Hello!
My name is Nathaniel Montgomery and I am the chairman for the board for a new nonprofit called A Single Light (ASL). ASL is developing a new website that lists all of the nonprofit cancer outreach and support organizations across the country in order for cancer patients to find the help they need. Currently we are developing the website with an outside contractor, however, in order to keep costs down we are electing to do all of the website testing in house. Our current volunteers who were helping with the testing had to leave due to a family emergency and we need to fill their place to move forward with the project.
This volunteer project would entail using the new website and checking for errors. No programing is needed, however, a good eye for detail is. IF you would like to help out please contact me. This would only take a couple hours of your time each month.
Thank you!
Nathaniel

Hello Fellow volunteers:
A Single Light has just lunched the 10x10 program. The 10x10 program is contest to get ten of your friends to donate $10 dollars a month to A Single Light. The person who signs up ten people to this program the fastest will get a $50 dollar gift Certificate to a store of their choice, the 2nd person a $25 dollar gift Certificate to a store of their choice, and the 3rd person to sign up 10 people will get a $10 dollar gift Certificate to a store of their choice The program ends on March 31st.
Each donation brought in by the 10x10 program will help fund A Single Light and take us one step closer to becoming a national nonprofit organization. Since ASL is a 100% volunteer organization all proceeds will go straight into ASL programs. (meaning no money is spent on items that does not benefit cancer patients) Each person that participates in the 10x10 program has the opportunity to bring in $1200 dollars per year for ASL! And all of that by asking a few friends to support an organization that you truly care about!
So far the individuals who are committing to this program are: Eric Hu, Nathaniel Montgomery, David and Vickie Milton, Amber Laurel, David Tang, Jayee Banerjee, Nikhila Jaakiram, Jason Ngo, and Hahn Dang. If everyone of these people complete the ten for ten program they, as a group, will help ASL earn $10,800 dollars PER YEAR!
if you would like to join the 10x10 program please let us know. If you are worried that you won't be able to do this please read the following!
"In a questionnaire given to 1751 people 87.4 percent said giving to an organization that a friend or loved one recommended to them about was in the top three reasons for giving to a specific charity. 58.4 percent said it was their number one reason for giving!
So please at least try to do this. We are sure you will be surprised about what you can do if you really try!
All materials including an asking script (how to ask your friends and family for donations), a credit card transaction log, and a training powerpoint will be provided to you as well.
Information about the 10x10 program will be sent out to the participate individuals shortly.
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!
A Single Light
