Information (English):What do you have to say about CREMATORY, Germany's most succesful Gothic Metal-band ever? After more than 15 years of band-history and a creative break of 3 years they've returned with their comeback-album „Revolution" in 2004 - marching back to the Olymp of Gothic Metal music cementing their leading-role in the genre.
The first Single release „Greed" from the just mentioned album, popped straight into the German Media Control Charts and thereby marked the first Single chartentry in the bands' history. With the „Revolution"-album, which charted Top 50 in Germany straight after it´s release as well, the band proved with outstanding salesfigures that CREMATORY were not only able to mobilise their fanbase but winning numerous new supporters with their unmistakeable sound.
The remarkable issue is that CREMATORY gained worldwide success not limited to the germanspeaking territories - followed by innumerable interviews and concerts where CREMATORY were hailed by their fans. This has been captured in the comeback-documentary-part of the DVD/CD-package „Liverevolution", which was released in autumn 2005.
Back in 1996 CREMATORY established themselves as genrepioneers, as the release of "Crematory – Das deutsche Album" was not only praised but criticized. Nevertheless the band consequently proceeded it´s way onwards and a german song has been presented on nearly every album since. It was clear that after 15 years of CREMATORY there has to be a special present for the fans and so the band decided to give the fans what they've been yelling for the last 10 years: A new german album with the exceptional title „Klagebilder"!
„Klagebilder" has been the right album that featured the expected amount of smashers with eardrilling refrains and clubhits to dance to, demonstrating that the hitfactory CREMATORY was without doubt powered by high voltage. „Klagebilder" entered the German charts on rank 66 – an excellent position for today standards indeed.
What should follow this musical „fortress"? CREMATORY in their creative and musical zenith? No way! „Gothic Metal" and „back to the roots" were the catchwords targeting the new album-production with the title „PRAY" – and once more they were fulfilled to the max.
On the musical scale CREMATORY are burning down indescribable fireworks of „earwig-hits", with fat guitarriffings being even more aggressive and intense compared to the past.
Lyrically – on the vocal side – darkness dominates „PRAY" again. Going back to english lyrics, the vocalsplitting between Felix and Matthias, the clash of extremes in deepness and cleanliness, has been maintained.
The Keyboardsounds got a massive facelifting as well. CREMATORY didn't only dig out the earthy sounds of the good old days, but even upgrated them with orchestral arrangements.
A way far beyond Technosamples and digital sounds – back to the darkness of the past, with huge stringarrangements and choirs that guarantee neverending gooseflesh attacks.
The production again was taken care of CREMATORY themselves in the Kohlekeller Studios with the assistance of producer Christian „Kohle" Kohlmannslehner being the bands' long time companion since „Revolution" and „Klagebilder". A dynamic and massive sound of international standard is guaranteed!
The german tour under the motto „PRAY OVER GERMANY" starts in May 2008. In the summer the band will play some festivals all over europe and a tour in various, selected countries will follow during autumn and winter 2008.

Information (German):Was gibt es zu CREMATORY, Deutschlands erfolgreichster Gothic Metal Band, noch zu sagen? Nach über 15 Jahren unvergleichlicher Bandgeschichte und einer kreativen Pause von 3 Jahren, kehrte man mit dem Comeback-Geniestreich „Revolution" 2004 auf den Gothic Metal-Olymp zurück, um die eigene Vormachtstellung im Genre zu untermauern.
Die erste Singleauskopplung „Greed" aus besagtem Album stieg auf Anhieb in die deutschen Singlecharts ein und markierte für die Band den ersten Singlecharteinstieg ihrer bisherigen Kariere. Mit dem Album „Revolution", welches ebenfalls sofort nach Veröffentlichung die deutschen Top 50 Albumcharts einstieg, bewies die Band auch dank eindrucksvoller Verkaufszahlen, dass CREMATORY nicht nur ihre langjährige und treue Fanbase mobilisieren, sondern auch zahlreiche neue Fans für ihren unverwechselbaren Sound begeistern konnten.
Das Bemerkenswerte an dieser Tatsache ist, dass CREMATORY zu einer weltweit gefeierten Band wurde und nicht nur in deutschsprachigen Ländern abräumte. Es folgten weltweit unzählige Interviews und massenweise Konzerte, bei denen CREMATORY von ihren Fans frenetisch abgefeiert wurden. In Bild und Ton wurde dies in Form der Comeback-Dokumentation des DVD/CD-Packages „Liverevolution" festgehalten, welches die Band im Herbst 2005 veröffentlichte.
Bereits 1996 etablierten sich CREMATORY als Genre-Vorreiter, denn der Release von "Crematory – das deutsche Album" brachte der Band nicht nur Lob sondern auch Tadel ein. Dennoch verfolgte man den eingeschlagenen Weg konsequent weiter und man präsentierte seither auf fast jedem Album einen deutschsprachigen Titel. Es war also ein leichtes zum 15jährigen Bandjubiläum im Jahre 2006 diesen Schritt erneut zu gehen und den Fans das zu geben, wonach sie seit 10 Jahren bettelten: Ein neues deutsches Album mit dem außergewöhnlichen Titel „Klagebilder".
„Klagebilder" war genau der richtige Longplayer, der die erwartet hohe Anzahl an Ohrwürmern, sowie tanzbaren Clubhits mit eingängigen Refrains potenzierte und eindrucksvoll unter Beweis stellte, dass die Hitfabrik CREMATORY ohne Wenn und Aber mit Starkstrom betrieben wurde. Ein hervorragender Platz 66 in den deutschen Albumcharts wurde mit diesem Silberling erreicht.
Was sollte nach diesem Bollwerk denn noch folgen? CREMATORY auf dem Zenit ihres musikalischen Schaffens? Weit gefehlt! „Gothic Metal" und „Back To The Roots" waren die Schlagworte, die als Zielvorgabe zur neuen Albumproduktion mit dem Titel „PRAY" dienten und die einmal mehr konsequent und bravourös umgesetzt wurden.
Rein musikalisch brennen CREMATORY ein unbeschreibliches Feuerwerk aus gewohnt eingängigen Ohrwurm-Drillbohrern, gepaart mit fetten Gitarrenriffs ab, die zudem noch aggressiver und brachialer als in der Vergangenheit intoniert werden.
Textlich und gesanglich regiert auf „PRAY wieder die Dunkelheit. Zur englischen Lyrik zurückgekehrt, wurde das Vocal-Splitting zwischen Felix und Matthias, der extreme Zweikampf zwischen tiefen und cleanen Gesängen, beibehalten.
Auch an den Keyboardklängen haben CREMATORY getüftelt und somit nicht nur die erdigen Sounds vergangener Tage ausgegraben, sondern diese auch verfeinert, sowie orchestrale Arrangements integriert. Ein Weg abseits von Techno-Samples und digitalen Sounds, hin zur Düsternis vergangener Tage, die mit fetten Streichersätzen und Chören nie enden wollende Gänsehautschauer garantieren.
Produziert wurde das neue Album erneut in den Kohlekeller Studios mit Christian „Kohle" Kohlmannslehner, der mit der Band bereits sehr erfolgreich die Alben „Revolution" und „Klagebilder" produzierte. Ein fetter Sound, der internationale Maßstäbe setzt, ist daher Programm.
Die Deutschlandtour unter dem Motto „PRAY OVER GERMANY" wird im Mai 2008 absolviert! Im Sommer folgen zahlreiche Festivals, sowie die Auslandstour im Herbst und Winter.
