"See This Through" has an almost happy, simple acoustic lick in the
beginning, but, as is what's common with More by now, your face is soon
rocked off. If More would become ultra-mega famous tomorrow (let's
hope), I'm convinced this would be their nation-wide hit- it's
definitely one of my favorites on the album.

As many of you know, I've spent the past several months writing and recording original music and putting my band together.
 
Between learning new things, like different recording techniques, and realizing that putting together an awesome band is more difficult and time-consuming than I originally anticipated, it has taken a little longer than I expected...but I believe it has been well worth the wait to do it right.
 
Now all that effort has come together and in the next few weeks I'll be sending out announcements about the new band and the launch of our webpages.
 
I think my new band is pretty kick ass and that you'll like everything you hear and see. We'll be anxious to know what you think of everything. So....watch for bulletins, read the blogs, and keep in touch.
 
And once the myspace page is up, be sure to become our 'friend' and check back often as the band page will be updated frequently with new pics, new music, new merch, and/or show and tour information as all becomes available!

Hey everyone!

I know…it's been a LONG time since I last wrote a blog entry, so I'll try to fill you in a little on what I've been doing.

Aside from obviously writing and recording, I did some house cleaning.... in more than one way! I found myself frequently distracted....and frequently frustrated at myself for getting distracted frequently! haha 
So during one of my ADD moments, I decided to go through my equipment and figure out what I wanted to keep, replace, and kick to the curb (the curb being ebay)…I also did a major re-evaluation regarding how I write.

Over the past several months, I have had the good fortune to have met some great people in the music and recording industry that I highly admire and respect, and to receive advice and feedback regarding the business as well as on my own work.

At first I tried to utilize all of the advice, but it took a while for me to realize that I needed a major overhaul…and I am finally starting to figure out how to make it work with my own personal habits and qualities....And by doing this, I have found that I am much more productive and really pleased with the music I am composing and recording.

Also during this "revelation" of mine....a voice spoke to me and said to get rid of the crappy gear that I didn't use or want anymore....it also told me to go out and spend money on some cool new gear lol

Well people, that's pretty much it for now......

I am still going out for select auditions with bands I feel would be right for me.... however, my primary focus at the moment is on my own original material.

It is getting closer to the time that I will be seriously auditioning musicians for my band (the name still TBD), so while I will definitely put out a notice at that time, if you happen to know anyone right now, have them message me through myspace and I will let them know what to send to me…and shoot me a message with their name so I will be looking for it.

For my old friends and new...and also just as a good beginning to having an occasional blog for providing you with updates...I thought I would let everyone know what I have been up to.

While I have always been interested in music, and have played in a few bands, I have recently become much more focused and serious about my future and a career. With that in mind, I have been spending a lot of time writing songs and have also purchased some new equipment to help me with playing and recording. This has resulted in me being fairly immersed in the process and I am quite pleased with the results thus far.

It is tedious but fun work, especially because I am solo right now. As I complete my songs I will be uploading them and letting you know what all might be going on. As things move forward, I should be posting updates much more frequently...but at this time, I am just hoping to touch base every few weeks or months. I will try not to let too much time go by though.

Right now I am working on forming my own band to perform and record original music...but I will also continue to audition for bands looking for a guitarist/singer/songwriter...if it is the right opportunity and fit. So, if you know of anything, send me a msg and let me know!

That's pretty much it for now...
