're finished, I will be doing a Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles costume possibly and someone from FF12 [but i'm not telling] I also have some other plans that arent worth mentioning because a. they may be secret...dunno if i'm willing to tell and b. i wont be able to start them until probably April-ish.

Oh, and i've been to two concerts: Nelly with my best friend, Cierra and my roommate, Ivy. And Estelle/The Roots/Gym Class Heroes with my good friend from high school, Mia. They were both really awesome shows and I had a good time. I'm writing somewhat detailed reviews on lj probably. Or maybe not...

Current mood:  bouncy

Today was me and my sis's last day at work. For those that dont know, we worked at the same place in the same department and made wonderful friends with everyone there. They totally surprised me with the dinner. My sis said she knew and i somewhat had an idea...but they kept me going with 'little white lies'. I honestly thought we werent gonna get the dinner! But at lunch time they told us to come over there and they had the food all spread out. We also got cards which means we racked up about $65 (my sis had more because she worked with two ladies specifically all summer and they gave her a card as well). We also got a cake from one lady. Its so huge o.O I dont even think i can eat it all...

It was somewhat sad to leave work. If it was maybe a different environment or something, i would totally enjoy hanging out with all of them.

When i got home, i actually packed a little bit. Basically i just picked out the manga, books, games and dvds that i wanted to take. The lucky ones were then packed away in boxes.
Books i'm taking: Harry Potter (entire series), Pendragon (entire series so far), and a couple of asian themed novels
Manga i'm taking: Tsubasa, Trinity Blood, Vampire Knight (all entire series so far), Death Note (entire series + The novel), Rurouni Kenshin (the first two omnibus volumes)
DVDs & games i'm taking: far to many to name, but know that i have my games in a cd case so i wont have any of the cases which saved some space. ALL my Wii games and some of my 360 games. My dvds are mainly anime series including Gurren Lagann, Gantz, Basilisk, Rurouni Kenshin, Outlaw Star, Haruhi, Paradise Kiss, etc.

I have a LOT of packing to do tomorrow before the football game. I also have to clean my room, shampoo the carpet, throw away clothes/shoes i dont need/want/cant wear anymore. Plus i'm trying to figure out if i need the sewing machine this semester since i only have like two costumes i'll probably work on down there - not including Yoko...- Theres still a lot of stuff i need to buy & deciding what plushies to take (my children!) is going to be difficult. My mom brought me this awesome, fancy hamper today so i dont have to use my ugly plastic one. And cosplay really helps out with decoration because i'm using my Hanataro medicine tray as a fixture in my bathroom to hold all neccessary stuff -its gonna look great!-

I know my last blog was quite depressing on the subject of moving in, but i'm quite happy now that its actually so close. Not too happy about school starting, though.

Current mood:  pretty

why the [beep] will people read a blog only to not comment. Trolls are such weetards. so many views with so little comments.

Anyway, just a random friday. CINO day was earlier and it was all right. I wore a skirt so i didnt really get to do anything, but i did walk around, get a balloon hat, and make my own candy art in a tube (mine came out crappy...) Also, nearly got in a shouting match with someone from Japanese club about these drama filled officer positions. It was crowded on the Lawn so no one heard me. I wasnt exactly yelling, but i was fuming. Long story short for those that dont know: I gave up my position Mon after it seemed everyone would vote for some other girl who i didnt even know was running. I talked to the advisor on Wed about the entire situation and she told me that i should just let it be because i'll be a senior. Thurs they decide to hold elections again which i didnt find out till today. I'm not running again for the fact that i probably will be too busy. The guy told me to my face the girl would probably be an amazing president and i've just decided to let it go and let her have it. I'm the ONLY one that knows the position right now so she'll still have to learn it from me. Shoot, i know ALL the positions whether they like it or not. This biracial guy in the club was all "Why they kicking the black girl out!?" and i'm just like whatever. I dont exactly know if it has to do with race (kinda doubt it), but we'll see how the club runs next year. I probably will be busy.

Springfest tomorrow. Hopefully without drama. Totally wish i was at New York Comic Con this weekend, but oh well.

Ben 10: Alien Force was SO GREAT tonight. I'm a B10 fangirl and will shout it to the world. Amazing series is amazing. I have a few gripes about this new season/series, but i'm not going to write about them here. Doing a detailed thing in my livejournal sometime tonight.
