"The citywide bird of New York is the middle finger"- John Bradshaw Layfield.
I wish said proverb was in my head a couple of days ago while headed toward work. You see, I was taking the bus toward a transfer toward the hated (at least by me; but then again, I am THE HATER) F-train, where the "F" don't stand for frequent. Anyhoo, the last stop on the bus is the transfer point, and as the bus stopped, I noticed a guy asleep. So I let loose one of my trademark yells to alert him to the situation. After I felt he had been sufficiently notified, I left and ruched down to the platform only to watch the train doors close in my face. Another train shows up after a half-an-hour wait. And I am of course, late. Sigh...

Podcast? Yeah, the site's going to put one up soon, again. The original one was supposed to be up right after the Super Bowl, but that was ruined... be me... MY BAD...
---
Ha ha, I obtained SSBB before most of you. Good to know people who'll break street date. Even better when I don't work while the shipment arrives.
---
"When's the next editorial?", I've been asked. I'm surprised some of you actually like my writing style... You're some crazy people... or a bunch of masochists when I insult you as a whole. As for the editorial, it might come in aforementioned podcast (shrug).

Current mood: infuriated
The experience... As usual with taped MSG shows, trying to get in is hell. So my friends and I passed the time by pointing at anyone with WWE paraphernalia and yelling "MARK" at them. You should have seen the concession line when I did that to everyone on it.
I probably missed the dark match... I assumed it was Yang and Moore vs. Snuka's boy and Domino...
Flair vs. MVP was good for what it was worth.
JBL and Jericho wasn't very entertaining, but as long as I get to chant for the wrestling... (dramatic pause)... GAWD...
Crowd was HEAVILY in Edge's favor against Rey Mysterio. I make comment saying Rey Mysterio was invited to Neverland Ranch.
Great to see Hardy lose... I did not want him to be vindicating yardtarding...
The Rumble: I was pissed when Cena came out. He got the loudest pop of the night, but when it came down to him and HHH there were louder chants for the guy doing the boss's daughter. I made a comment in full "Uncle Ruckus" impersonation that the ring was getting "re-vitiligo"... Superfly and Piper get HUGE chants. Kid in front of me drops his camera to the fans below during Kane entrance. Hardcore Holly was an idiot for sliding in the ring when he could have eliminated both Michaels and Undertaker by pulling them out, but I did want to see whether he'd potato Undertaker. Did not need to see Little Bastard McMahon get an elimination... Santino Marella of course got the unfortunate "I'm the idiotic n00b" spot.

expect Vince/Stephanie McMahon to send Cryme Tyme after him for no reason other than to exploit him for ratings...

An invitation to all the independent wrestling promotions in America, and even the rest of the world… We at Backstage Powers want YOU on our forums. In order for your hardworking talent to improve their chances in furthering their careers in this dog-eat-dog industry, exposure is necessary to keep their dreams alive. Backstage Powers will GLADLY help in that cause, since we ourselves are trying to reach more viewers. Backstage Powers and Independent Wrestling (and maybe even backyard wrestling)… a marriage/civil union based on not only mutual goal, but of love for the sport and the spectacle we've all enjoyed our whole lives.
How would this relationship work? Well, this site has done pretty well I'd say in the search engines in spite of not having much material to work with. People do look at our site; I'd assume mostly northeasterners. The few (and I unfortunately stress "few") who currently peruse our forums are connoisseurs of the various styles of wrestling around the world, and we constantly look to expand our horizons. Plus, the Captain and I are as straightforward with our praise and criticism as we both represent many demographics we believe the business attracts.
Come on in. Leave us a few videos for our viewing pleasure. We definitely will not get anywhere near the respect other sites would get from the IWC, but independent wrestlers and promotions will at least get a sense of what the everyman believes is the trend. Contrary to popular belief, Backstage Powers is not in the business of killing dreams softly; we are out to help the community as much as we can… and to continue holding back the Internet.
