Junior Rafael - Junior Rafael Presents Darkroom Traxx II (MRR00000012)

Released 06 July 2009

Artwork by Anti Limited
Limited Pressing of 525 copies, all tracks recorded at Lake View East, Chicago, 1990 - 1996

A1/A2 - Anything 4 Ur Love/Promise Me
B1/B2 - Satisfaction/4 All Da Men In My Life

Available in all good physical and online stores now!!!

Boomkat had this to say about it:

"Junior Rafael unleashes more relentless ....Chicago.... punishments on the 'Darkroom Traxx II'. If you can cast your mind back to sweaty stomp of the first 12" you'll know what to expect here; four ....Chicago.... box beats designed to leave you dripping, sore and with the sleazily contented buzz of a thorough house thrashing. All the elements are executed to exacting darkroom requirements, dominated by rigidly pounding patterns and layered with just-over-the-shoulder whispers of man-chat that we couldn't repeat here. Satisfaction."

Katelectro vs. Jauzas The Shining – Plug EP (MRR00000010)

Deep electro/nix from Bordeaux on limited CLEAR BLUE vinyl, with a synthed remix by Ottomatique and a dark twist from Ultradyne.

Mastered by Alden Tyrell
Artworkby Jobes

A1: Plug / A2: Plug (Ottomatique RMX)
B1: Plug (Ultradyne RMX) / B2: Art Of Noise

Available in all good physical and online stores NOW!!!

Boomkat had this to say about it:

“Nasty sleazed up electro house (the good kind) from French practitioners Katelectro and Jauzas The Shining for the ace Mighty Robot records backed up with a smartly sinister Ultradyne remix. The original mix of 'Plug' is one for the
darker dancefloors, think slow strobes, amyl nitrate and evil looks across the dancefloor. The brilliantly titled Ottomatique rethinks the track as a mid-eighties Industrial meets disco killer with pulsing bass and moody hero synthlines but it's no match for the might of Ultradyne's toxic revision, spilling evil industrial sonics
all o'er the joint and crafting a bassline that sounds remarkably similar to Peter Van Hoesen's trademark grunt-bass. Recommended for all the dark f**kers and sleazy jackers. “

About three years, ago a platoon of  slightly worse-for-wear Mighty Robots witnessed Dirty Hospital playing a live set at the Soundhaus, Glasgow. They were blown away.

We are now delighted to release "Dirty Hospital – Leave The Planet".

Mind Grind in particular seems to be hitting the spot and is already getting some serious play.  Check it out on our Myspace player.

Harri (Sub Club) - "Mind Grind is dynamite ".

Andrew Weatherall used it as part of his special Meltdown set at the Royal Festival Hall, London the other week and is including it in his forthcoming Rotters Golf Club mix. Dave Clarke has mailed in to say that he's loving it too and it'll be making an appearance on his White Noise show very soon (that'll be four Mighty Robot releases in a row). Plus those lovely Italians Ajello have been dropping it at their infamous Mafia Club.

Don't forget the other three exceptional tracks on the release - recently described as "Boards of Canada with balls!".  The Robot can be a bit retentive, so he'd also draw a comparison with some classic mid-90s UK techno like B12, Balil etc.

Available from the usual outlets from mid-July 2008.

Enjoy.

We're pressing a rather splendid EP by Dirty Hospital at the minute.
Check out the track Mind Grind on our myspace player.
The other tracks on the EP are more reflective and almost have a classic mid-90s UK techno feel - Balil, Stasis that sort of thing.
