Times have changed. Largely due to the financial pressures of touring Cairo Knife Fight is now a duo. It's a pretty hectic and intense procedure, downsizing a 6 piece band into a 2 piece: but i think it's working well.

I'm now playing keyborad bass with my left hand, drums with my right and live loop pedals with my left foot. The drums and bass can be looped or played fully live... it's a cool set up..

Aaron's still playing guitar and is doing some BV's too.

We'll be fronting this new set up on our three show, album release tour staring on Friday August 14th at Bar Bodega in Wellingotn w Mara TK. Next is Auckland at the Kings Arms w The Motts on August 15th and finally Thursday August 20 at The Dux with a special guest yet to be decided.

Our first single 'Iron' is on the latest NZ on Air hit disk out at the moment. Thats pretty much all i wanted to say. I must confess that i've never actually listened to a hit disk. Until recently i didn't even know what a hit disk was. Now that i do I'm quite happy that we've gotten onto this one.


I think i looked at one a few years ago and Betchadupa was on it. Thats really my entire history of relating to hit disks inone short sentence. Until now of course.

Cairo Knife Fight as just set up a facebook page. It's got the goods on future shows and info about our long journey to the release out our debut record 'Iron' this year in June.
