I've read many of your postings and I owe it to all of you to respond:

I understand all of your frustration and anger, and I never meant to let any of you down. Your support for Scars has been so important to me and the band. I would never cancel a tour unless I had real reasons and personal things that require my undivided attention. The music of Scars will live on, but now is a time when aspects of my life need to be tended to. I hope all of you can understand.

Scars on Broadway's North American tour, scheduled to begin October 19, as well as their October 14 performance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," have been cancelled. Late last week, Malakian concluded that his heart wasn't into touring at this time, so he made the decision to cancel all scheduled performances. There are no plans to reschedule. Ticket refund for the North American Tour will follow shortly.

The second tour promotion is much like the first. Scars is hitting the road and we want you guys to promote the shows, this time with flyers. The stickers were gone within days due to the overwhelming response, so for everyone that didn't get to participate in the first promotion, here's another chance.

If you live in one of the tour cities, send an email to scarsonbroadway@velvethammer.net with the subject line "2 - [CITY]". (For instance, yours might say 2 - VANCOUVER)

To participate, you must be able to promote HARD in a city where Scars is playing on this tour, and you must own a digital camera.

The best promoter will win this limited Scars banner below signed by the band. No one has this thing, so it's truly limited.

Scars on Broadway will make its network television debut  on Tuesday, October 14 with an appearance on ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live."   While two songs will be broadcast on-air, the band will perform a  free, five-song mini-concert on Kimmel's Outdoor Stage located right in  the heart of Hollywood.  "Jimmy  Kimmel Live" airs at 12:05AM ET and PT/11:05PM CT.
 
Those interested in seeing Scars on Broadway in  person and being part of the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Outdoor Stage audience for the Scars performance can log onto http://www.1iota.com/ for  ticket information and do the following:

* Click on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" logo
* Click on "Get Tickets"
* Scroll to the October 14 Scars on Broadway  event and click on that link to request  tickets

In the coming weeks, we're going to be announcing the next set of Scars promotions, this time aimed around promoting Scars' upcoming North American tour kicking off on 10/19. The first promotion is detailed below.

For teamers in or around the below tour cities, the new Scars stickers are here and we need you to hit those cities HARD with these. You kill it; you hang with the band at the show. Simple as that. If you're really dedicated, send an email to scarsonbroadway@velvethammer.net with the subject line "SCARS TOUR STICKERS - [YOUR CITY HERE]". For example, your subject line might read: SCARS TOUR STICKERS – SALT LAKE CITY. Instructions will follow. You must own a digital camera and be able to promote within the city limits of one of the cities listed above — we love the suburbs, but stay out of 'em! Hit up the cities. The best THREE promoters will each get a pair of tickets and backstage passes to see Scars.
