After you are tattooed remove the bandage two hours later. Wash tattoo with Antibacterial soap and water.
Blot dry and let tattoo air dry for approx 15 minutes. Re wrap tattoo with new plastic and repeat washings every 4 to 6 hours for the first 48 to 72 hours or until weeping (slime) stops. The 8 hours while you sleep will be the longest you'll go without washing and changing the bandage. Make sure you wash all the slime off and let it completely dry before rewrapping the tattoo.
After the weeping stops switch to (unscented) Curel Lotion or Luberderm. Apply as needed. Do not rewrap with plastic. Just use the lotion. (DO NOT LET TATTOO DRY OUT) Your tattoo should peel like a sunburn in approx 3 or 4 days. Do not pick at it. Do not expose the new tattoo to sun for a least 30 days. No swimming or excessive soaking of your new tattoo tattoo until healed.
