Current mood:Flickering
Category: Art and Photography

Volume = Colour presented the first viewing of  a current work in progress titled 'Field' at Audio Actions, Gertrudes Brown Couch on Sat 8th November. The installation consisted of three two meter tall panels painted with one image then separated and illuminated with the flicker of decaying florescent lighting.

On the night the panels, along with a film of their making, created the visual backdrop to the Infinite Decimals' set.

This was the first view of what is a more ambitious work, scheduled for completion in second half of 2009.

Current mood:Undivided in appreciation!

Volume = Colour's edition in the Long Division With Remainders project series -  a four track, free download Ep was released August 2008 - due out on CD as part of a box set in 2009.

For this series release, Volume = Colour employed the talented assistance of friends Cam Butler, Michael Munsun, Geosophy and Primitive Charlie to mix their music with tracks selected from the LDWR stable.

One of these tracks has been uploaded to our myspace profile, '9 (version 1) Passing Signs', Geosophy has uploaded another, 'Alpine Tea Ceremony' - these titles are superseded on the official release to '9 (Version 1)', '9 (Version 2)' etc.

Free download available at www.ldwr.net

Thanks to Justin at Bad Hand Films/Front And Follow/LDWR for inviting us to be a part of this ambitious series of releases. A big thank you also to the mixing work put in by our kind friends.

We love Volume. We love Colour. Volume = Colour.

Volume = Colour travelled to Adelaide to perform at the 2007 Adelaide Fringe Festival with a show at Spank Gallery’s 'Impending Doom of HMS Black Sun' exhibition opening w/Artax Mission & Dan V on 15th March.

Two other shows were kindly organised for this tour @Urtext film space w/Birth Glow & All Made Of Rubies on 16th March - photos/review of this show @ http://spoz.blogspot.com/ - and @ The Exeter w/Group Seizure on 17th March.

Thanks to Staci Wilson from All Made Of Rubies who organised shows and backline equipment for us, thanks to the folks at Urtext/Excitement Machine who drove us around, also thanks also to Group Seizure who brought a drum kit all the way from Melbourne just so we could play on the same build as them.

The wonderful Mime Set who's early evening show on 17th fortified us (along with some fine Irish whiskey)  to play The Exeter that night!

We had fun in Adelaide!

We love volume. We love colour.
